They've since then done a few appraisals for me on other pieces and those experiences were okay. He replaced them, as well as the batteries. When it came time to pay, he told me the amount and gave me a hand written invoice showing that same amount. I gave him my credit card, he gave me another receipt from the transaction, and I left. When I got in the car, I noticed that the amount on the receipt was about $4 more than what he told me, so I went back in to find out what happened. He proceeded to flip around a sign that said there is now a 4% processing fee due to inflation and said "Oops I forgot to turn the sign around." I generally like to support small businesses, but this guy is a liar, not to mention his store reeks of cigarette smoke. I will never return to this store again.
