THIS SCHOOL IS HORRIBLE! I was previously going through a custody battle with my children's father…read moreafter he basically parental KIDNAPPED our two children . I HAD NO KNOWN LOCATIONS FOR MY CHILDREN , THEY'RE FATHER WAS A FLIGHT RISK. I had found out my children were going to this school , I PROVIDED ALL INFORMATION SHOWING I AM THEIR MOTHER AND THEY'VE BEEN IN MY CARE (the father had his girlfriend on all the records for the school claiming she was the children's mother) this school asked for no type of proof , RECORDS, ANYTHING! I informed them they can call law enforcement (I had all proper documentation) just for the school to call their dad to immediately pick them up . This made it so much MORE DIFFICULT TO LOCATE MY CHILDREN AND CONFIRM THEIR SAFETY! This school IS HORRIBLE AND SAFETY IS NOT A PRIORITY AT ALL! The school must realize they were VERY WRONG because I pulled my children out of the school after involving Folsom Police in an effort to locate my children AFTER ALL THIS MESS ! They're fortunate I don't get an attorney and sue the school district for negligence. ANOTHER THING , when I called the school to inform them I have located my children and I HAVE EMERGENCY CUSTODY THE WOMAN IN THE OFFICE HAD THE AUDACITY TO ARGUE WITH ME! THIS SCHOOL IS A MOCKERY !!

They teach students music, poetry slam, public speaking, and many more. Not only do they teach STEM and Spanish classes, they also do fun activities like Family school dances where my whole family went and danced together with the other family, teachers and staff. I absolutely love the community aspect of this school. Let's talk about security. This school enforces strict rules regarding pick up and drop offs. A key pad must be entered in order to get in. Don't you want your loved ones to be safe and secure all day? Some bonus points are: Folsom Prep offers fun activities for after school programs, such as cooking and ninja classes. My daughter absolutely loves summer camp here as well. Kona ice has frequently stopped by over the last couple of years during summer camp. Currently my daughter is taking the ninja class on Fridays. You will not be disappointed if you enroll your loved ones here! Message me if you have additional questions :)

Wow! Super surprised there isn't a review yet!…read more School looks really nice. Well kept, yet limited parking. Interaction with the staff has been pleasant so far. The kiddo started Kindergarten today. Registration process went smooth. I heard the school was impacted, so some kids were getting sent via bus to other schools. Library looks awesome! Lots of books. We had to go there for some ESL testing. I guess they are required to test when there is more than one language spoken at home. Little did they know the 5 year old was fluent in sarcasm, too! Haha!! Me the kiddo's Kindergarten teacher. He was put into a 10:25am-1:46pm class. Note--they aren't given a school lunch in Kinder, but do get a 30 minute recess where they can eat snacks brought from home. It sounds like they look for a lot of volunteer work and donations. $40 donation for classroom supplies and cheetah bags for each student--which makes sense if they are trying to be fair and equal. My son goes by his middle name, and they are attempting to make him use his first name (long story). Thinking there might be an issue that comes up when he doesnt respond to his first name O_o...gonna give them the benefit of the doubt. Cheers! Looking forward to an awesome year.

The school claims to pride itself on its Catholic values and sense of community. This couldn't be further from the truth. While there are families there for the right reasons, the majority are not. There is a huge problem with bullying, and it goes completely unaddressed. The kids are rude and many lack basic manners. Not a far departure from the parents who are simply there for status. This is much more a private school than a Catholic school. This review is 100% towards the school. St. John the Baptist Church is wonderful and unfortunately has very little to do with the school. This year can not be over soon enough, taking my kids to a much better environment.

All parents beware of Russle Ranch Staff Member!!…read more I'm absolutely appalled this staff member is even allowed to be working along children and parents. Description of staff member a woman with gray tinker bell hair cut in her late 60s. Today I was picking my kindergartener up from school. I'm fully aware we are NOT allowed to leave our vehicles unattended. However, my child's class dismissal area was not even a foot away from my vehicle from where I was standing near my passenger door. I stood there so the could see I was present and the teacher would release my them to me where I could load my child into the car. They cannot open a SUV car door by themselves due to size. This person started yelling at all the families standing in the area saying "whose vehicle is this?" Which I understand why she was calling that question out. But this is where it went all wrong! I told her it is mine while I had my child in hand as I walked them to the car door. I was telling my child to hurry up because she was angry. And she overheard me saying that & she starts to argue to me in front of my kid as I'm strapping them into the car seat. As I begin to pull away there was two vehicles ahead of me, which were completely stopped and I motion to her to tell them to move as well, because she was screaming at me prior and I wasn't even blocking traffic. This lady proceeds to come up to my passenger window where I roll my window down to speak to her, and she proceeded to start screaming at me in front of my child. Instead of her acknowledging me and making it known to the other vehicles that they need to move also. She ended up screaming at me for the second time which this time I wasn't calm. I had to roll up my window because my child was absolutely frightened by how aggressive she was!!!!! Please note all the other families standing near my car heard her hostile tone she had out the gate towards me instead of being professional. All she has to do is tell me calmly the first time that I can't leave my car and that would of been the end of it. But because she decided to choose violence here I am leaving a honest review so families know the type of employees they hire here. I'm going to reach out to the district next because this is disgusting. Do better!
