The website looked great and it had all the buildings I was looking to move into around the area. But offering to do the search based on my preferences and budget, book the appointments, escort me to my showings and most of all, give a rebate. Sounds too good to be true right?! But I told myself, what do I have to lose. So I called ConnectDTLA, Mark picked up. He was friendly and easy to talk to. He explained the process and was ready to get to work. He collected the details of what I was looking for, and the next day, he messaged me with my appointment details. No kidding! He was very responsive and worked with my schedule. Here is the best part: we viewed 2 high rise communities (hope + flower, 825 s hill), that I told him I was interested in, but little did I know he had a surprise. He booked a third viewing at an apartment that I had written off my list. Mark said, "I booked the appointment, just take a look, if you don't like it, what do you have to loose". And I said "you're right, I have nothing to loose". We went over to the Atelier building and I fell in love!!! Well, if you reading this, you guessed it. I live in the Atelier building, which is one of the best buildings in DTLA because Mark brought me here. Now, here is the epic part! A few months later, Mark delivers a check! He was communicating with me, while I waited for the check. He is a stand up guy. This is my Honest review. If you are looking at Downtown LA apartments, work with ConnectDTLA. My wife and I were first time home buyers & they took FULL advantage of our trust, lack of experience and excitement of being so. They're remodeling work is half assed and total "Mickey Mouse" quick fix, borderline dangerous stuff. We almost had a fire scare because of that shotty electrical work. They pushed and pressured us to sign, but after we did they completely stopped being helpful they became non-responsive to or calls and requests. Once we moved in there were so many things wrong with so many things that we've had to fix little by little. We felt completely taken advantage of. Not how you want your 1st home purchase to be. Our realtor's name was Danny and we feel he was a Scumbag scam artist. This is a family business so watch out for ALL OF THEM. They don't care about the customers best interest they are all about their $$. And I think they changed they're name as well, or operate under different names all the time because I've passed by this office recently and it has a different logo on the door. I think they also operate under "Excellence Real Estate"

There are many restaurants near this apartment. We were able to order take-out from hundreds of restaurants nearby. Getting the food from the driver on the street was also easy, because it is a small street, so it doesn't have much traffic. The apartment was new, with a great-looking kitchen with LG appliances. On top of that, there is also a barbecue on the rooftop. It's a beautiful way to end your day watching the sunset over Ktown and enjoying a lovely bbq. Last but not least, is because there are, I believe, 50 units, there is a peacefulness here. I live in another apartment, and there were over 300 units. They were nice too, but there was a lot of constant activity/ noise within the building. I am thinking about moving in with Tripalink after my lease end with my old place, and I have seen their social media of a new upcoming apartment, which also look fantastic. Overall, great first impression.

MY SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUND CHECK THEY SENT ME BOUNCED!! Hey guys just another update about my…read moresecurity deposit THAT I STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED since moving out July 25th we are now in September.. I think it's hilarious that the previous 3 tenants I talked to got $300 of their deposit back, well I got $250 of my deposit back hahaha! They charged me 100$ for the cleaning of a COMMON area. Keep in mind after they threw my groceries away I didn't use any of the common areas. Plus I paid utilities that included maids that didn't do their job at all, so why would I need to pay to clean up an area they've been maintaining lmao. Also, the check they sent me bounced. So I just waited two weeks for my money for them to stop payment. I'm afraid the only way to work with this company will be through small claims. Can't say I'm surprised they fcked this up. If you read the WHOLE review which I know is a lot lol you would know that when it came time for them to charge me for my first months rent these idiots put the wrong routing and account numbers in a "typo" they said and tried to gaslight and tell me I didn't have enough funds in the account when there was 20k in the checking alone. They wanted to charge ME 50$ LATE FEE/INSUFFICIENT FUND FEE without even notifying me the payment didn't go thru the day of. They admitted their mistake and dropped the late fee but do you see the pattern here of unprofessionalism? Update- they instead are doing an ACH transfer apparently it takes 1-2 days but I'm still angry about the bounced check, that really affects my bank account and how my mobile deposits are processed in the future now that I have a history of trying to cash bad checks because of tripalink. Still wasn't told why the check written to me was canceled. When I called they REFUSED to tell me who the regional manager I should name in a lawsuit and kept telling me it's just tripalink even after I explained tripalink is not a human that I can serve legal papers to. She told me she would figure out who it was because she has no fkin clue. Hoping this direct transfer is idiot proof. Anything these people do needs to be idiot proof or it's not gonna work out. Never had a more difficult experience and I've lived all over the United States. I just don't understand how so many people can be so bad at their job. I'm living with Alpine Property Management in the same area and the experience is just so night and day. I'm only paying a little bit more money each month for my own private studio and they even sent emergency maintenance at 11pm. There are so many better options out there than tripalink. They are known to fake reviews so any and all 5 star reviews are fake/people on their payroll.
