Who doesn't know Goldilocks? Not the girl who slept at the bears' house ha. The bakeshop. They're a household name in the country because of their celebration cakes. This place banked on Filipinos happy nature; the need to celebrate even the smallest occasions and triumphs. And it's okay because they priced their cakes really cheap so people can afford a box for their celebrations. I know I prefer other cakes when it's my birthday, but I won't pass up a slice of their chocolate or mocha cake if I'm offered.
But Goldilocks offer more than just your 15-minute personalized cakes; I also like the non-dessert items in their menu, such as their pork barbecue (really sweet and tender!) and pancit palabok.
But really, sweets are their specialty. I love bringing home a box of their Crema de Fruita for Christmas (or any other occasion), and when I was living abroad, I was so happy when my mom would send me a box of Goldilock's Special Polvoron. It's a favorite Pinoy pasalubong. read more
