The photos will not be covered by the $500 credit. I was told I won a "$1040 valued" Boudoir photoshoot with a $500 credit to "spend on stunning photos". They wanted a $200 deposit that I was told would be refunded if I didn't do the hair and makeup. I opted out of the hair and makeup, made the deposit, and upon my arrival was told repeatedly I did choose for the hair and make up to be done. I knew I didn't, but went ahead anyways given the cosmetologist was already there, and I wanted to look my best--even though I came with hair and makeup up done. I am also a cosmetologist, and she essentially did exactly what I had on just amped a micro amount. I had make up in my bag ready to enhance whatever I needed enhanced. We got to the photoshoot portion, and this was actually a pleasant experience. She did make me feel comfortable, I'll give her that. But after the shoot, we went to go look at the photos. I noticed a price book, but didn't think about it too hard given I had a $500 credit. That's at least one print, yeah? Haha! No. The lowest available option was digital photos for $2000 before my discount!! And they added the $200 from their mistake on my deposit, so even with my $700 credit, that is $1300 (over $1500 through my year long payment plan with interest) for 12 DIGITAL PHOTOS!!! But as it was explained, the more you photos, the cheaper it is. Mind you, I was never told a dollar amount. I left bawling as i expected to pay nothing, as that's what I was told and that's what everything hinted to. Every email and conversation was so misleading and vague and I feel absolutely cheated. I received the photos finally, and as far as I can tell (I used to be into editing photos as we all did in 2016) there is minimal editing to these photos and very loud and easily fixed details that were missed. (ex:I wore a tight bra for a bit and when I changed outfits, I had a faint line from the previous bra and it was not even edited a little) The before and after photos she showed me from other shoots were tastefully, but heavily edited to provide the perfect shot. The only things really edited in my photos were things in the background that showed the set up and such. I am severely disappointed and dissatisfied. I feel like I won nothing but more debt and some poorly edited photos along with a disheartening experience. Do NOT accept the "won experience" from here. Doing the math, I only won $395 worth of anything because, per their website under pricing " The photo shoot experience starts at $395 for regular pricing. That includes the photo shoot, professional makeup application, picture retouching, and the in-person photo viewing for you to order photo products." adding that to my $500 credit, that's only $895. They wanted to say they prepared me for this with the calls and emails, but all they did was gaslight and lie. They gave me 3 free photos after trying to say I don't want the photos to try and keep me from not purchasing them. There is nothing on their site about minimum purchase, nor did I sign anything, but they just "don't do cancellations " even tho she could've canceled the payment through affirm, deleted the photos and been done with it. She refused even though i explained I am broke as shit, told this was a free experience other than the deposit, and didn't expect to pay anything that day. This place is for people who grew up with a pool and and ocean side view with daddies money in their pocket, not for a gal trying to up her confidence and have a fun, new experience she was told that she won.

When I was introduced to Michelle, I was 1-year postpartum with my first baby and not feeling like…read moremyself, let alone beautiful. She challenged me to have my portrait taken. Even though I dreamed of having that experience, I felt hesitant and compared myself to other more beautiful woman, questioning if it was right for me. I had a new body, and not necessarily one I loved. She reassured me that her team would give me a much-needed day of pampering and promised to create the most beautiful photographs I have ever seen of myself. Michelle delivered on that promise. One portrait is now hanging as a center-piece on our wall and my baby will grow up looking at it every day. When I've aged or even passed, he will cherish that portrait and remember the version of his mom he loves most, the version who was young, vibrant and confident. That alone is worth the experience. I also get to look at that portrait everyday and remember to love myself. It reminds me to value myself as a woman, as a wife, as a mother and as a small business owner. I get to admire and envy my own portraits everyday, and that is everything. Aside from her amazing talent as an artist, she is also an amazing person. I can't say enough good things about Michelle. Finally, when we were able to see the proofs she had, we were extremely disappointed, sadly was only able to pick but a few favorites. She kept repeating to us now remember these aren't touched up, that it just seemed very odd and unprofessional. Not to mention, I wanted photos of us to look more natural, not all filtered. My make up was lighter than my neck. Would've been nice for my face to match my neck at least. But via Zoom call on the computer thumbing through. They just looked horrible. It rained that day so when we were outside doing the so-called garden shoot in the rain. Ugh along with a large deposit to which didn't receive any of it back or any photos. She and I had several text back-and-forth on my end goal to work something out. I had only picked four or five pictures asked her for a smaller package. She said that is not something that's available. They were extremely expensive packages i wish i would've checked that out before I even made an appointment. Definitely not worth it so disappointed when I saw the pictures. My daughter actually didn't want any of them, so I was left to try to figure out which ones I would even consider purchasing in a package. She didn't offer smaller packages apparently. After like I said several text messages back-and-forth. She said if I didn't pay on September 1, if I remember correctly, like $1600 for a package my file would be deleted. Dorothy Sammons is the most amazing photographer! I would highly recommend her to any one for any…read moreoccasion! We used her for our wedding and she amazed not only us, but everyone at our event! The bridal session photos were fantastic! We did photos with just us in our wedding attire at Texas Rangers Ballpark in the stands, on the field, and in the dugout and we LOVE them! She and her assistants did the traditional "formal" pics you expect to take at a wedding...but also did photos that incorporated our unique, silly personalities! She and her team stayed through our entire event...which included a Texas Ranger Baseball game and took photos of all our guests enjoying the festivities. Many of our friends referred to them as our "paparazzi"! Dorothy took the time to get to know us and our personalities so that our photos are a true representation of who we are. We were beyond thrilled to hire them just from our initial phone convo. They are both so outgoing and so thrilled to be part of your day! We hired Hey Love Studio as a guest photographer at our wedding (we had already hired a wedding photographer). As a guest photographer, Valerie (and a second shooter, since she had to travel for our wedding) was dedicated to capturing guest portraits (couples, families, etc.) and guests mingling. (professional portraits in lieu of crappy photo booth pics with the couple's names and date stamped all over it). She knew the "assignment," let us (the couple) do our thing, and she forking nailed it! We received our gallery about a week and a half later, and it brought us so much joy to look through and see just how beautiful our guests looked! When they say your wedding day flies by, they are not kidding - so we are that much more grateful to have these photos to forever remember how beautiful every single guest looked! Our guests will receive a printed copy (as their "thank you" card) in the mail, along with a QR code to our full gallery so that they can download a digital copy. Bonus: my bridesmaids jumped on this and also hired Valerie to shoot our Rehearsal Dinner as a surprise to us.
