As a veteran network news producer who has worked with many photographers and videographers over the decades, I was immediately impressed by the level of forethought she brought to the job. So much of great photography is in the preparation. About 75% of the work happens before you ever press the shutter. Execution becomes the easy part when you have real talent, and Atali has both. She planned her coverage with intention, strategically positioning herself throughout the event. She seemed to be everywhere at once, and her engagement with attendees was consistently professional and warm. Attention to detail is rare in a fluid environment, especially when the rundown shifts on the fly. She kept everyone looking their best during group photos, to the point where you might have thought she was the stylist or the publicist. When I later saw the final images on social media and the event website, everything I had observed that day was confirmed: Atali is skilled, reliable, and genuinely passionate about her craft and her clients. I still work in television and have since referred media networks and individual colleagues to her every time I'm asked for a photographer recommendation in DFW (for headshots, events, and branding). In entertainment, media, public relations, and advertising, your reputation is everything, and Atali has earned an excellent one. During that call, a "questionnaire" was briefly mentioned as a planning tool to help organize the shoot -- it was described as something that could help her plan with ideas like making a theme with a memorable item like a bulldog, color palettes or set ideas.i explained to her I just want minimalistic white background, in a few of my business outfits navy, white and black and one scene sitting at a desk. No cutesy themes. After payment was made, I received a lengthy questionnaire that included personal business questions about myself, my company, and my competitors. This requirement and level of detail were never disclosed prior to payment, and the questions felt unrelated to the simple, minimalist concept I had described (white background, desk scene, and outfit changes). When I expressed discomfort and asked to proceed with a simplified shoot, telling her these questions were a bit much and what more does she really need - my email was ignored and the session was canceled with only a few days notice. She then attempted to retain $300 of my payment for "lost studio time" meanwhile not taking accountability for not disclosing that this questionnaire was mandatory prior to taking payment, and not accounting for only telling me it was mandatory with cancelling on me 3 days before the shoot. I also lost a full day of work that had been set aside for the shoot as well as lost money on items such as clothing had bought and rented for the shoot. Additionally, the tone of communication became condescending, and she made personal attacks about my character that I "don't follow instructions " and am "entitled," which I found unnecessary and unprofessional as it shifts from discussing business terms to judging character, which is never acceptable in a client-provider relationship. Although a refund was eventually issued, it was only offered because I pointed out she had no legal grounds to withhold any of my money and it was her decision to cancel on me. the experience left me feeling disrespected and misled about the requirements and communication style. I hope future clients are given full transparency about all pre-session obligations and are treated with professionalism throughout the process.

I quickly sent the photographer proof of my payment and he quickly apologizes in an email (see attached), but not before sending my agent another email. Photos were not great, session seemed rushed, lots of hidden costs that made it seem like a shell game. All I wanted was a simple shoot, but got all this stress. No email or VM or Letter asking me about payment, just straight to requests of payment and threatened legal action. Talent/agent relationships can be delicate, and the fact that my agent was involved in all this unnecessary drama based on his oversight is what prompted me to write this review.

The bridal session photos were fantastic! We did photos with just us in our wedding attire at Texas Rangers Ballpark in the stands, on the field, and in the dugout and we LOVE them! She and her assistants did the traditional "formal" pics you expect to take at a wedding...but also did photos that incorporated our unique, silly personalities! She and her team stayed through our entire event...which included a Texas Ranger Baseball game and took photos of all our guests enjoying the festivities. Are guys really into that? Anyways, I quickly moved on to the next photographer on the list and immediately, I hit gold! Catherine Cooper's images more than peaked my interest. Her pictures told a story--as if you were watching a thriller with a crazy plot twist, and you're dying to know how it ended. I was so enthralled with her website and photos, I quickly scheduled a consultation with her. Cathy's punctuality and professionalism is what prompted me to schedule a photography session. She was so down to earth, pleasant, and impressively organized. She walked me step by step on how to prepare for my session as well as what clothes and hairstyles would work best for me. She wasn't pushy when it came to purchasing photo package upgrades and she didn't treat me like I was "just another client." She personalized my photo session with concentration on certain parts of my body that I wanted to showcase more than others. After initially leaving a raving review she did not send me the picture she's stated she would send (in email). She also emailed my friend (whom gifted me the shoot). That she was requiring a $1000 by a set deadline before she would even edit my photos. I've never felt so judged in my life. This was not a "requirement" that was stated in the initial consultation with my friend prior to the shoot. I was not about to spend $1000 on pictures I had not seen. I am aware of the time Photography takes and how expensive it can be. This was not my issue at all. I do have a job and I do splurge on myself. One question she asked prior to my leaving is what were some initial fears I had. I mentioned to her that I am also a photographer (not professionally) and I am VERY PICKY about photography and I initially had a difficult time releasing all control to her. If you choose to use her be sure you are clear on ALL of the requirements. There are several Boudoir Photographers in this area. Do your research prior. I will be taking my money elsewhere.

I…read morewoke up in the morning super anxious and nervous for what was about to take place, not even 5 minutes later (I swear she was reading my mind), I get a text about the day and how she was going to be with me every step of the way. I arrived a little early, disheveled and not prepared (hair a mess and makeup not done) and she was so patient with me as I prepped myself for the shoot. Getting in and out of the wardrobes was easy, she guided me with every pose and she even took the pressure off by having great music and of course her awesome dance moves. She made me feel incredibly comfortable--which is hard to do when you're half naked in front of a stranger! But Erin is such a professional and never made things awkward. She knows exactly how to pose you to make you look sexy and hide all the areas you might be a little self-conscious about.
