Communication was professional, and I appreciated the option for a payment plan at the end. However, when I requested a small fee reduction near the close of my case--more as a gesture of goodwill than a critique of her billing--I was met with a very rigid response. That, combined with some earlier concerns, left me feeling that the service lacked the level of care and client-centered approach I had hoped for. Others may have different experiences, but for me, the legal guidance didn't always meet the level of attentiveness I needed during such a sensitive chapter in my life.

We hired Cathryn Moore to retrieve our vehicles back last month. When we hired her she assured us…read morethat we would get our vehicles back very quickly. With in a week she said. Once we attended her office and gave her 2000 dollars in cash everything changed. We had to wait over a month to get them back and the vehicles are still not due back until the tenth of this month. The police also took thousands of dollars in our property that was not logged in due process. We are trying to fight to find out where the property is and yet we are still to be informed of its location. Mrs Moore informed us that there was pretty much nothing we could do about the property and that we should "pick our battles" and just let it go. We are talking about thousands of dollars of property including a iMac computer belongings of all my children personal photographs electronics clothing etc etc. she seems to think that she would convince us to not Persue the property and even though the police did not follow the law in terms of handling our belongings and log every item they took she claims there is nothing we can do. I informed Cathryn that after she finished what she was paid to do with getting the vehicles back she would no longer be required to assist us due to lack of competence. She then emailed my wife saying that she would not finish the case as she had been fired and told her that we would need another lawyer to complete the case. She was told that her services were no longer required AFTER she completed the case and since she was paid already for the job she was to do that implication should have been apparent. The vehicles were taken from our home by police and due to that my business has suffered dramatically and Mrs Moore did nothing to fight for us to get vehicles back with out having to pay to have them returned . She did absolutely the bare minimum like send a few emails and now refuses to complete her job that she was already paid to do in cash. Given the circumstances of what we have been through and the amount of money we have already lost and that she is fully aware we have lost her actions are despicable! We have a 6 month old baby here and two other children and she knows full well the financial struggles we face to support this family already and she showed absolutely no compassion to us or our situation and has left her job not completed and did not fight for us to have our property returned with being charged financially for it. I don't want her actions to reflect poorly on the whole firm and I don't know about anyone else there but I do know that this lawyer is a disgrace to her field! You should be ashamed of yourself Cathryn taking advantage of people that needed your help and doing absolutely nothing to help them after taking some of the only money they had left and then leaving before your job was even complete when you were fully aware of the implications about your services no longer being required! You were paid for a job and we are financially in serious trouble and you know that so you knew full well we wanted you to complete what you were paid to do!!! You are a horrid person and we are not going to just let this go. We will be making tons of complaints and doing all we can to ensure you answer for your actions If I could give zero stars I would but that's not even an option. This woman should be barred from her practice! Thief and liar as well as scammer!! Beware as soon as you give her money you will regret it! She talks a big game at first and leads you to believe she is good and will help you but as soon as you pay her she is a horrid horrid person! No communication, doesn't respond to texts for days completely ignores you and is highly rude and has no intentions on fighting for your case! Complete scam!!!!

I checked with the office and we started anew. To make things right for me, Rhonda completed the will at end of the same day, gave me overnight to check the rather complicated details, made adjustments the next day and came to the house to ensure I had the will signed and completed on time and on budget. I've also had Ms Murray deal with an executor issue of property transfer; a matter of creating legal documents for a personal, short term loan; and a family court issue. I find Ms. Murray easy to deal with, straightforward, knowledgeable on these various matters and trustworthy.

The changes to the regulations of wills, representation agreements, and bequests mean that you should seek out a specialist to help you navigate this complex legal field. They even included the registration of the wills ( strongly recommended by our son, the labour lawyer...who told us to use a specialist firm). Meetings were done online, with reviews via pdf. Anyhow, Kristen was super patient with me, explaining everything to me, often repeating details (a few times!), and helping refer us to other resources we inquired about. I can't stress how much peace of mind it provides, especially as a parent, to have these documents done - and done correctly. Kristen responded to my emails and calls promptly, and I liked how they offer free notarization to their clients (note: other firms we used all charge for notarizing documents).
