We had arrived to eat shortly after 9:00Pm. The 5'7 white young male asked if it will be carry out or dine in and we told him we will stay to eat. We placed our orders, pay and etc. we sat down and waited for a good 10-15 minutes for our meals. The guy called our name and as we approached to get the food he had our meals in the bag to go and told us they were closing and need to leave so he can sweep and mop the floor. I looked my at watch to see what time it was and it was only 9:30pm. Told him they are not closed til 10:00Pm. So we stayed and ate our meal as planned. Instead of respecting us and our space while we were eating, he had to come up to our table and swept around our feet, chair and the table. That is very rude and disrespectful. We have been there few time about the same time and never been treated rude and disrespectful til tonight. read more

12/16/22: On a Friday evening, around 10:12 pm, I pulled up to the store and the door was locked. I figured that the dining room was closed, so I drove to the drive thru window. The sign on the drive thru window stated that it was open until 11pm. An African American lady was cleaning or something, and I tried to get her attention. She yelled through the closed window that the store was closed, and that they closed at 10pm. I tried to tell her that the sign on the drive thru window stated that they closed at 11pm. She then held 10 fingers up and kept saying "we close at 10". To the franchisee: the signage on the doors and windows need to be updated to reflect actual hours of operation, to avoid customer dissatisfaction because it appears that there is no consistency in when this location actually closes. read more

So I ordered the Wicked Wing Bundle and was being assisted by this young man and then this young lady named Argelia B came up from the drive thru with her headset on which was weird. I was charged for the zing sauce and never had that happened when I ordered a wing combo. In addition, other things were over explained vs my actual order that I was placing. I'm a civil servant who frequents this location often through the drive through but, I came inside. I am very disappointed that the communication was lacking and her nonchalant demeanor did not aide it. I did email the customer service address however, no feedback had been returned. I will not be a patron again. While I was placing this review she utilized expletives read more

Interrupting the cashier at the window who was on the phone was first mistake. Asking which tea was sweet and unsweet was the second mistake. I couldn't believe the cashier had the audacity to say "I don't know; you will have to figure that out yourself." When asked where are the corn nuggets she broke away from her phone to say "You'll have to pick them up in the front." Slow line, lacking any sort of professionalism and most definitely poor customer service! NEVER AGAIN! read more

Unbelievable! I don't know where they are getting their chickens from. I've always ordered tenders here since it's so close to my house. The tenders are ok. Tonight I decided to get the one piece leg kid's meal and the chicken drumstick was ridiculously tiny! Not exaggerating! See pic.. one bite that's all it took to eat this drumstick!! read more

Horrible customer service. Young black woman taking the orders has no interpersonal skills whatsoever and was rude and disrespectful. Waited 15 minutes for a two piece. Complained to the manager and he sucked too . Wow, what kind of ass backward business are you running here? read more

Extremely rude assistant manager/supervisor. Long story short I called a few days before today and I was told to come back at my earliest convenience to receive a replacement order. This woman spent a total of like 45 seconds to try to figure this out and then shut the drive through window right in my face while I was still speaking. I should've assumed her customer service was awful with how she was while I was ordering the food i.e randomly laughing with coworkers. read more

No lemons for the southern cat fish, no drinks, I've work in fast food when I was younger and I know how it works. The customer comes first. They only had PEPSI nothing else. They didn't want to make a new batch of sweet tea and told me that they can't do anything about it when clearly they can that's the most reason why people go to golden chick. It's disappointing how much bad ratings this location has. They always forget the bread also it's happened to me 5 times so Check your food guys!!!!! read more

I was so excited to get a Fletcher's corny dog. $5 and a 20 minute wait in the drive thru for this burnt, hard as a rock disgusting corny dog!! I asked for mustard, Nope didn't get that! There was no way I could eat this! I tried calling twice to give them a chance before I slammed them, but no answer! I've always loved Fletcher's , I don't think it's their fault in anyway, they may of picked the wrong place to team up with. So disappointed!! read more

