We were staying at a cabin in the area and our son had been begging to go swimming, so a google search led us to Super Splash. We packed up and spent four hours there and were super impressed. The place was well kept, the water was clean and a good temp. It was 101 degrees out so it was busy but there was plenty of room for everyone. Our son loved loved loved the lazy river and the tipping water bucket. All of the lifeguards (and there were at least 5 for the small park) were attentive and courteous. We packed our own food so I don't have any input on the concessions but they appeared to have all of the basics. For the 3 of us it was $25 all total to get in. I will tell you this... put. your. flip. flops. close. to. the. water. We're novices and put everything way on the other side of the park and the pavement was SCORCHING. Like blisters on my feet. Had a good time here with friends from church. For small kids, the lazy river is perfect. For bigger kids, there's a nice large wading pool, with an elaborate structure that periodically dumps a massive bucket of water on screaming children. And for skilled swimmers, there's a lap pool. So, something for everyone. However, I'll ding the splash park for the concession stand. They didn't have pizza (even though it was listed as an option), so I got the pretzel, and it was stale and too salty. Nachos were ok. Fortunately, they allow guests to bring in food, which I'd highly encourage others to do. Anyway, the splash park is worth visiting, especially on a hot summer day. It's not Disney World, but it's good, clean fun. read more

Okay so I'll start this off with simply telling y'all never go here and if you do go here I say DO NOT bring your children here. This place is like if malaria, bronchitis, HIV, rabies, West Nile virus, and the common cold all had a baby together. This place would be that baby. I talked to one of the lifeguards the last and FINAL time I will ever be here. The lifeguard said that the place had never been cleaned since the first month it was built and open for business. The city of Carbondale park district is a lot of things, and clean is not one of those things. I took my little girl here with my wife and I turn my head for literally 17 seconds, and she comes back to the chair I'm sitting in with a used swim diaper in her mouth like a dog with a chew toy. I threw up all over my wife's hair because of the sight of my daughter with a used diaper in her mouth. It wasn't hers either! And long story short, my wife slapped the sh*t out of me for puking in her hair and I was sleeping on the couch for a month, so yeah, thanks a lot Carbondale Super Splash Park!! read more

We got there today at 3PM. I asked the lady working the check in what time they will be open until. She said 6PM. At 3:30PM they made an announcement that they will be closing at 4PM. I wouldn't have paid out of town full price for one hour. A little honesty would have been appreciated. My son didn't get to swim in the big pool, he only had time for one lap around the lazy river. I won't be coming back. The park isn't worth full price for last minute closures that doesn't offer vouchers for inaccurate information. read more

Carbondale Super Splash Park - Pool! - Water Parks Near Me - Carbondale, Illinois

This is literally the only place to cool off in Carbondale. The staff and lifeguards are friendly. The food is ok. Nothing great but what do you expect? The lazy river is fun. Here's the issue. After coming here 5 out of 8 days, my daughter cut her foot on a piece of glass INSIDE the pool. Staff checked it out and thought it would be ok. We took her to a doctor to make sure it was clean. A second visit was necessary.edication was needed. My daughter couldn't walk normally for 10 days. The staff never got back to me even after I visited. I called the city county office and they are giving the run around as well. I have hired a lawyer to continue with this. We'll see what happens. We will not be back. Sad. read more

This was a very fun day with the kids! It is very affordable, and a nice low-key outing. There is a lazy river, a smaller kiddy pool with a small slide and a giant bucket. There is one water slide for the older kids, and then the deep pool with the diving boards. You are allowed to bring your own food, and concessions are available for purchase as well. There is plentiful seating, shaded areas, and picnic benches. There is a discount for area residents. A great place for a summer day! read more

Very inexpensive public pool. With lots to do for all different age ranges. Are the diving board that's 12 ft deep Watter. There's a lazy river (that they make you have a float). A regular pool. And a nice slide, plus a splash pad for the little ones. read more
