We have been ordering from Golden Buddha for over fifteen years. Great Egg Rolls and a wide variety of dishes. Always fresh and good service inside and easy to order on - line to pick up. read more

I hadn't been to Golden Buddha since moving away 16 years ago. Nothing has changed to the decor. Don't let the outside appearance keep you from eating here. The waitress was very friendly, attentive. The food was OUTSTANDING! Better than I remember! I had Chicken Almond Ding. Others in our party, loved what they ordered. We all had egg drop soup and added egg rolls (which are huge and a meal in itself)! We all got take home boxes to enjoy another day. Prices are super reasonable and the restaurant is very quiet. It's great for a small group that wants to hear the conversation. I highly recommend Golden Buddha, Dine in or Take Out! read more

I was craving Chinese food while at the campground. This did not disappoint, it looks closed at night because the lack of light/ no lit up sign but don't let this deter you. It is delicious, fresh, great service if you eat inside. Plenty of food and affordable! The inside has a big buddha statue and pretty ceiling accents. Of course it isn't super fancy but you can tell by the food they put their love into it. Definitely will have to make this a tradition! read more

DO NOT USE THEIR ONILINE ORDER SYSTEM They do not look at the actual detail of the order. When ordering you can add special requests, like no mushrooms. They do not look at that and give you what they want to do. If you check the box on the order form for more sauce, you are out of luck there too! They do not look at the details from the online order. $25 of food we cannot eat because they made our food wrong. read more

Not too shabby. The egg rolls are huge but the cabbage in them tasted a bit off... I loved the dumplings! 10/10. The beef and broccoli says spicy but it is not. The service is a little slow, so order ahead. Otherwise I think it's worth a try. Also take a pic with the cute Buddah when you walk in . read more

Owners attitude for 1 apparently they don't put vegetables in fried rice but has a vegetable fried rice on the menu but I guess it's only green onions so I asked to have vegetables added so I ended up With snow peas and mushrooms and a $4.95 extra charge no green peas or carrots not even eggs in my fried rice puzzled read more

The Golden Buddha restaurant is a hidden GEM and an AMAZING Chinese restaurant about 2 minutes off of the interstate and a 8 hour drive from my home. AND... it is worth the drive! One of my favorites meals is the Golden Buddha T-bone steak. This dish is served literally sizzling, with fresh sautéed Chinese vegetables, and a divine homemade chef's sauce! The meal is delicious! If the Golden Buddha Restaurant wanted to sell and bottle some of the chef's sauces, I would not only buy bottles to take home, but also invest & buy stock. I am sure the bottled sauces would sell like Hotcakes! The resturant has a HUGE menu of Chinese and American items to choose from ranging from e Subgum Wonton (Bar-B-Q pork, chicken and shrimp...) to your choice of hamburger or chicken nuggets with fries (for $5.95) or my favorite Golden Buddha T-bone steak (for $20.95). There is something on this menu for everyone! Don't forget to take a picture with the larger than life-size Golden Buddha statue inside the lobby of the restaurant EACH TIME you visit. The photo is a keepsake and it is said the Golden Buddha will bring health and wellness. The resturant has been around for a long time. And like a fine wine, the menu continues to evolve. In addition to Chinese and American dishes, the chef offers a diversity of Cantonese dishes and a exceptional variety of fish dishes. etc.. The outside of the restaurant has also been around for a bit and needs a little TLC, but don't let the appearance of the parking lot or cement of the staircase dissuade you... Once inside, the restaurant, you will be warmly greeted by a museum quality, antique wood carved ceiling, a larger than life HUGE Golden Buddha statute & wonderful aromas from the kitchen! Enjoy! read more

I'm giving this 5 stars which is based on the quality and tastiness of the food, which was excellent! So was the service by the waitress. The restaurant ambiance and overall state is no more than average I would say, but it is clean as far as I could tell in the areas that matter. It not very big and (it was nearing closing time) the other customers agreed the food was well above average. They were, like me, passing through. From what I could tell they probably won't be back but I for sure will as it's on the way from where I live to Chicago area and Wisconsin, where I travel for work regularly. Thumbs up for this place! read more

The food is not authentic. It is Americanized Chinese food. The bathrooms are filthy. Needs updated and thoroughly cleaned.

I love Golden Buddha their chicken and rice is amazing and they have the best sesame chicken with rice. And cannot forget about the egg drop soup and their crab rangoon! And they have a great team. read more

Never fails to satisfy my Chinese food Jones. Good food and they deliver, good service and they know me.

