Golden State responded quickly to our inquiry and maintained excellent communication from the very beginning and throughout the entire process. Jose came out to provide the estimate and clearly explained everything, making the process easy to understand. Jose and his brother did an excellent job. They took the time to properly prepare the work area, and it showed in the quality of their work. Our water heater tank is installed on the floor, and they were still able to carefully cover and paint around the area without any issues. The job was clean, professional, and the results exceeded our expectations. We are very pleased and highly recommend their services! read more

I knew I wanted to hire Golden State Coatings after seeing the amazing job they did on my neighbor's garage. Seeing their work in person made the decision easy, and they definitely delivered. Jose was responsive, answered all of my questions, and kept me updated throughout the project. I also liked that he and his cousin did the work themselves, so I knew the quality would be consistent. The garage turned out even better than I expected. The floor looks amazing, the attention to detail was excellent, and everything was left clean when they finished. I chose the Stargaze flakes because I'm converting my garage into a living space with a kitchenette, and it was the perfect choice. If you want quality work from someone who truly stands behind it, Jose is your guy. Worth every penny. Highly recommend! read more

We couldn't be happier with our garage floor from Golden State Coatings. Choosing a company was actually harder than we expected. I contacted several companies for quotes, and because we hadn't taken possession of the house yet, getting an accurate estimate wasn't easy. Most conversations felt pretty transactional--here's a rough price per square foot and approximately what it'll cost. Jose was completely different. From our first conversation, he was incredibly kind and took the time to thoroughly explain his process, the materials he uses, and what he recommended based on what I wanted. Before I had even hired him, he made time to meet me at our old house, show me samples in person, and walk me through all of the options. Once we got the keys to the new house, he was prepared and ready to go. The job also turned out to be much more difficult than expected. Once Jose and his brother started grinding, they discovered areas of soft, loose concrete underneath. Instead of taking a shortcut and coating over it, they put in the extra work to hand-grind the floor until they reached solid concrete. They also added additional material because of the concrete issue at no extra charge, completed the moisture barrier and full flake system, and did the two top coats I requested. The finished floor looks incredible. Jose and his brother were extremely professional throughout the entire process. What stood out most was that Jose took the time to earn our business before we ever hired him, listened to what we wanted, and then followed through when the job became more difficult than anyone anticipated. We absolutely recommend Golden State Coatings--they take pride in their work, don't cut corners, and genuinely care about the finished product and their customers. read more

This review is long overdue (sorry Jose!!! I did not forget!) - I reached out to Jose last July for a quote to get our garage floors done and he responded immediately and we chatted on the phone to schedule time for him to come out. When I met him in person, he was extremely honest, personable, and knowledgeable. So much so that even before he did the work, I referred him to my brother in law immediately after I got my quote from him. When the day came for the work to be done, Jose and his brother Josiah worked tirelessly for two days to get my garage looking great. The quality and caliber of work was top notch and I have consistently been recommending him to my friends. Not only that, but Jose is amazing - I really appreciate and acknowledge how above and beyond he goes for his customers. Not long after our floors were done, we had a contract damage it - I reached out to Jose and he came over to do a patch job to fix it. THANK YOU SO MUCH. That made a huge impression on me and showed the caliber of his business. He takes it seriously and cares about you. Lastly, I think sometime on Christmas he dropped off a little gift set which I thought was extremely sweet and thoughtful and shows again, how much he invests into his business and his clients. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Cannot speak highly enough about Jose and Lion King Epoxy Coatings. Don't even think twice, hire him and your floors will not only look great, but last (they have not chipped and look as great as the day they were finished a year ago). read more

IG first sent me an ad about this business and I was already going with another company. However I reached out to compare prices and these guys came out to educate me on the process. Plus they talked about the quality of their US made products they use. Ultimately, they were a little bit more expensive but they came with a multi-year warranty. They were on time and had great communication. The project took 3 days and it was not rushed. Highly recommend this team and will use them again for future projects when it comes to finishing floors. read more
