The people are nice but they're trying to get you to PAY TO BECOME A TRAVEL AGENT. It's a classic scam that they've been doing for years. Oh and the FREE CRUISE you get is from a 3rd party company that IS HORRIBLE. You'll never get a response, never get your cruise, the only thing you'll get is a wasted day. read more

I saw their booth at a local fair. They had computers set up to put your information into to "win a cruise." What do you know, they called and said I won a cruise! As other reviews below state, you really have not won a cruise. They call and tell you that you have to come and attend their 90 minute hard sell pitch, where they try and sell you a multi thousand dollar "travel agent package." Read the ample other bad reviews for this place - do yourself a favor and google them and see what Reddit discussions say. Don't trust me, do your own research. :) read more

They're a scam for sure. They called us telling us we won a free cruise from a raffle ticket. Turns out everyone who entered that raffle ticket "won" . They wanted to set up a 90 minute presentation. If I won a "free cruise" due to a raffle ticket then why do I need to watch a presentation? Anyways, they'll call you in, show you their little timeshare presentation, then tell you how you have to pay port fees etc. but "don't worry! Your flights and cruise are paid for!" . After reading their reviews, I decided to cancel the appointment so I don't waste the reps time and to my surprise, the rep had the audacity to be defensive and argumentative lol. I've attached the text conversations. Any reputable company would NOT allow nor behave in this manner lol. read more

CASABLANCA EXPRESS .... I encountered two employees...Jeff(first) and Julio (second) if I would've encountered the second employee first, Julio, this would be a 5 Star rating.... Let me start from the beginning... it is SO HARD to get in contact with a live representative (no matter what time you call). The recording says to email (you'll receive a response in 3 business days)--no one gets back to you; or go on the website (and chat with to a live agent) ... live agents ARE NOT available in the chat feature online AT ALL no matter what time you try. I tried Calling a few times throughout the day being on hold over 30mins and not getting anyone... Today I thought I was LUCKY, someone named JEFF picked up the call after I was Waiting 22minutes! I thanked Jeff for picking up and explained how difficult it had been to get ahold of a person. I told Him I had two matters to discuss...I began explaining the first matter ... i submitted my activation online which told me i would receive an email with the tax form and when i went online it wasn't linked to my account he told me to login and i can print the form he put me on hold as i logged in (which was unnecessary given i waited 22mins and we were only on the call for 3mins at this point) I logged in and told him there was no option to print he instantly said 'let me transfer you' didn't wait for a response and i wax Transferred to a voice mailbox (mind you i told Him i had Multiple things i called About). I tried Calling back a few times and finally got ahold of someone else, JULIO... i explained My frustrations with Julio and he assured me my experience would not be the same. He was right!!! He was able to help me and went above and beyond!!! He answered all my questions, sent me the tax deposit forms and was completely amazing!!! There should be more JULIOS in this business!!! He put customers first!!!! Thank you Julio! read more

They have booths set up all over right, home garden fairs etc. none of those booths say you have to be 35 to win. Fun fact I guess you do. I received the postcard offering a short free trip for coming to a presentation. I made an appointment Citrus Heights, having no idea that it was a "join our travel agency, become an agent, and enjoy this free trip on us" kind of disingenuous pitch. Soooooooo. Where do you want me to start. I have three trips but they are all mid week focused... good luck on getting a weekend... NOT. I have to say my partner was smart when the words came out of his mouth... basically... PYRAMID scheme. If I'm allowed to give out the travel agent code and get a kick back great! Again pyyyyyrrrramid If you want to be a travel agent... maybe this is for you... basically it's the company giving you there travel agent code so you can book a trip. You pay $180 a year and you get one week... oh but wait... there is a hot week. I'm sorry but you really need to understand that the people you asked where they went on vacation and they answer with.... Chicago... why would they want to pay you 9k? Tricky tricky... ok so the nice thing is I was totally upfront and didn't want to join and said it twice and they understood. That's nice!! Look you know your finances better than I do... . The people that work there are welcoming! They were sweet and totally kept me engaged. They all work on salary and they make that known. So they say no sales but then there's sales... buy buy buy. Hey. Dan, thank you for not pushing us but if you no longer want us to stay, please don't punish us with having to stay and not signing the form. The gentleman that helped us out of the office was fantastic and had a great handshake! The people up front were knowledgeable and helped explain our gifts.. you know I never got my bonus gift for taking notes!!?!?!? Can you contact me with that bonus gift? Everyone was sweet and brought us water and o saw them give others coffee. Coming here was something to do and I bet people sign up all the time. Again thanks for letting us go!!! Scam and a half. Asked specifically about group travel and was referred to Beatriz multiple times over 6 months via in person, emails, direct voice messages and through reception and nothing. HOW IS IT ACCEPTABLE TO NOT RESPOND TO PAYING MEMBERS FOR OVER 6+ MONTHS?! IT'S NOT! Takes advantage of seniors. Gives no help or resources. Just takes your membership fees and leaves you to fend for yourself. My pour mother was suckered into this scam for over 2 years until I stepped in and saw what was going on. read more

