I grew up in Michigan and moved to NYC in the late 1990's. I've been buying "Moon" oil from this…read morelittle Genesee Valley kiosk stand since I was a teenager. Although I moved around the country over the years I always managed to keep a bottle of this delicious oil with me. Most of the time I have had friends and family pick up a bottle and send it to me. Well today I happened to be in Michigan for ONE DAY and stopping by this stand was on my must-do list for the day. My plan was to pick out a handful of new oils (in addition to getting the usual) while I was there in person and had the opportunity to smell them rather than randomly choosing them by name off the website. I went to the mall, approached the stand and saw that there is now a "Moon Goddess" oil sitting next to my fav. I picked it up, smelled it and couldn't decipher much of a difference. So as I weighed the options before me I asked the woman (who is the owner and who has been running the place for eons), what the difference between the two were. She snapped back with "the oil recipes are a trade secret so I don't supply that information". WTF? I have zero interest in going into the small town kiosk oil stand business. I was expecting something like "this one has a sweeter scent" or "that one has more of a woody aroma" but no, I was rudely yelled at for asking a completely reasonable question. She proceeded to be rude when I asked for a larger bottle than the one she was getting ready to pour it into. Wait, isn't this your business that you run and make a living at? Why on earth would you treat your customers this way? Thanks a lot you bi-ach. You have completely ruined my long running love for your little oil. I put it on as I left and decided that I'm tossing the bottle. You took something that was nostalgic in my mind and turned it to something I don't like or want anymore. I guess you have saved my friends the trouble of getting this for me in the future because I will no longer be a customer. I'm being generous with 2 stars because the oil is pretty decent. The cons are it could last longer, customer service and location.

We weren't…read moreplanning on furniture hunting, but stopped in because we had searched various other places for a wooden dinette set and a cocktail table that lifts. We had looked in the big furniture stores and were unimpressed with the quality of the furniture for the price. The two brothers (buyers) that choose the furniture for sale have good taste! We found both the dinette set and cocktail table and knew we had to have them. We liked the quality of the furniture and were easily convinced make the purchase upon seeing the sales price. Thankfully we had a small SUV and someone helped us load it up. It took two trips, but we're super happy with the furniture, the prices and our experience in this store. We would come back. As for the sales guy sleeping as reported by a prior Yelper...yes, there was a gentleman sitting in a chair when we were there yet he had several spurts of activity (walking with a cane). I don't take offense at him resting and know how to request help when I want it. I'd also prefer that a salesperson await my question than stalk me while browsing anyway. That's my opinion...take it for what it's worth.
