I took a 3 rings in and had them fitted and sodered together. They gave a timeframe of 7-10 days, they completed in 5 days. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will be returning as a repeat customer. read more

Nice selection, pretty good customer service, and they do on site jeweler repair.. This is a local, family owned jeweler, not a cookie cutter big box retailer.. I like their nice array of Pandora pieces. They have fixed my husband's Movado, Longines and Citizen watches. The repairs were all done on site, which I like. They gave me a decent estimate to solder my rings together, which I'm contemplating having done after they were 'repaired' at Medawars, who charged an exorbitant fee to fix and solder them.. while Medawars did repair them, they made my rings too large and never bothered to solder them together, which I paid for upfront (I'll be reviewing medawars soon). My husband is a fan of Gaines nice array of watches, which seem to be well priced, while I like the selection of custom white gold necklaces and rings and Pandora charms.. Customer service is really amazing, beyond reproach, and jewelry repairs are done on site and their guaranteed turnaround time is a week or less. They repaired my husband's watches with a turnaround time of only a few days. read more

After a consultation with their manager and custom designer, Ashleigh..I was able to proceed with making my dream pendant. I felt listened to and in control, every step of the way. My family loves the necklace and it even ended up costing less than expected. Highly recommend. read more

Gaines Jewelry reputation is strong because of the Gaines family who owns and operates it. They have been in Flint for decades and will continue to be here, to stand behind their work and to continue to offer the most beautiful products from their extensive collection, as well as creative custom work. We are also impressed with their skilled: appraisals, repairs, sizing and cleanings. All is done at a fair price, with full integrity, personal focus and a follow-up phone call when complete. The Gaines are active in the community: involved and 'giving back' in a variety of ways. Altogether, this is why Gaines is the best jeweler. read more

They have taken a lot of my ideas with very precious items and made them into reality! I love that they do the jewelry making on sight! They give you an estimate and your receipt when you leave has a picture of what you want! Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely horrible service! I came into the store to try to get my watch set at 5:00pm. The older gentleman stated that they were about to leave. The store didn't close until 5:30, so there was plenty of time to work on the watch. Instead of attempting to try, he told me I could take it to a Jewlery store. I replied by saying sir, I thought this is a Jewlery store. There were three people working in the store and I was the only customer. read more

Took two of my watches up there to get links removed. Nice and friendly staff. They did a great job sizing the watch to my wrist before removing the links. I'll be back to buy some jewelry read more

Local place I wanted to give my business to. Got some earrings and small ring for my better half and should have known better then use their "no credit check finance" option. Through a company called Acima and if you don't know they are a third party lender who chargers $87+ a week just to "rent" or "lease" what you thought you had purchased. I made it aware I was on a small budget and again 100% my fault. But they 100% could have been more open and honest with had told me exactly what I was getting into. I have ended paying more than double the cost of the actual jewelry. And Acmia just reached out again after months of being paid off claiming my account reopened and I essentially was starting over again because a processing fee that never went full through. In short buy here cash only. I learned the hard way read more

I needed my ring resized and went to a couple different places for a quote. I was given quotes of $300 and up for a simple resizing. I was told to try Gaines Jewelry and I went in and they were super friendly and gave me an amazing price of $55. They cleaned it and it looks so amazing. I was told it would take a week to fix which was totally fine and I actually got it back a day early so that was awesome. I am so happy with their work and with the employees. Would highly recommend them!! read more

I went to this jewelry store because they sell Pandora jewelry,I've purchased a couple of charms in the past so I thought about coming here for pandora charms for my two grand daughters as well as myself because of how busy the store was, not one associate had the time to acknowledge us waiting for help for quite some time, I chose to go across the street to Medawar jewelry store and spend my 220.00 there where I was greeted with a smile and told someone would be happy to help us as soon as they could unlike Gaines jewelry., I know our 220.00 isn't going to make or break your business however your customer service will , I didn't expect to be waited on right away I know you were all busy but a little curtesy is always appreciated . read more

I bought my engagement ring from Gaines and couldn't have had a better experience. They explained me the details of each diamond and took the time to educate me to help me make the best decision for my budget. Thanks Gaines! read more

I took my deceased fathers watch in to have the band adjusted and decided to have them fix a scratch in the crystal. In doing that they damaged the face of the watch-under the crystal) so they tried fixing it,no good,so they sent it out to be fixed, like a year later I get my watch back,it is fixed but the face has no numeral markings on it,just a blank blue face.I know the watch had numbers on it as the damage they did was just past the 1 o'clock mark.but as I have no pictures of it I cannot prove it,but after days of searching I cannot find a single Seiko watch with an empty face, all Greg or whatever the original owners kids name is says it is the same--B.S.!!! Yet he will not get back to me and show me another watch with the same face on it.Thank you for destroying a memory of my Father !!! read more

My husband and I bought my wedding band from Gaines and it was a really great experience! Everyone was super friendly and extremely helpful and patient as I took time deciding which one would look best with my family inheritance engagement ring. They are very knowledgeable about the quality of metals and diamonds and all of my questions were answered in ways that I could understand. I would definitely buy from Gaines again! read more

I went with my mother today to buy a couple of charms for my pandora bracelet. When we walked in we were greeted and we mentioned we would like to get our bracelets cleaned. That never happened, I successfully picked out one charm but never got to pick out another. Family members were in there and obviously take precedent over actual customers! I will never go back there again and will give my business elsewhere! read more

Gaines is a great family jewelry store. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and creative. They treat every customer like the most important person in the world. I recently bought the most spectacular pearl and diamond earrings. I have never seen anything like these before, they are simply beautiful. Not only were they unique (they look like something Jackie O would have worn) they were also a very reasonable price. The prices are great and the service is unmatched. I have been back a number of times because of the amazing customer service. They also carry a large selection of Pandora. Vicki (the Pandora expert) has great ideas and knows all of the pieces by name. I love this store, and can't wait to get the ring I have my eye on! read more

I recently purchased a watch for my husband, Bob Stoddard, at Gaines Jewelry on Beecher Rd. near McLaren Hospital. I worked with Mic Goulet, a true professional. He went above and beyond to be sure the whole buying experience was "spot on". I also traded a diamond and gold bracelet towards the purchase price, and Gaines Jewelry was able to give me more for the trade than the "Sell your Gold here" store I had previously used. With the Holidays right around the corner, I strongly recommend this fine Flint business. You can never go wrong with jewelry! Becca Stoddard read more
