A reservation number was provided. I was asked to provide the expected time of check in and the reason for my travel. I reluctantly entered the reason as "to view solar eclipse" on April 8, 2024. The reason for my travel is none of Dan's business and in hindsight I shouldn't have provided it. Several hours later I get an email from Dan canceling the reservation with the statement, "The cabins are not available for eclipse viewing. We have something else planned for the eclipse viewing. Those dates should not have been available on the website. They should have been blocked off. That's a glitch." It was very unprofessional of Dan to cancel a reservation made on their own site with open availability and to inquire in to our personal travel plans. The cancelation was arbitrary and discriminatory. Regardless of what their own site says and allows you to do as far as making a reservation and providing payment, be aware Dan will backdoor your plans after you think you've made a reservation, even with a reservation number provided. This was a terrible business experience. Here's the real crux of the issue: The dates were not blocked off and were available For $115 per night. When he realized he can get so much more than that, Dan disallows my reservation. We'll see in the coming days/weeks what the new price is on those properties for those dates. Shame on Dan and Camp Manitowa.

Okay so both 5 stars and 0 stars all in the same review:…read more The good. We have been season ticket holders for a few years now. Some of the plays are just fantastic, others still good, but not rock-n-roll great. There are 2 theaters, a smaller one where they have the murder mystery dinners and more intimate plays and a larger one for the bigger productions. The cast has several regulars who do a great job as well as newer cast members from time to time. The location is great and we usually grab a bite prior to the plays at one of the local restaurants. The plays usually have cookies and drinks and you can buy a refillable plastic cup to bring back each time you come for a play. The dinner shows are fun murder mysteries and have games and other fun activities throughout the play to break things up a bit. The food is usually okay, not great, but not awful. Still, well worth the price of admission. The staff are super friendly and always great to work with, especially the ladies that help with tickets and get things arranged. The plays recently have imbedded leftwing political themes, which have been a bit off putting. Sometimes these choices have nothing to do with the play and are just imbedded for no reason. This will be our final season.

Kids waiting room review I dropped my kids off so I could go…read moreto a medical appointment (ages 12 months and 3 years old). Upon return from my appointment, I could hear my son (12 months) screaming through the door. When I open the door, an employee was holding him saying "he's fighting his sleep so hard". The employee goes to hand me my baby and poop smears all on my arm. I replied "he pooped, he smells like poop. Not only that, but it's all inside his shorts. That's why he can't sleep. He's wet from poop" I go to lay my baby on the changing table when I noticed my three year-old is doing a potty dance I've never seen before. My special-needs 3 y/o is potty trained. He has been attending the ASYMCA since he was 20 months (operation little learners and other programs) and is very familiar with the staff. (I had never seen a woman who was in the kids waiting room today) when I asked my three year-old, he said that he did say "potty" a couple of times. He wasn't able to tell me why they didn't take him until I got there and asked for him to be taken to the restroom while I clean the poop off of my 12 month olds bottom half. I did speak with two directors before I left. I asked why my 12 month old was left in poop then informed both directors he's now suffering from a rash. They apologized then tried to stay that the woman in the kids waiting room didn't know he pooped because "she wasn't holding him." I informed her that I witnessed her holding 12 month old and that she handed him to me directly from her arms. I also told them that not only did he smell like poop, but she handed him to me in soiled clothes. (A diaper bag was left there with diapers, pull-ups, wipes, and a change of clothes for both kids. (No way she didn't smell or feel the poop seeping through his clothes). I was also informed that since the kids waiting room is only a two hour wait period that they aren't supposed to change diapers. Good thing I put a pull-up on my potty trained three year-old. Otherwise I would've been dealing with one pissy and the other shitty upon pick up. with all this being said my 12 month old won't be back. To leave a child in poop until he suffers a rush is ridiculous and they didn't even change his clothes. It sucks not being able to trust the military community around you. My husband and I are truly heartbroken.
