Louca's isn't too pricey compared to other eateries and the platters are decadent. The seafood here isn't fancy, its just great produce cooked simply in a nice setting. Good for a few mates who want to do something fancier than fish and chips at the pup or from the takeaway.

The prawns were a bit tough but had a nice charcoal grilled flavour and the salt and pepper squid came in huge slices that were very well seasoned and succulent. The highlight of the menu was the tomato broth mussels. A huge pot came out and we proceeded to suck all the juices and meat from each well cooked shell. All meals were perfect for sharing and it was all complemented well by a simple SA wine list. The service was nice, but a little busy at the time and overall we were impressed with the cost of our meal for the quality of the dishes - good seafood ain't cheap people! On a side note, I don't quite understand why all seafood restaurants look the same - white tiles, white tables, white kitchen/bar? As Neale Whittaker from The Block would put it - "it feels 90s and dated." I look forward to the day when someone in Adelaide does it a little differently.

I love oysters, but I have to say that Metro Oyster Bar did not meet my expectations. For some reason, their oysters were really salty-- far too salty for my liking, which may have been what they were going for, but I was not a fan. One of the waiters seemed quite reluctant to serve us, like he hated his job, but the other one was friendly, attentive, and joked around with us quite a bit. I quite enjoyed her as our server. There isn't much more I can say about this place other than how I felt it was completely average. The prices were a little on the higher end (which is, of course, to be expected), the servers are 50/50 (you may get one who hates their job and seems reluctant to serve you, but you also may get one who loves interacting with people), and the food is pretty average. Overall, I wouldn't complain about this place, but I don't know if I would recommend it.

The crab meat was like a paste. I was embarrassed to have started serving them. 3 of them were opened and discarded, the rest were put in the freezer to be returned. Upon returning to Samtass to ask for a refund, they would only refund the weight of the remaining crabs instead of refunding the amount shown on the receipt. They then told me to call the office to speak to Tony, the manager, which I did. I left a message with the office for Tony to call back and have received no response. I now regret spending over $1k with them this Christmas and will be taking my business elsewhere and sharing this experience with others.
