I'm a big fan of Jennifer's work (hence the second star), but the lack of professionalism is very disappointing. In September, I was told that Jennifer planned to include my project in her books for sometime between Sept-Jan. I provided the details she asked for and patiently waited for more information about my appointment. After two months, not a peep - not even a "Hey, I haven't forgotten about you" message. My messages to her business email and Instagram have been ignored. At the time of this review, it has been three months since my initial contact with Jennifer, and I have to assume that my project will not be completed as originally suggested. I completely understand that times are difficult right now, but I don't think it's too difficult to keep potential clients updated and be honest about whether or not you can find time to fit them into your schedule. I really want to work with Jennifer and may take another shot at sending in my proposal, but this experience has really soured my opinion of the studio's professionalism.
EDIT: After posting this review (and copying it to FB), Jennifer sent me a very cold email in which she blamed me for this mess because she "never got a response about the appointment" and criticized me for disregarding her policy about Instagram DMs. I have proof that I went through her business email first - once in response to her original message in September, and again in November - and only resorted to Instagram when nothing else worked.
I don't understand how Jennifer expects her customers to get in touch with her when her business email fails, and I'm baffled by the decision to blame the client instead of working together to figure out a solution. I am dodging a bullet by choosing not to support this studio anymore.
Tl;dr: Business owner takes no responsibility and blames client; I have receipts that prove otherwise; -1 star read more
