So we decided to get dinner for the family today at this location. Since I had tried the chicken tenders from the Rangers stadium' location I wanted to try this location. What a mistake it was! First of all we went today around 6:20 using the drive through. When we placed the order we could barely hear the server on the speaker. We told her we would approach. She seemed rushed and didn't want to listen when we told her our order. She was condescending when we asked for fresh fries and seemed bothered to even be working. We repeated our order multiple times, before paying. Then she proceeded to give us our 3 different drinks without telling us which one was which, and without marking them. Then she told us to park and wait for our food. She was upset the whole time. Our drinks were incorrect and I had to come inside for them to fix them. It took them 2 additional times to get my drinks correctly. Then, I proceeded to anxiously wait 30 more minutes for our 3 chicken tenders orders, while I saw people who came behind me in the drive though get their orders promptly. This owner needs to train the staff first, to be customer service friendly. If you work with customers you can't be rude, condescending or act bothered if you're at work. Also, taking 30 minutes to fulfill an order where I can literally see the food ready in front of me, it's truly unacceptable. Maybe they were having an off day, but when there are 5 people working, and only 1 person preparing the food, there's something seriously wrong. As for the food, it was good, but I don't know if I would come back to wait 30 minutes for it. I love me some golden chick but never going back to the Forney location. We ordered a 12 tender half and half. There was minimal amount of spice seasoning, could have passed as plain with no paper separating them for my little ones. Also ordered 2 pieces of roasted chicken that was so black and dry. I normally order from the mesquite location 100% better in mesquite. I would rate the Forney location a flat out 0 star but that's not an option. Never again ordering from Forney!!!!! read more

We took the fries and coleslaw but the coleslaw was the usual container only filled halfway which is only able to feed two people rather than a "family". We came inside to eat and they are understaff as we had to wait for someone to take our order. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich was that was their popular one with the coleslaw and drink. My wife got the coleslaw, fries and chicken and if you do not want a drink you can choose another side which was nice. The drink selection was cool they have the fancy Pepsi machine where you choose some of the drinks and they have sweet and lemonade which was nice. I went to this dump last night, and this cashier (April) threatened to call the police on me. I, being a black guy, took offense to her response to my speaking up after she had told me to speak up and repeat my order 4 times. I asked if she could hear me on the speaker because normally people say my voice carries. She then started making disrespectful comments when I told her I would make a customer complaint, which warranted me using a few choice words because I feel like she deserved it. If one can't understand plain English, they should not be working the drive-through. I have managed restaurants, and her behavior reflects poor management. After refusing to go to this location for almost a year, I thought I would give them another chance. Ugh...the very reason I hate drive-thru! You truly never know what you receive until you reach your destination. I ordered family pack tenders half spicy and half regular, family fries, family Okra. The regular tenders which were on top were fine, but under were the spicy and it looked as though the top fell off of the seasoning while pouring. This location seems clean. The location in Talty off of 20 is horrible, they served refried tenders and okra to us, and the sweet tea was gross. Decided to drive all the way to Forney, and although the cashier's attitude wasn't cute, (she made me feel like I was bothering her by coming to buy lunch here. Like uh you want annnnything else ) the food was pretty good. I decided to come again a few days later. Okra was a bit over done both visits, but the tenders were juicy and not dry compared to the location off of Davis St Mesquite. I really try to give golden chick a chance because I know they can do better. Try looking at the location on Bobtown/30, in Garland. The employees are polite, and they serve hot, tender chicken, and they don't over cook the okra. Not sure who likes to eat fried coal. read more

I recently went to golden chick and the young lady taking the order had an attitude from start to finish. From her asking me what i would like to order to the handing the bag out the window. Food is sub par i ordered a chicken salad sandwich and it looked like they just threw it in there,bun should have not been served it was over cooked. I will say this is some of the best fried chicken and catfish I have from a fast food place. Now after I say that I am sure you are wondering why I gave them such a low score. Well, while their food is good, they have the most inept staff I have ever seen. I have been 5 times now since they opened and have had an issue every visit. The first couple of visits I chalked up to them just opening and getting everyone up to speed, but for it to still be happening is just ridiculous.
