This is an awesome facility and I truly enjoy spending time there. There's something for everyone no matter what your fitness goals are-- during my time as a member I've gone from "taking a break" from working out and doing a lot of yoga/relaxing and now currently getting back into a bodybuilding program. The gym offers a variety of equipment and I never have to improvise due to lack of equipment. I might be staying the obvious here, but if you are into powerlifting, I would probably go elsewhere. The cardio machines are brand new and really nice. The actual place itself is very clean. I feel totally comfortable showering in the locker room and they have everything you need- towels, body wash, lotion, razors, etc. The outdoor pool is really pretty and nice to relax at after a workout. Staff is super nice and helpful. I have yet to buy any food from the cafe but it looks good. Definitely some good options if you're in a bind or spending a long time there. I will gladly pay the extra $ to train in a clean and peaceful gym.

Pros: The instructors are great at designing fun, challenging classes. Exercises that use a variety of equipment like sledgehammers, monster truck tires, sleds, and battle ropes will have you feeling like a badass. Trainers are comfortable working with all skill levels. Good variety of class times to fit your schedule. Other members are friendly and inviting which makes for a motivating environment. Personal training and weight-loss challenges are great additions to the classes. Cons: Classes are outside, so it can get hot in the middle of the day. Best time to go is early morning or sunset. (If it rains they move class indoors.) Bottom line: The classes are top-notch, but what makes Evolution special is the amazing staff and welcoming community they cultivated. Look no further to reach your fitness goals.

I don't live in this city so I assumed that non residents couldn't participate, but it turns out you can -- just for a couple more dollars than the residents pay. It's a bargain! Tonight I came to try their adult Zumba class. I'd been talking to Ariel W about it after hearing that she came here. Ariel was nice enough to get all the information for me and we arranged to meet a bit early so we could walk in together. At the check in desk, I explained that I was a guest and "first timer". I signed in and filled out a waiver. By then it was on to the class. Turns out that have a fully equipped gym here and offer all sorts of classes and even personal trainers. There is a schedule of events and classes by the check in desk. Woohoo! They let me try my first class for free. What a nice surprise. The class began promptly at 7:30 and ran the entire hour. Thank goodness I was able to pull from my vague memory of past dance classes as the pace was pretty fast. Had a few good laughs at myself trying to follow along and keep up. Sometime I had no idea what was going on; but It was still a lot of fun. The other people in the class seemed very nice. The instructor even stopped by afterwards as we were chatting to welcome me to class. Thank you Ariel for making this happen. It's so much more motivating and a lot more enjoyable when you have someone else working along with you. Now if I can still walk tomorrow, I may even come back next week..

Im short: The most efficient HIIT workout In the game right now!…read more I love working out and im always looking for new challenges that push me harder. I also have undiagnosed ADD, so I've tried every workout concept imaginable (F45, CrossFit, orange theory, PIT fitness, immersion fitness, boot camps and the list goes on). BodyTek is the only one who keeps me gaining and guessing what's next! Class design: 45 mins to an hour with the particular class being either a total body workout or weights Wednesday (upper body or lower body). The total body workout will be a mix of upper and lower body stations with cardio and HIIT peppered in the stations. You have a certain time period to complete each workout in the station before moving to the next. I love this part of the concept because it makes me feel productive in moving towards the last station. The workouts are designed to burn fat, gain endurance, build strength and gain music. The amount of workouts they cram into an hour is unreal but the results are very real! I am a music aficionado and if boutique gym does not have good music they will never see my face again. This is nowhere near the case with bodytek. The music is dope every class and it motivates me to work harder. They even have speciality classes sometimes like Noche Latina ( all Latin music blazing while burning out your legs) and a post Christmas workout to burn my 5,000 calories consumed the day prior. The facility itself is like a family. The trainers are all amazing and are always making sure everyone has proper form so no Injuries occur. My favorite trainers are Vida, Francisco, and Santiago. All of them being such high energy to the class and make your butt kicking enjoyable! If you are looking to develop a new healthy habit in the new year give Bodytek a try. I promise no other concept will compete with your results from this facility!

Both gyms are about the same distance from my house, but I prefer the Boca location. They have the same amenities, but the Boca gym is much more aesthetically pleasing. He tried to play it off but never answered me. I explained to him that I'm a member and don't appreciate being disrespected by being barked at like if I was a dog. This gentleman proceeded to escalate the situation and asked me if I wanted to have a problem with him. He might be used to threatening people in his life, but I don't play that nonsense. Customer Service 101, apologize and rectify. I politely explained to him that instead I wanted the solution of being treated with dignity and respect. Like all cowards he tried to play it off instead of manning up and being accountable for his immature and unprofessional behavior. He commanded me to "walk away" to which I responded with "apologize." He refused and then squirried away from the front desk. To exacerbate the situation, one his older white coworkers (Lee?) told me that he would beat him up if he ever barked at me again. Instead of an apology, I got another clown trying to punk me. I then saw them both talking so I approached them to have a professional conversation. This time the white employee ran off with his tail between his legs and the tall African American employee told me, "don't come at me." Instead of having a professional conversation, he also ran bravely away. BTW, I'm 5'7" and 160 lbs. This gentleman is 6'4" and at least 200 lbs.