This place is like an abusive relationship. We keep going back for a beating. Orders are always wrong & wait is always at least 15min. I keep going back because the little ones want the tenders. Today, drinks were given in small cups (maybe because they were out of large), & they were out of macaroni & cheese & sweet tea. I ordered a 6pc tender & got 4pcs. I hate this place. Had to tell the kids that we can no longer got here. read more

Bought a family meal at this Golden chick here in Garland, they had zero customers, but myself and I purchased a family meal through the drive thru lane. I asked them if they could add on some churros, the young lady at the window said that she was unable to do add-ons and I would have to go around the building and place another order through the drive-through because her system was set up some way and she was told by the manager that they had to do that. I asked her to please call the manager and this lady came by and I asked her if that was true and she answered yes you'll have to go back around and I said there's nobody in the drive-through, you want me to go around and place another order, that is the most preposterous thing ever this establishment has horrible reviews for one reason, very bad management, it is not the employees, it's the incapable manager they have, I do not even think you can call her a manager because a manager manages and leads, and this lady is no leader. read more

Worst service ever always. They're employees are not trained or either they just hire some real slow people. Takes forever to get food. I've given them too many chances, I'm done!!! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. read more

I just left the store on Lavon Hwy in Garland Tex. My review is about the customer service I received. A Spanish lady approached me in a VERY aggressive manner. I was very offended. I am disabled and 70 yrs old. She was either mad cause she had to wait on me or that she hated her job. I requested another person to help me which was a pleasant experience. Not sure I will return to this place. I live on social security eating out is a luxury for folks like me I live on a limited income. I would at least want a pleasant employee to wait on me. What happened to superior customer service? read more

This has to be the slowest Golden chick I've ever been to spend my whole lunch in the drive-through they don't deserve one star.

Worst customer service experience EVER at location 2702 Lavon. I did not check my order before leaving Golden Chick. Called to talk to the manager. He was extremely rude...in fact he hung up on me. I drove back there, requested and received a refund. I have given this location too many chances to get it right. I promise they will NEVER be bothered with me or my money again. Good riddance. read more

Finally good service good food! I quit going here for awhile but been here twice in 2 weeks and its on point! Love it!

Ordered two family sized mashed potatoes, they were both half full. Ordered half a dozen rolls and they were stale. No straws for my two large drinks, and no plastic ware or napkins. Pretty disappointing visit. read more

I was so thrilled when Golden Chick came into my neighborhood. The other locations around town have always had good food and good service. But this location has turned out to be a big disappointment. The drive-through was extremely slow when they first opened, which is somewhat understandable. However in the year or so that they have been open, their drive-through remains slow not just slow, ridiculously slow. Today's visit was no different. After sitting in the drive-through a few minutes, I turned on my stopwatch to time how long it would take to leave. It was 18 1/2 minutes before I left with my food. There were only four, maybe five cars ahead of me and one of those people pulled out of line and left. After waiting 20 minutes to get my food, the order was not correct. The drink and the chicken both were ncorrect. Something really needs to change before this place goes out of business. How can they sustain a business they can only wait on for people at the drive-through in 20 minutes? UPDATE-Another visit. This place has the best tasting chicken of all the Golden Chicks I have been to. I guess that's why I keep coming back. Today the service in the drive-through line was very quick. Crummy weather may have been a factor. Order was correct and gentlemen at the drive-through window was very courteous. However, I have to say this is probably the most pathetic piece of chicken I have ever received anywhere. (Thigh) It was so tiny. Look at the roll compared to the chicken thigh. LOL. The roll was amazing and melted in my mouth. I ate it on the way home. When I got home I dug out my food scales and weighed the chicken before eating. It was a big whopping 3.1 oz. After eating I weighed my bones. I got 2 1/2 oz of chicken. It was delicious but really? Was that the best piece you could pull out of your kitchen? I do have to give them credit though. Some chicken places will leave lots of skin and fat on the chicken. Then they over batter it and fry it and it ends up looking twice as big as what it really is. They did not do that. Most of that big whopping 3.1 oz was meat, But they were sure stingy with it. Some of the chicken places in the area will give you a second piece of chicken when they are very small. This place is improving. Hope it continues. Maybe they will learn to buy better chickens. read more

