The one thing this place has locked down is ORGANIZATION. The place is huge and has a lot of…read moreswimmers. Although it looks chaotic, they have a great system to keep things under control. The front desk has two people working, so even if one is on the phone, you are greeted by another member. Everyone I have encountered have been so friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Once you are signed up, they give your child a color specific wrist band, so the instructors and staff members know where to direct them. All the instructors have customized shirts with names on the back, which is super helpful to me because I can't remember faces as quickly. They don't make it a point where they speak with you after every swim lesson to give feedback on your child. However, towards the end of the week session or however long you signed up for, you are allowed to go to the other side of the pool and watch your child and then you can ask and/or discuss whatever you want. When I signed my son up, he was in for an "intense" weeklong session where he went every day for 2 weeks for 30 minutes a day. He started off as a "guppy". He did the session with 2-3 other kids, so technically I was paying for only 10 minutes of swim time. However, it was still worth it because he was young, and I think seeing other kids swim helps comfort him and gave him confidence. He cried on the first day, BUT his instructor, Miss Mary Lou was super sweet and was able to calm him down. At the end of the session, he was all smiles and couldn't wait to come back. When I signed up, my son got a shirt and a booklet. That booklet is super cute and helpful! It's a fun comic for the kid, but it also tells me what to expect because they basically explained everything in there. I'm telling you, their organization is great. They thought of everything! After the guppy session, he was advanced to the next level: goldfish. We transitioned to him swimming 1 day a week with other kids again. However, when private lessons popped up, we switched. I highly recommend private 1 on 1 sessions because you get the whole 30 minutes. The instructors do teach the entire 30 minutes and never stop a minute early, which is nice. You can rest assure you're paying for the entire time. I like the private sessions because I feel like my son was able to learn more. Mr. Luke was his private instructor, and he was awesome. He pushed him, which I appreciated. Of course, when my son showed signs of fatigue or was overwhelmed, I saw Mr. Luke adjusted his methods a bit, but he didn't "baby" him. The place has lots of changing rooms and a huge shower room for the kids. There is also lots of places for parents to sit and watch their child. Although a lot of people come and go, it doesn't feel overly crowded or claustrophobic. When your child passes the float test, they have a super cute tradition where the child gets to place their handprint anywhere on the wall and write their name. It just makes the child's experience more special and memorable. Overall, I highly recommend this place! This was a great place for my son to start off learning how to swim.

We signed him up for semi-private lessons at a facility. He had recently turned 2 and was put with a child much older than him. The first lesson was horrible as he was pulled under the water with no warning. He became so afraid of the water after that one lesson that he cried to even take a bath that night. During his second lesson I became so upset, I told my husband to go in and get him out of the water. After one month and his fear only growing, we pulled him out and didn't know where we were going to go from there. Fast forward to that summer, I was able to snag a coveted spot with Ms. Emily. The first few lesson were hard and there were tears but Ms. Emily has a special gift when working in the water with children. She is loving, patient, consistent yet firm. She establishes a bond with each child so they know they can trust her. She was a God send and exactly what my son needed. She builds a rapport with each family and it is evident that she unconditionally loves your child as she would her own. My son has swam with most of the instructors at All Things Swim. Each one is an extension of Emily's teaching. They are consistent, patient and fun. Each lesson ends with a few minutes of fun time, children always leave the water on a positive note. Our instructors always greet us by name as soon as we walk in door. It makes you feel special, not like you are just another client. My son loves going to swim and cries when it's time to leave. Ms. Emily and her team have built a solid swim foundation for my son. I no longer have a fear when he is around water. I know that he is a strong swimmer and knows his survival skills to safely get out. I love watching him grow in his confidence and swimming abilities.

He had taken swim lessons before as an infant but we are starting back up at 7 years old. I feel this is an incredible value, 30 minutes weekly is ample time for my son and others in the area are just 20 minutes. His teacher Michelle is amazing! She's very caring and makes the pool even more fun for the students. They really are team oriented and you can see managers or other staff jumping in to help instruct, if needed. The facility is very clean and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Last week it was raining and the woman at the front desk was even escorting families without umbrellas to and from their cars. Come on now! That's some great service! The changing rooms, pool area, restrooms, and waiting area are all clean and comfortable spaces.

Then we needed to call out because she was sick.  The staff told us that a makeup class would be an extra $5 charge.  We disagreed with this because it encourages parents to bring in sick children during a pandemic so they can avoid paying any money extra than the money they paid initially for the package. My wife called and talked to the school, and then also emailed a manager to see if there was anything they could do to waive the fee.  Neither call was productive, they informed us that that's how their business model works, but they still expect parents to keep their children home if they're not feeling well.   Initially when we signed up we were told there was a $30 military discount that was supposed to waive the application fee.  They charged us for this anyway... and we didn't catch it until we saw it was taken out.  When we had asked them about this, they said that they will still have to charge us a transaction fee of $11 to send the money back to us. Even though it was their mistake. So we never really got a military discount. Even though we were promised it. The lessons are 30 minutes a piece, and they are divided up on how many children happen to be with that teacher, up to three. Which would indicate that the child receives between 15 minutes and 10 minutes of Hands-On instruction during each lesson. To summarize..   -They promised us a discount we never got... -Charged us for a make up lesson when we kept our daughter home sick. -$382 / 18 lessons equals $21.22 per lesson, covering 10 to 15 minutes of Hands-On instruction. Overall, terrible value for the money and an inflexible company that uses poor business model puting children's safety and health at higher risk. also. There's a sign posted in the school that says "if you are not satisfied with today's lesson another will be provided for free" then why do they keep trying to charge us more money? Review edited to take off one star. After seeing emler's response. They stated that they would give us a military discount and then they changed the business arrangement once they had our money. Their review does not apologize, or try to resolve any issue. When discussing the $5 penalty for rescheduling a class. They claim that they do it to maintain "schedule integrity". Their integrity is worth $5? There is a pandemic happening and we are talking about the safety and health of our kids.

I think his swim instructor, Zach, is wonderful with children. I pay $70 a month for four 30 minute group swim lessons. Only once was my son paired with another child for a swim lesson. The other three times we got a private 20 minute lesson for the price of a group lesson because there weren't any other children signed up in that time slot. There is also an annual family registration fee for $35 I believe. They sell goggles, caps, kick boards, towels and suits for a great price. I could find them cheaper anywhere else. All the other swim lesson places charge more than twice as much as Sea Sports and I can't imagine better service.

My four-year-old with few skills was able to swim across the pool on her own today after only four lessons. All the other parents I've talked to there are equally happy about the instruction.
