Issues not reported/missed in the inspection: The fire door to the garage is in fact NOT fire rated putting us in potential danger. The dryer vent pipe was badly clogged, again creating a fire hazard. While in the crawl space fixing the clogged pipe I discovered most of the joints of the copper pipes showed green corrosion indicating past or current leakage. Also, the exterior gate was too low to the ground so was totally non-functional. They did not inspect it because it was locked even though the homeowner was present and could have unlocked it. There are other minor things missed but these are what I found after 2 months in the home. I know they have disclaimers for things they cannot see, etc. but I still would recommend you steer away from these guys they seem to concentrate on the cosmetic and miss some more serious/costly areas.

I had a handyman that had tried to help me with this, but was unsuccessful. The electrician called in the morning to let me know he would arrive in 20 minutes, and he did! I now know more than I hopefully will ever need to know about GFI's. All very interesting and good to know electrical safety stuff. Definitely call an electrician, not a handyman. Interestingly, I had outlets that weren't working that I didn't even know about. They were all on the same string as the bathroom. So glad he took the time to check everything out. He was able to provide all this great customer service for slightly less than what I was quoted, which was a nice suprise.

I told her I wanted a price quote to have new rain gutters installed on my 2-story home. So, Wendy scheduled Miguel to come in 2 weeks to meet and discuss the job scope and provide a cost bid. Miguel came on time and wearing a face mask. He walked the house, took measurements, did his calculations, and then provided a written price quote. He also showed us color samples and sample pieces of rain gutters he used for installations. After getting other price quotes from other rain gutter contractors, we decided to hire Custom Made Gutters. We signed the contract and included our deposit. Wendy got us scheduled onto Miguel's busy work calendar. Miguel came out as scheduled and took 1 day to do the full gutter installation. He did very professional work. All gutters had the correct slope and all joints were tight and well fitted to the house lines. Miguel cleaned up all debris and there was no extra gutter material left over. A postive demonstrated skill trait of a well experienced (20+ years) installer with good focus on providing excellent workmanship and customer service!! We were very pleased with the gutter Installation, great fit and finish for the gutter, downspouts, and leaf debris covers. Unfortunately, one of the toilets has never functioned properly--it constantly runs and struggles to flush. Despite John returning several times, the problem was never resolved. We later hired John for other odd jobs, including installing a garbage disposal and fixing water backup into our dishwasher. As always, he was punctual and friendly. However, the garbage disposal was installed incorrectly, which caused new problems. He also accidentally caused some minor floor barrier damage while working in that area. To his credit, he offered to repair the damage right away, but I declined because I appreciated his willingness to help. The next day, when the water backup issue continued, we called him back. To our surprise, he asked for MORE money to revisit the SAME problem he had originally been paid to fix. Even after paying again, the issue still wasn't fixed. We ultimately had to hire another company, who immediately discovered that John had not removed the knockout plug or connected the dishwasher properly--something very basic for that type of installation. Overall, while John is personable and punctual, I cannot recommend him due to repeated problems, additional charges for unresolved issues, and ultimately needing to pay another professional to correct mistakes. Seems like an overall good guy trying to make a living but he needs to take his customers into better consideration if he would like to keep them.

I had a company come out and remove the damaged drywall and inspect if there were any further damages. I was also given a referral to a different company to complete the drywall repair along with the texturing. That company came out and gave me an estimate which seemed extremely high for a small area of work that needed to be fixed. The area that was damaged was one whole side of a wall along with less than half of the ceiling. I wanted a second option so I reached out to CR Drywall. Samuel, the owner answered immediately and came out the very next day to provide an estimate which was HALF the cost of the estimate provided by the other company. He and his son had the job done within a week. Samuel and his son are very polite and professional. They showed up on time, are great with communication and did a fantastic job with my drywall repair and texturing. I would highly recommend CR Drywall and will be using them again for all my future needs.