This has to be the WORST establishment I have ever ordered from. They are rude, unprofessional and simply just not very good at their jobs. I can't explain how many times I've come here and received horrible service from their immature employees. I eat golden chick all the time, in multiple cities, but after being hung up on, talked down to, and accused of lying about THEM forgetting the pieces of my order I just can't put myself through the stupidity anymore. Save your time, don't go to this golden chick because you'll end up leaving annoyed and with the wrong order... unless they hang up on you or stand there talking and not working in the window as the line surround the building. Also, I work in the restaurant industry. I'm a bartender, not a Karen, this place is literally just a joke. read more

From someone that has worked in the service industry, this has to be the worst customer experience I have ever had on top of racial injustice. To start, I was in line for 15 minutes when upon ordering chicken tenders, I was told it would be ten minutes ams to park in the curbside pickup. (Not that big if deal) Twenty minutes later, I walk inside to check on the status of my order. Was then ignored by cashier for 2 or 3 minutes to the be greeted with "what's up." I tell him I have been waiting for my chicken tender orders for 30 minutes now for him to tell they were frozen. I said, "why wouldn't you tell people that and tell me 10 minutes?" I then asked him how long it would be and he said he was about to drop them now but yet I see the other two coworkers just standing around. I called that out to him and he says "do you see how people we have" with an attitude and I told him "that is not problem and don't tell people ten minutes and then never update them as that is terrible customer service." He then mumbled a few things and stormed off. Chicken tenders were then finished and put under heat lamp as I waited an additional 20 minutes. In the meantime, an African American man came in and asked where his kids meals were that he was waiting on for 20 minutes. The guy that stormed off then greeted him immediately and had coworkers give him his food as I still that there. Another 5 minutes goes by where I finally ask the girl, "where is my food as that guy came in way after me." The cashier comes back and asks for my ticket while it then took them another five minutes to finally get my food to me. The lack of care and urgency with every single person working tonight was just appalling and all of them should be fired. I am one of the least confrontational people but this situation upset me to my core. One last thing to mention, they were out of straws, fried chicken was frozen, chicken tenders were frozen, and multiple people came into get refunds or just walked out because the wait was too long. This location has always been a little slow but today was by far the worst. This location has to be costing more money than the what it's worth based on this experience. Poor representation of your business. read more

Definitely agree with the other reviews about the wait times, it's absolutely ridiculous. Also I looooooove biting into a chicken sandwich and biting into a bone! Oh wait no need to worry, it was just a chicken wing in my sandwich. Sucks I live so close but won't be going back read more

Worst ever! I ordered 15 pieces and all of them smelled rotten. I ordered around lunch time and threw most of them away. Spoke to a "manager"... who was very rude and giggled about it. I'm not calling to ask for a refund or anything from you.. I'm calling to let you know so you can do the right thing and not serve rotten chicken to the next customer. I will never spend another dime here again. read more

Came here in the middle of a Sunday on my 1 hour lunch break. Not only did it take 30 minutes to receive my food because of the line ahead m, but also had to wait on my tenders, I rushed back to work to find I got a completely wrong order. Absolutely ruined my day, I expect a lot better. read more

This is a pretty mediocre Golden Chick. I usually love every Golden Chick because they're pretty notorious for giving you extra tenders when you order but this one wasn't so generous. My brother and I ordered a 6 tender combo for dine-in and they gave us 6 tenders but two of them looked like half tenders. We got a side of corn nuggets. The corn tasted stale and they were more batter than anything else. The yeast roll was delicious though! It was very light, buttery, and melted in my mouth. When you dine in, you get a free cone so this would be a fun place to bring your kids for dinner and ice cream. Unfortunately, their soft serve machine was not working. Good thing there's a Braum's next door! Also, the employees were yelling at each other from across the restaurant, which did not make for a fantastic dining experience. There's another Golden Chick off Buckingham and Jupiter and that ones better in my opinion. read more
