It's been a minute since, I've had Golden Chick. The last time I had it was so delicious! So, I was super excited about coming here! I ordered a two piece Chicken Strips with a side of Mashed Potatoes and a drink. Mashed potatoes were awful, bitter and flavorless? So, when an employee passed me by, I told him the situation. He said it probably does taste bad, it's been sitting there for a minute. He said, can I get you something else. He got me some Fries and they tasted good a lot better than the Mashed Potatoes but, they could have been a little more crispier. My Chicken Strips were crispy but, had an interesting taste I can't explain it? Well, thanks for listening Golden Chick and correcting the problem. You are much appreciated. Service here is in the dumps. Idk who they hire but no matter the time of day the service sucks. Orders consistently wrong, they will leave you at the drive thru to die, and if you drive around to the window to get acknowledged after being ignored at the call box they pretend everything is good. Like I've been waiting for an acknowledgment to order, screamed hello for 10min. Come in because order is wrong AFTER that and then the employees throw each other under the bus and talk trash back n forth to each other. Wish I could say it's all teens but every employee...adults too. Pulled up at the drive thru 9:30 as it says they close at 11pm, waited for a while before I said something and they said they were closed. The open sign was on and it clearly stated they close at 11pm. I've been here before at 10 and they served me. Went in to get a take out order. Beautiful decor, walls/ceiling inside! The guy taking the orders was super nice/friendly but maybe new as he was a little lost in putting orders in the register. He had to cancel the order and start all over again. Then still didnt work so had another employee help and even she couldnt get it done. They had to have the manager complete the order. I had to take a fried wing because they didnt have any roasted wings. My order was nearly $40. I ordered chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and green beans for my dad. The tenders were tough and he couldnt eat them, they put in frieds instead of mashed potatoes and the green beans were so over cooking/dark. terrible, not edible! My one roasted thigh and 1 fried wing was very good, the 6 shrimp were small and a bit dried out. I also got the chicken salad/salad and it was good, not sure it's worth $10. Oh they forgot to put tarter sauce in my bag, thankfully I still had some at home. May come back for the just the roasted or fried chicken and a salad, but absolutely NO tenders or horrible green beans! I waited in line at the drive through a very long time. I ordered the 3 strip dinner. The stripes were 2 to 2 1/2 inches long, more like nuggets. They did taste ok. The okra was so hard we couldn't eat it. I won't be back! read more

Came here hoping for a quick meal. We also tend to like golden chick, but this was not quick at all and was a disappointing meal. We waited for about 20 minutes in the drive thru. They were out of a lot of things, mac and cheese, straws, and sodas in particular that we tried to order. Yes that means they give you overflowing drinks without straws. They don't give you sauce that you order, napkins, or plasticware. They also really have trouble getting the order right - one of us got zpucy while the other didnt, no sauce at all until asked and tgen they gave us one for the two meals we had ordered. The overall employee vibe is apathetic. The food was not golden chic quality. Tenders were hard, okra stale, and nothing tasted warm or fresh. One of our rolls was even hard. I placed an order through the app for pickup. After waiting in the drive thru I was told to pull up and wait some more. After being told to pull up and wait I waited almost 30 minutes before I call to see about my order. When I called it seemed like someone answered then I heard a fax machine tone. I waited a few more minutes and sent my daughter in to ask about the order. At the same time I called back. No one answered. About 10 minutes later my daughter comes out with the order. She also asked if I called the restaurant a second time. I said yes why. She said because someone had said that's Lisa calling back. She is outside waiting in her car. And funny thing is they were not even busy. I get the food home and was assessing my order. I ordered two family mash potatoes with gravy on the side and one family Mac and cheese. I received 6 individual serving of mashed potatoes with gravy on them and 3 individual size Mac and cheese. I don't think the Mac and cheese was a full serving. I ordered 12 rolls. I got 12 very squished pieces of bread. My 25 tenders were all there but underwhelming. And I ordered a family order of fries that was undercooked. I didn't receive any of the condiments I asked for either. All this for $65. Absolutely was not worth it and I doubt I'll ever go back. You would be smart to not go either. read more

After a second visit, I will never return to this location. I have never been treated so rudely! The cashier at the drive thru said there was about a 5 minute wait for roasted chicken, AFTER I placed my order and paid. I said ok, I'll wait. TWENTY MINUTES later my food was brought to the car. Obviously the (cold) tenders had been boxed and sitting there waiting for the roasted chicken to finish. I asked if I could have fresh tenders and the cashier said, " No, we don't do that." Really? This place is fairly new to our area. Let me first say that the food is great. But that is where it stops. I have only ordered from here twice, both were horrible experiences. The first time it was through DoorDash. I ordered a family meal, 16 tenders, mashed potatoes and okra. My package arrived sealed but very light in weight. What I got was mashed potatoes with gravy and rolls. THEY FORGOT ALL 16 TENDERS! How do you forget the main course when the reciept is attached to the bag? My second purchase was through the drive thru, and from the start the short fat girl was very rude. I ignored it. Went up to the window to pay and pick up my food, again rude. Guess what? My order was wrong, but I didn't want to deal with the rudeness of little miss thick girl so o took my loss. I don't know if she was having a bad day, this is a daily thing with her or her cholesterol and blood pressure just happened to be high.
