We had a really good lunch here. Portions were large so we had the leftovers for dinner, too. The restaurant is conveniently located at the corner of the shopping center. There was ample free parking right outside their doors. Inside, it is bright and clean. You order at one end of the counter where all the food is displayed. The menu is on the wall. We both chose their "small" brown stew chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. I always request a bit of extra gravy on top of the rice. The food is served in take out containers. And they were doing a lot of take out orders while we were there. But we chose to dine in. The chicken was tender. It's a bit messy to eat, but delicious with the brown gravy. The gravy had a slight kick. The rice and peas were able to sop up some of the gravy. The cabbage/veggies were mild. The plantains were sweet. As I said before, the portion was so large --even though it was the small size -- that we each had enough for another meal. This was my first time visiting a Golden Krust location, and I must say, it was a great experience. My family and I were recently in West Palm Beach and decided to stop by for lunch. Right away, when you walk into this location, the first thing you'll notice is how clean and well-organized the dining area is. The tables and chairs were spotless, and everything was neatly arranged. The garbage bins were tucked off to the side, away from the food buffet line and seating area, which I appreciated. There's a glass divider separating the customers from the food and the staff behind the counter. The food area was clean, no spills or messes anywhere. I also appreciated that each dish had its own serving utensil, no utensils were shared between different dishes, which is a huge plus. Since it was all of our first time there, we ordered a variety of dishes to try. We had the curry goat, and we also got the oxtail, jerk chicken, and bbq ribs. Each dish came with a choice of plain rice, peas and rice, seasoned rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. My favorites were the curry goat and oxtails. The portions were generous, and they didn't skimp on either the rice or the protein. At first, I was a bit skeptical because I had heard mixed reviews, with some people saying the food wasn't authentic Jamaican. However, after trying it myself, I disagree. The chicken was moist, flavorful, and so succulent, it just fell off the bone. The yellow rice was cooked perfectly and made even more delicious with brown gravy smothered over it, and if this is what greens tasted like more often, I'd be eating veggies all day! I didn't place a delivery order to get a drink and a old, brick of a patty. I was so mad I called the restaurant and after questioning why someone didn't call, was lied to and told they called. The presentation can only be exhausted through the due diligence of the location, cleanliness, welcoming staff and most importantly a highly desirable Caribbean menu to select through a number of authentic dishes. Not only does this Golden Krust location have spectacular dishes that are to die for but their patties, bread and deserts are one of a kind. I've visited this location a few times but my, I must say my last visit required me to post a review. I went in yesterday for just 1 dinner meal but when I saw the new container of oxtail and freshly made Curry Goat I just had to order both. I ate the Oxtail dinner there supplied with an island fruit drink and I was ready to pass out due to how well the food was made and tasted. Satisfactory to say the least. I never felt so welcomed and appeased at any restaurant from what I can remember, especially during COVID times...
