I really didn't have much to look for or at, because I wasn't looking for anything and didn't know what I was looking at. But, the guy at the desk greeted me like he would any other comic book dork and I was enlivened. I perused the comics, marveled at the amazing artwork in some and checked out the models, which are probably a lot of fun to put together. The guy was tied up with another customer, but when they were done I knew he was going to come talk to me and I got all panicked. Lo and behold, he sauntered over and chippily said, "how's it going?" "I don't know what I'm doing, I'm just looking around. Huuyuuuh thanks!," I blubbered. He laughed and proceeded to say it was totally cool and to let him know if I needed help. He handled my dork meltdown well, which makes me think he probably deals with that a lot.

I was going away for a month a week later and when I went back in to ask about my headphones I was told they hadn't been collected yet so they gave me a brand new pair!! They were so helpful and I am so appreciative of all their efforts! As we walked by, we saw a sign that said, "Secret Book & Record Store", with an arrow pointing into a deep narrow hallway with posters of advertisements covering the walls. These places are the great finds in Dublin. At the end of the hall was a large room filled with used books, vintage vinyl & new releases including CDs. The store was a frezy of customers flipping through the bins of vinyl to find that one great band from their past. I did find a few old 80s punk albums but still on a quest today to find an original GBH or Exploited cover.

The Secret Book & Record Store is how you would make a shop of this type look like if you were making a film about a cool shopkeeper and the problems he has with his idiosyncratic love life (whoops, just checked IMDB and 'High Fidelity' has already been made. Ah pooh). If you have a particular book in mind and think you might go to SB&RS on the off-chance that they might have it: don't. This one is strictly for the rummagers, but a rummagers dream it certainly is, with piles of books stacked any oul' way. I don't go in for records much meself but they have them too. Tip-top shop.

I give this review a 3 star because I do enjoy going there but no more because of the condition the consoles/controllers are sold in. I and other people are paying money for a product and when you receive it you expect it to be in clean condition. I'm not saying it has to be immaculately clean but the consoles I received has dust, hair, grime and stains all over the controller and console.

I went in here last week for a browse, i actually had never been in this shop before and i dont…read moreknow why because i love a good deal on a DVD, how had the cheap DVD's in here not caught my attention? Anyway, i picked up a few things and was wowed by the prices on he covers, some of these films wee fairly new to DVD! then i decided to look inside the box to make sure that the DVD was actually in there and they were not just selling the box or some mad scam like that, nope, the DVD was in side but it looked like the last person to touch the DVD had just taken their hand out of a pot of jam or something. how had that happened? then i saw the sign on the wall, one with teeny tiny writing on he bottom. it explained that all the stock in the shop was second hand stock or stock that had previously been rental stock or display stock and thats why the prices were so cheap. On top of that there were no guarantees on you purhase either so you couldnt return a DVD that didnt work (possibly due to jam smears!). So basicallyl this shop is like a big game of VD lottery, you migh be lucky enough o bag one tha works for your three euro! like buying a scratch card maybe but in this case you were looking for something without the scratches! I didnt have time to open and close all my boxes and examine each CD so i left, this might be a good place if your looking for a deal and you have time, i just wasnt for me unfortunatly!

Put three screens into my xperia z 3, all which broke again in a week for no apparent reason. in…read morethe process of doing this they managed to break the speaker, microphone, the signal component, all the internal clips for holding the phone together and done a complete botch job on the 4th and final screen they put in...... So in short a perfectly good, well looked after phone which needed a screen repair cost me 500euro and ended up worse than it was when it went in,and I ended up having to sell the phone for parts. PS they also left dead pixels all over my partners iPhone and smashed the screen on my cousins one.