This is a waste of hard earned money, unless you have oodles of money...then, sure, join. We were offered a 2-year membership (the affordable option for us at $1,500.00). We thought we would at least get to try it out and break even with booking our own honeymoon in Oahu and tickets to our friends' wedding in Jamaica). Well then Covid-19 broke out, cancelled our wedding/honeymoon, and cancelled our friends' wedding. So, all of our booked vacations through Goldrush were cancelled--plus we lost extra money we had to pay for additional trip insurance since we didn't think we wouldn't be able to travel anywhere for a year, we had only purchased trip insurance that covered us getting the funds back to book another trip--not cash back. So, we had to book a whole other "fake trip" and buy additional cash back trip insurance to be able to get some of our money back. All in all, we have roughly calculated we have lost $2,100.00 due to losing extra money on trip insurances. We didn't get to use our "free" 3-night Tahoe weekend voucher given to us as a gift for attending their seminar to entice us to join. And our other "bonus" for joining, five nights in Oahu, also went in the trash because our honeymoon got cancelled due to Covid. Goldrush gave everyone in their temporary membership program an extra year's worth of membership when Covid hit. At the time this seemed like a good and helpful gesture. But, our world of travel just opened back up to us a couple months ago. Not on Goldrush's timeline. We never got to use any condo Hot Weeks nor our Condo Certificate for 1-week's stay because none of the 50+ condo resorts I looked up allow dogs. This was a huge blow to us since we had been trying to book one for months. None of the places accept dogs. Look up any of these places and their pet policy online. (I only looked in CA and AZ, but I would be shocked if there is a condo resort on Goldrush's website in the United States that does allow dogs.) Also, the cheapest you might find a Hot Week for nowadays is $299/week for a 1-bdrm where you'd have to leave in a few days to book it. But no dogs allowed! All in all, this was a waste of our money and lots of wasted time. If you don't have $1,500 you would want to drop on the sidewalk right now, I wouldn't recommend signing up--even with Covid potentially not affecting travel in the future. The nickels and dimes we have earned in commissions from booking one off hotels for ourselves/family has totaled less than $90 in these past two years. One of the reasons is that for people like us who sign up on a 2-year membership, we get only 60% of the total commissions for rooms we book for ourselves and even less if the room is booked for a family member. A mere drop in the bucket to help make the $1,500 membership fee worth anything. The lifetime membership has an annual fee to keep it going ($150 at the time we signed up--I'm sure that fee has gone up) and we were quoted just under $9,000 for the lifetime membership. If I do the math and figure every two years we will make about $300 in commissions (I'm being very generous), that would take 30 years to break even. Haha. No thanks. I think the meaning behind the name of the company is that they are getting away with people's gold. And I'm sure we are some of the lucky ones, who didn't sign over all of our gold. read more

I keep reading how Goldrush Getaways is a scam. It is far from a scam. Think of it this way, you are buying a business. It cost me 6K. I am currently looking at the cruise lines. Every cruise line has an agent portaL. Goldrush getaways is a well-respected agency. Most cruise lines give you around a 15-16% commission per booking. In addition, there are special agent rates. One agent rate I was quoted to South America 19 days was just over 500 bucks. If you like traveling, this is the way to go. The staff is courteous anytime I call for questions. Currently taking the courses in Princess cruise line under the agent portal after which I will get a free cruise read more

If you know a lot of ppl who travel it is good. It's a high pressure sales meeting and we got suckered for $7000. We used once for airfare for friend not much savings. I can find stuff in America for just as good or better pricing. Reason we bought because they had monthly special at time they showed us $200 a week places but once we got sucked best we could find was 400. This company called me a few times. A few days ago, I answered their call, and there was no one on the other end. Just silence! A rep called me again today, and I didn't want to deal with her sales pitch going on and on, so I just hung up. She had the audacity to call me again. I asked her to take me off her list, and she rudely barked "You don't have to be rude about it!" And SHE hung up on me. Um, who called who?? If you are going to call a potential customer, treat her/him with the utmost respect. PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE TO RECEIVE SALES CALLS! I am never going to enter these drawings at festivals again. These travel agencies like to tell you that you won, but that you have to come in and listen to a sales pitch in order to receive your trip, or whatever it is they claim you won. read more

