I came into town for a business trip and needed a place and to exercise my huge biceps ;Gold's Gym happened to be located next to the hotel that I was staying at. My first impression with the gym was a strong one, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Because I was in town for an extended amount of time, the staff gave me a great deal on a 2 week membership pass. At first sight, the gym was moderately sized, and very well maintained. They basically have all the equipment you could ask for, from foam-rollers and heavy ropes to TRX bands. They also have a good amount of treadmills and cardio machines that aren't overly crowded. And if your stomach starts to grumble they have a bonafide smoothie bar that's the bee knee's. My personal favorite is the Peanut Butter Trump (don't worry, there's no walls keeping you out of this smoothie) with chocolate whey and extra peanut butter. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!! I had the worst experience ever with them, I really recommend any gym but this one. Once you sign up you are forced to pay 6 MONTHS of membership even if you move or decide you don't like the gym. They screwed me over and cleaned my bank account. There are so many other gyms to choose from and this is just awful. I am apart of a couple other training/ workout places and I make sure to tell everyone about my experience because no one deserves to go through what I did. Save your money and go to a better gym. read more

I warned my wife that she needed to watch for these people trying to rip her off when she tried to terminate her membership (after she fulfilled the contract period). They proved me right, of course. First, when she called to cancel, they said she had to make an appointment to cancel in person. Then when she went down, they made her wait so long that she had to leave after 45 minutes to make it to another appointment. She went back down later that evening to cancel and filled out whatever was asked of her. I asked her if they gave her something in writing and when she said "no" I told her they'd still try to rip her off, which of course, they have. She cancelled mid-December and they billed her credit card again for $107.49 on December 27th. These kinds of scumbags shouldn't be allowed to stay in business. They prey on people who are poor money managers and too unorganized to force them to end the membership. I'll be contacting the BBB, Visa to report the fraud and my attorney to see if we have a shot of suing them for the loss of time and headache these con-artists have caused us. read more

Sales team was not very friendly and pushy. Called us multiple times a day. The facility was lacking in equipment. Child care while you work out should be a free service for members included in membership. read more

Went in to ask general questions about the gym, it's membership costs etc. I was told to make an appointment with a manager because different people have different rates. The young lady working the counter couldn't/wouldn't give me any information about fees, services or anything. Basically I felt like I was interrupting her morning. Maybe it would have been different if I were already in shape and not just a fat guy looking for a gym to join. read more
