After recently selling my 2019 KTM 500 EXC, I was looking for a new street-legal dirt bike and decided on a 2026 Beta 390 RS Special Edition. I'll start by saying that in the past, I had never purchased a motorcycle from Ken & Joe's Powersports because their pricing was typically higher than competing dealers. This time around, however, they came extremely close to the best price match I could find on the Beta. Since K&J is also my local Santa Clarita powersports dealer, I decided to give them my business and an opportunity to earn my future Parts and Service business as well. Sales: The purchase process was extremely quick and straightforward. There was zero pressure and no unnecessary upselling, which I really appreciated. Everything was handled quickly and to the point. The sales staff could probably be a little more personable or talkative, but that is a very minor observation and certainly nothing negative about the transaction. Most importantly, they stayed more than an hour after closing to finish my purchase, which I greatly appreciated. Parts: My experience with the Parts Department has been excellent. The woman working Parts is incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely a pleasure to talk with every time I visit. Communication has also been top-notch. Whenever I have ordered parts, they have kept me updated and contacted me promptly when everything arrived. I did have one issue when a non-Parts employee answered the phone and told me an exhaust would be ordered for me. Several days later, I happened to discover that it was never ordered, and nobody had contacted me to let me know there was an issue. I was also told they couldn't get the exhaust, which ultimately turned out not to be the case because I was able to have it shipped directly to me through Beta. That was frustrating, but it appears to have been an isolated communication issue rather than representative of my overall experience with their Parts Department. Service: Service has also been outstanding. They have been quick, straightforward, and reasonably priced. Most importantly, they have gotten the work completed without unnecessarily holding onto my motorcycles. That's something I really value because I don't want a bike sitting at a dealership for days when the work can be completed much sooner. Overall, I have been very pleased with Ken & Joe's Powersports. Between purchasing the Beta, ordering parts, and having service performed, they have earned my business. As long as they continue to remain competitive with their pricing and maintain this level of Parts and Service support, I will continue to be a K&J customer.

1-Star Review I…read morebought a 2015 Harley-Davidson FXDB Street Bob at the beginning of summer and brought it to Ken & Joe's Motorcycle Shop because I wanted to make sure the bike was properly serviced and inspected and there was a battery issue. I paid around $1,500 for a three-hole service, inspection, and a new tire. The shop had my bike for approximately 2 1/2 weeks, and I was told most of the delay was because they were waiting for my tire. About a week after getting the bike back, my clutch cable broke. I contacted the shop and was told that it wasn't something they could have predicted during the inspection. I understand that unexpected parts can fail, but I ended up bringing the bike back and waiting another three weeks for the clutch cable to be replaced, which cost me another $490. I finally got my bike back last week. After only three days of riding, the bike completely shut off while I was riding and now has another issue that needs to be diagnosed. I'm not saying Ken & Joe's caused these problems. It's an older motorcycle, and mechanical issues can happen. However, after spending nearly $2,000 with this shop and having the bike there for more than five weeks combined, it's extremely frustrating to continue having problem after problem--especially after paying for an inspection and service. I bought this bike at the beginning of summer specifically so I could enjoy riding it. Instead, between the time spent in the shop and the mechanical problems, I've only been able to ride it for about three weeks this entire summer. Based on my experience, I personally would not recommend this shop. From this point forward, I'll be taking my bike directly to a Harley-Davidson dealership for service and repairs.

THOUSANDS in unecessary 'added options'! We did end up buying my mom a Honda CR-V two weeks ago, after having all the 'add ons' removed. The only reason I bought was because Lauren, the sales person was the absolute kindest, sweetest and knowledge person. She had the AC turned on the car in advance for us as my mom is older and it was hot out that day. Although I negotiated out paying for add ons, the sales manager had told me the ceramic coating was already on there so he would be 'eating the cost'. 1 day after getting home, my mom had a chip on her bumper. I kindly asked for information about the cermamic coating because I was surprised it chipped just driving around town in Palmdale. They were immediately defensive and said 'we don't have to provide you anything for a product you didnt pay for'. Regardless of whether I paid for it, it was still supposedly on the vehicle. They refused to supply info or evidence showing it was on there and immediately became rude and said ceramic coating is only for water spots and bird poop. You know what, okay, if thats true, save yourself $1k for a lousy product. The defensiveness and overall response could have been more courteous. Perhaps because we already signed the papers, they were no longer interested in being kind. I was not asking for them to fix it or anything, I was just curious. That being said, Lauren was great. She even drove my moms new car to her house. So im very thankful for her, but just be very aware of bloated add ons and overall courtesy of management at this dealership. Had i not gone with my senior citizen mom, they would have scammed her out of thousands on add ons. I do have complete documentation of the add on pricing and misleading approach, as well as text conversations regarding the ceramic coating and thier refusal to provide product information or warranty. They said they put it on all thier cars, so don't pay for it, its definitely not worth the cost.

Followed the typical buying conversations (Down payment, interest rates, finance, etc). Worked with Mario in Finance for the final stages of the purchase. In general the experience was solid, yet still pushy in some instances but that's expected in any dealer car purchase. The only feedback I could think of was focused on minimizing the time spent in the physical dealership. Especially after already deciding on the purchase and driving from 50+ miles away. Total time spent onsite was roughly 2.5 hours, which i thought was on the excessive side. I understand they want to be in front of potential buyers, but in an increasingly online world folks will want that flexibility.
