My two most important rings had been just sitting in my jewelry box; my wedding band that is engraved and a birthstone ring my Mom gave me for my 21st birthday. I had asked about putting the wedding band on a necklace with links around the band instead of looped through the center of the ring. After a few moments, David said he had a better idea. He wanted to drill through the band and thread a chain through. Plus hang a stone to showcase from it. That pulled in my Mom's ring. I'm absolutely in love with the end result. See picture. I made the mistake of…read morefirst taking my beloved broken ship's bell clock to a nearby and better-known competitor who took three weeks to give an estimate that was more than three times the price of the clock, itself. I left thinking I'd have to start saving for another bell clock when I recalled Tom of Eternal Timepieces who had previously done an excellent job adjusting one of my Swiss watches... and took the clock there. Upon my arrival, I was surprised when they immediately opened up the clock and examined it thoroughly before giving me a very reasonable estimate. I was told it should be ready in four weeks. After that time, I received a call and was told Tom was having some trouble adjusting the clock to his standards and requested a bit more time. A week after that, I was called and told the clock was ready. I was charged exactly the amount of the estimate and now that I've had the clock back for several weeks, I have been just astounded at how accurately and perfectly he adjusted the clock; it keeps almost perfect time... a wonderful improvement over its previous performance in which it ran a minute or two fast per week. Now, it runs at only about a couple seconds fast a day...amazing accuracy for a mechanical movement! And the chimes sound when they should and as they should. Their care and attention to detail will have me returning time and time again with both my watches and clocks. Wonderful job done at such a reasonable price. Can't say enough good things about them... but will say, thank you so very much.

We were also going to check out their gold and coin purchasing program as I had inherited a coin collection from my father .It said online that they opened at 10 AM. We were sitting out in the parking lot area and saw what we believe to be one of the owners showing up AT 10 AM. In my personal opinion if you're open hours start at 10 AM then you should be open and ready to do business at that time. We walked in about 10:05 AM as we wanted to let her get in the door (and someone followed her in). We had to buzz to get in. She was already saying something through the speaker at us, but we went ahead and walked in the door. Without any greeting she said I won't be ready for 10 to 15 minutes ! Why don't you go over to Starbucks and get a coffee! And then said "Do you have an appointment?!" We immediately turned around and left! Her tone was rude, she could've addressed it so much differently like could you please give me a couple of minutes? Everything seemed abrupt. Like we were putting her out because we wanted to come spend money at her store. I have not needed an appointment to look at jewelry for a possible purchase anywhere before. Needless to say... He brought all of the equipment did the testing and made an offer. I had done quite a bit of research on my own and so I had a good idea of what the gold and other jewelry were worth. Barry was kind and personable and very fair in his offer. We accepted the offer and sold all of the estate to him.
