They will illicitly steal from your car, they will allow others to use your car when impounded, they will give your car back in worse shape than they received. The owner feels she is above the law and the Constitution. I recommend avoiding this tow company like it's the plague. They are by far some of the most two faced, greedy people you will ever meet. My experience with Gold City Towing was through my AAA membership. I had a great experience! I received a confirmation call as well as one informing me when the driver departed their facility as well as when he was close. Through my AAA app, you can also follow the progress which matched up with the phone calls I received from the dispatcher. The dispatcher was very friendly and professional. When the driver arrived, he introduced himself and verified what information AAA sent to them. He was very professional, explained what would occur and asked if I had any questions. Once he was finished he went back over what had occurred, explained the sheet I was to sign and again asked if I had any questions. He thanked me for being a AAA member. Despite the terrible reviews this establishment has received they are really great! i'm glad i gave them a try! very nice and good people all the way around. needed my ford towed to the knox ford auto shop and they told me it would be about 30 mins, came in 20. like i said nice people never had a problem or "rude" barrier. maybe it was just the customers because they are indeed not always right. but i highly recommend they are the best in town!! read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. This place is a joke. They were supposed to come and get me for over 2 hours when I was stranded on the side of the BlueGrass Parkway. Every time I called them, the lady told me the driver was en route. However, after calling multiple times, and only being about 15 minutes away from them, I finally said how long??? She told me that her driver was dehydrated and she didn't have a time when he was coming. I called Carl's and they came out in 20 minutes. Skip these guys, they don't have a clue and there are better companies out there. read more

I wish I could post a -10. This company is a shark in the water. Their business is praying on the unfortunate. I've known this company to illegally tow cars to their lot and charge ridiculous fees. On another occassion they attempted to deceive an individual into thinking that their impounded car had to remain on their lot. They tried to charge this individual 200.00 for one day and then tried to make them jump through a bunch of illegal hoops to get the vehicle back. If you do business with this company... make sure you have your attorney on speed dial, as apparently that is the only way to get them to behave ethically or legally for that matter! Make sure to report any illegal or unethical activity from the business in order to help get crooks like this out of business! read more

My car got a blown tire and I had to pull off the road. Unfortunately, the car was straddling a storm gulley and it wasn't a good location to change a tire. So, I called AAA and they dispatched a vehicle from GOLD CITY TOWING. After about an hour, a GOLD CITY TOWING pickup truck pulled up next to my car and the driver asked in a sarcastic tone, "well... what do you want me to do?" I told him a had a flat tire and I didn't want to damage the rim, so he went and parked his truck about 100 feet up the road. After he parked, he stood there with my step-son and was joking about the whole situation, so I walked up to him to see what was going on. He said, "I thought you were going to pull the car over here". Not wanting to damage the rim, I went against my better judgment and backed up my car next to this guy's truck. Afterwards, he kind of milled about and it wasn't till I finally pulled out my jack and spare tire that he finally walked up to me with his floor jack and said, "here... use this". That was the last straw! This guy was not being helpful, so I just told him to "just get the @#&! out of here... you're no help". Keep in mind, at this point, the lazy guy didn't even bother assessing the tire damage. After installing the spare tire and dropping the car off at Berger's Tire in Elizabethtown, I called GOLD CITY TOWING to tell a manager what happened. A lady answered the phone, but she claimed to be the "night dispatcher" and she didn't have any record of my AAA service call! I told her the service call was only done an hour ago, but she insisted there was no such call. By the way, AAA confirmed that GOLD CITY TOWING was the company sent out on the call. UNBELIEVABLE!! I was driving a friend's car got into some trouble car ended up being towed...we called after it had been there for a week n somehow The bill was almost 800$ on top of she was helping me n my son move so her car was loaded down with my 5 year olds clothes shoes alot of our belongings.. These assholes told me they couldn't do anything for me or my property until I showed proof of ownership insurance n registration n a release from the police department..I mean cmon I don't didn't want the car jus my son's things what is that gonna hurt..n who r they to keep belongings that weren't part of the situation..those are things my baby boy needs but they won't let me get NE of it...Straight bull..Hate this place don't recommend them or their rude employees to anyone read more

He took great care of my car while loading it on the flatbed, was very courteous and even helped me push my car out of the garage to get it in place for the tow truck.
