With as much traveling as I had been doing recently I decided it was time to register myself for…read moreTSA Precheck. Getting started is easy, it's the follow up that is horrible. Starting out it is all online. It goes fairly quickly and then you are kind of on your own. They tell you of nearby offices that will assist you with completing the precheck, but it kind of goes a bit haywire for the person and can be overwhelming. First, the location of this one that is located in Monroeville is so odd. Literally they tell you on the website that it is in the plaza next to Elmer's. That's fine and dandy, but that plaza has several businesses. Honestly, you would not know to come in here as the outside of the building is unmarked and adjoined to a Farmer's Insurance office. In fact, they are technically two different addresses with two different doors, but when you go inside it is all one shared space. Second, when you go inside there is no one at the reception desk. You just go in with hardly any direction and kind of figure out what to do. The whole time I was here, I didn't see anyone approach that reception desk and was worried that I wasn't going to be seen. Somehow, by miracle of miracles, someone did come and get me. What is odd is that everything you answered online, you will have to answer again here. Like every single question. Instead of all that information transferring in and being able to make this a quicker visit. The employees can be a bit terse, so I think Nancy can sit down for a minute. Looks like you just came on here to write a review to offset what is reflected. Unlike Nancy, my appointment wasn't for the next day and I had a wait a few days to get an appointment as I have a life that doesn't revolve around typical business hours for an office. I did receive my TSA approval rather quickly. Faster than what they report on the website. I think they claim anywhere from five to ten business days. I had it by the end of the week that I had my appointment.

Check their website for all that they offer. It is best to make an appointment ahead of time since appointments are given priority over walk ins. I had recently made application for TSA precheck and brought in my required documents to my appt. Once inside you sign an arrival registry and then asked to take a seat. Cell phone use is prohibited here so no photos were taken. I was called back within 5 minutes of my appointment time. I presented my appropriate documentation and was told I didn't need anything else. I sat in a bolted chair while answering background questions on a computer screen including criminal history. After that the lady did a complete fingerprint scan including thumbs and then I had to pose for a picture as shown on my identity card. Finally she took my credit card since TSA pre check requires you to make payment regardless of outcome for their services. She told me I would probably hear back from them in a few business days but to allow up to 60 days maximum for processing. The whole visit was about 15 minutes maximum. It is very important that you come in with the correct documentation requested since that will delay your application from being processed and you will need to return. When in doubt, check with the issuing agency of that document and they will steer you in the right direction. The lady who waited on my was compassionate and very friendly. She addressed my concerns and made me feel at ease. I'm looking forward to getting my approval soon since I saw they had processed the application when I got home. I went on 2 trips with this group , years ago.... Malory and Bill were very nice, but…read more... My first trip was a cruise. I didn't have a roommate, and I asked to be matched with a roommate. I paid extra to make sure I have a balcony room as I really wanted to enjoy looking at the ocean every day from my bed and getting the breeze off the ocean. I asked to room with someone, something they do if you want to share the cost. I got to my room before my roommate did as both beds are exactly the same both have a night table. Everything is exactly the same in the room. I just picked one bed because I wanted to lay down, so I chose a bed and was resting when my roommate came in and threw a big fit as to why I got to have that bed closer to the window and she proceeded to put all of her things across the common coffee table area and then took her bed spread and pillow and put it on the couch, leaving me with only my bed to sit on because she was now hogging the whole couch when I left the room for activities and came back. She had moved things that were on my night table, lit candles in the room and moved other things of mine as well. At the dinner table., People were approaching me with "is that your roommate?" And "I'm so sorry for you" as my roommate was going from person to person insulting each of them... And I approached Mallory and Bill about her behavior as well as her touching my stuff in the room, lighting candles and not leaving me alone. I had no peace in the room at all. My choices were to stay with her or to move to an inside room which does not even have a window to see the ocean from my room it's just an enclosed box. So, She was REWARDED with the entire room with a balcony TO HERSELF for her bad behavior. Meanwhile, the rest of my trip was in a tiny room with no window, and I was not compensated at all in anyway, and did not get the enjoyment or relaxation which I had OAID FOR and looked forward to (for months). Amazing journeys had let me down. I thought, however I would give it another chance after all what were the chances of being roomed with two horrible people??? So I decided to go to Israel and booked a roommate. This roommate also was a space hog, but not as bad as the first one, she ran ahead of me into the room and tossed her stuff across the entire common area not leaving me 1 inch to even put a hairbrush down. Then when we went out as a group one night, we were all walking, and apparently they had ordered transportation for us which consisted of one large, beautiful stretch limousine, and two small cars without air-conditioning. So the pretty people ran ahead into the limousine and myself and a handful of others were stuck in two cars, following two small smelly cars with no air-conditioning... This was disappointing to say the least you don't expect to be treated this poorly when you're on your vacation. For these reasons I will never book with amazing journeys again it shouldn't be a matter of if you're popular or you can run and elbow your way in front of other people to get the best... Very disappointing. The idea of it is great.... but personally, I would never go with them again unless they compensated me in a meaningful way for all that I've been through on those two trips.

Overall, my trip was truly fantastic, but there were two things that weren't…read more.. First of all, for a singles trip, I expected roughly half & half, but there were only 5 men on my trip. We had 32 people total. Also, I took the trip when I was 53, and I was told that the age range was 50 and up. It turned out that I was the youngest by about 10-15 years. Most of the people were in their 60s & 70s. They were all wonderful people, but I would have liked to know both things before I signed up. Next time I'll know the right questions to ask.