Last year, my wife and I relaunched our efforts to explore relocation to Europe. As an agent for Goldrush Getaways, we had access to better-than-average information and resources. Even with our access, we needed help. We reached out to the local office in Citrus Heights who connected us with Ethan Spanier in the San Jose office. Ethan proved to be exactly what we needed, and our trip, 28 nights from September 7 through October 5 were incredible. We slept in 7 cities from Athens to Amsterdam and visited an additional 5. Thank you to Jeremy and Natalie of GoldRush Getaways. I had difficulty fulfilling my 3 day Tahoe getaway gift and they immediately took action with their fulfillment company. Within 24 hours I received confirmation of my reservation for the 3 day Tahoe gift. The fulfillment company was unable to deliver due to pent up travel demand caused by the pandemic travel delay. Even though I was unable to take part in the travel agent benefits Gold Rush Getaways provides, I will look into it in the future. It will be perfect when I am able to cruise with our extended family as well as enjoy better hotel rates and condominium rentals. As with any travel benefit, one has to have the time to get away as well as learn to do the work to attain 60% discount and travel agent huge discounts. Otherwise getting to know the company, utilizing their work as a travel agent provider is a good start. Overall, I am pleased with the attentive, prompt service I received from Jeremy and Natalie once I brought the reservation confirmation issue up for their awareness of the problem. Thank You Gold Rush Getaways. read more

Um, actually Jeff. We weren't experiencing financial hardship. But that's very cute that you think calling me poor is a kind way to treat someone. I mean, I guess you wouldn't know much about financial hardship since you steal money from people. But you can give whatever reason you thought you heard. Im pretty sure me and my husband said we weren't comfortable spending so much money on something that's not guaranteed to produce anything. And it didn't. I don't remember a return. Tell me the exact date you returned my money and I'll check my bank account. Because everything is digital and it'll be really easy to find it, if in fact it's there. Which I'm sure it's not. We did not leave happy. We were being polite. But we also felt bullied because I remember you or whoever, treating us like 2 children. It was a very condescending interaction. You made us feel like leaving with just our money back, wasn't an option. And actually I do believe you may have refunded half. But I'd like all my money back because I got nothing I was promised. And it's really bold of you to throw it in my face and everyone else's faces that we agreed to your little scam. First of all, of course I did. Because you advertised something completely different than what we got. That's literally the definition of a scam, sir. I didn't travel or use your services because your little company makes it so incredibly difficult and convoluted to figure out. Im a full time student Jeff. We have jobs. Real jobs. Not just sitting back and scamming people out of their money. I don't have time to take some 2 hour long course on how to use your website. You should've made it clear that more than one class is necessary to even be able to learn how to use the services provided. It's a system literally built for failure. If you have all these "awards and accolades", shouldn't your process be easier to navigate? But it's not. And the funny part of all of this is, I would never have even posted a review like this, if you hadn't sent that email. Automatic or not. Also, if your business is so reputable and wonderful, why can't you figure out a way to stop automatic emails from going to dissatisfied customers? Because it really felt antagonizing to receive that email. I wanted to forget this mistake I made. I even blocked your company. I don't even know how that one email got through. I'm not upset that I made a mistake. I acknowledge that. What I'm angry about, is that you try and bully people when they realize it was a mistake to invest in your scam. You harass people and guilt trip them into thinking they're 100% in the wrong. then you spit in their faces with emails and Yelp replies. Have enough decency to leave people alone after you scam them. read more

We went to our presentation last weekend. Sure, it all sounded wonderful. Very friendly presentation and Very friendly staff UNTIL you decide to "think about it" and give it some "breathing room" I mean... it's OUR MONEY after all, right?!?!?!!! All $9,000.00 of it - Soooooo, excuse us if we're a little cautious with our HARD EARNED MONEY. After we, for the 9th time, told them we needed to get back to them, they treated us HORRIBLY. If you don't commit after "HER" 90 minutes of "fake" enthusiasm - they'll hastily grab the paperwork from you and let you find your way out. Icky!!!! So.... for the record: WE ARE NOT INTERSTED IN YOUR B.S. You all are fake as F. Just a big bunch of bullies who lash out when they don't get their way. And the "Rip Off" little prize getaway is also a joke. They REQUIRE that you send them $50.00 for "tax" BEFORE they will give you a list of qualified hotels. They do this because the hotels they put you at ARE DISGUSTING!!! You'll never see your $50.00 again... and chances are you will HATE the approved hotels and not even go. Another prize gives you $1,000.00 to stay in a network of approved hotels. The catch is: They only give you about $40.00 off of EACH reservation so you're basically paying for the entire reservation at each hotel you stay at. Such a waste of time & energy just to unveil ALL THE SCAMS. SCAM!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!! SCAM!!!! read more