This is the worst Chinese food experience I have ever had. From the boiled meat, to the indoor dining experience that is non existent, yes that is correct. They are the only ones around who still have their indoor dining shut down because of covid. Food was bad, service was bad. Just an unpleasant overall experience. Stay away if your value your taste buds. read more

Haven't been in a couple of years and decided to try it on a Saturday night. Its sad to see a great restaurant decline. Buddha used to be the best place in the area to eat (except for the smoking section, that was gross). Like many recent reviewers, I was assaulted with a nasty stank smell in the outer lobby. Hold your breath on your way through. They have had the same menus since forever. Worn covers and faded and yellowed pages. The prices haven't changed either; cheap eats. One server was working the tables and one working a large party of 20ish people. Our waitress didn't know the menu. My wife and son asked for vegetable lo mein (not on the menu but have had it here before) and she steered us towards the Cantonese vegetable dish. She called it vegetable lo mein but its not even close. It had some aldente ramen type noodles beneath a pile of veg. We would've told her about her error but she never returned. No "how is everything tasting?" or "can I get you anything else?" Someone failed waitress school. My son couldn't eat the noodles and didn't care for the vegetables so we boxed it up to feed to my chickens. I ordered pork lo mein and was served beef. The entire dish was bland. It was made edible with a little soy sauce that was on the table. What I really wanted was some hot sauce but waitress was MIA. The egg drop soup is still good and I enjoyed the egg roll. No spring rolls available for the vegetarians. It was a cheap meal for three if you don't count the pizza I had to pick up on the way home. Bad service, bad food, bad smells, and my beer was warm. read more

This place is truly a hidden gem! It has been open for a very long time I have been eating here for at least 20 years! I always get the eggrolls and vegetable fried rice and drown them in their homemade sweet and sour sauce! They still make their food from scratch down to the yummy sauce! (no gloppy red stuff from a jug here) read more

I hate to write a bad review for a restaurant that I had no previous experiences with, but it seemed only fitting. Starting off with the general atmosphere: Not only did the restaurant have a certain smell when first walking in, the hostess/waitress was not very inviting. Moving onto the food, I was very disappointed. Even the fountain drinks seemed off, which led me to getting a water, which wasn't very good either. Seeming as it was my first time there, I decided to get something simple. Hawaiian chicken, which came with egg drop soup, and also an order of crab rangoons. Although the food was mediocre, there were definitely many cons. Such as: The oil used for both the rangoons and chicken seemed old. The chicken was drenched in sweet and sour sauce. And the soup was as thick as mucus. There are many other things I could include in my review, but my final statement is that I was not impressed, and I will not be returning. read more

This place has been my go to Chinese restaurant since I was young. Best by far in the area.

Great Food every time I come here I'm always satisfied. I enjoy the dishes they offer and they give you so much definitely will need a take home box. I recommend this place. They have Hunan and Mandarin dishes for those with a spicy appetite, they also have American dishes. read more

This place is not heart healthy. In my personal opinion the food was not good at all. My kids took one bite and looked at me and spit the food out. I did the same and have to agree with them. The family members whom suggested this place said that this was the best food around. Being from Phoenix and having enjoyed really great chinese food my suggestion is to get a frozen dinner from the super market and you will be better off. read more

Had dinner here today. Worse chinese food ever. The fantail shrimp were approx. 1/2"X1" within 3" of fried batter. Shrimp inside were cold ,overcooked, dry, and tough. Just a waste of my time. When entering, it smelled like a damp basement. Should have been a clue. Too many items on menu to make anything good. Home made egg rolls?? Why isn't everything made in house, makes one wonder? read more

First of all, on a Saturday Night. People were seated in order of arrival from front to back. Noisy. Everyone who came in after you walked by your table. We had Sweet and Sour Shrimp and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The shrimp and chicken was 90% breading. It was to include tomatoes, pineapple and green peppers. We each received 1 piece pineapple, 2 pieces pepper and a few small pieces of tomato. Lots of sauce, which was tasty. I make better rice at home, theirs was sticky. The sodas tasted horrible. The cookies that came with the bill shattered when you bit into them they were that hard. The fortune cookies were inedible as well. When it came time to pay the bill, there were several of us in line, but the cashier answered the phone to take a very long takeout order. It took 15 minutes to pay the bill. By that time they had cleared our table, so I waited until I seen our waitress again to give her a tip, her service was impeccable, only to have several other waitresses offer to give it to her. After a few minutes she came out and was very grateful I'd waited. All in all it wasn't a pleasant experience. I only gave it 1 star because I couldn't write a review otherwise. read more
