This is my story. they are the only reliable car service in Minneapolis at this time 05.16.21. Added to a Prince Forum and will spread the word . Hey everyone, pass the word on here. I lived in Minneapolis (specifically Eden Prairie -13 min from Paisley). I moved to Tampa and flew in for business. I had a friend pick me up from the airport. I had a Paisley tour scheduled at 10:40 Saturday for the shoe exhibit. First I tried Lyft w/o a confirmation response. So I cancelled and tried Uber. Same response. In addition, they had on their website "pickup not guaranteed". So clearly not using. I used another car rental service and recieved a confirm but they were a no show. I missed my Paisley tour. I was PISSED. There are no real Taxis and most car services have gone out of business. Please use Gold & Green Taxi service. They may have you pay before b/c ppl have been scheduling and they have been a no show. There is an actual person who answers the phone. Plan about 60.00 at most with tip (Eden Prairie to airport). I'll attach a card. If they are busy ask them for the next reliable car service besides them. read more

My car had died earlier that day. I called for a ride at 1:30AM, three hours before I had to leave, to ask if it was better to set a pick-up time or to call closer to the time I needed to leave. The dispatcher said to call back when I was ready to go and give it an extra 15 minutes just to be safe. I called back at 4 and requested the ride. He asked for the pick-up and drop-off addresses, which I tell him are Burnsville and Prior Lake. His response. "No, we don't have any cars." Hangs up. Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service. I will never use this company again. I try to use local taxi companies when I can, but if this is how they are, then let Lyft run them out of business. Avoid them like the plague and don't trust their answers to your questions to be true or correct. read more

The driver was on time and was friendly. But he had me load my suitcase into the trunk. I have a sore shoulder; would have been nice to have him load it. He did take my suitcase out at the airport. read more

Website doesn't work to book ahead of time

We called Gold and Green Taxi, 3 days before our flight, for a trip to MSP Airport. The price was $114.00, not including tip. The dispatcher said if we wanted to guarantee a pick up time we needed to pay when ordering for pickup. I paid them on this call. We were picked up, on time, and we arrived at the airport on time for our flight. Our driver asked for payment. We told him we had already paid. He called the dispatcher and confirmed payment. When we came back, from our trip, we got a taxi, from the airport taxi stand. When we got home the driver charged us $55.00, not including tip. So Gold and Green Taxi charged us $59.00 more than the going rate. read more

I booked a taxi online a day before my departure from Andover, MN. The company contacted me to confirm ahead of time. The driver arrived a few minutes earlier, patiently waited for me, and helped with the luggage. He was polite and professional, and the whole experience was very positive. I will use this service again and would recommend it to others. Thank you! read more

Really great and timely service consistently !! They served us well in Lake Elmo for early am airport runs all seasons !

The company was professional, the driver was courteous, and the booking process was super easy. Thank you, Gold & Green Taxi

I prepaid a $220 fare with this service to have them pick my brother up at the bus depot and take him home. I tipped $44 (20%) for a total of $264. The driver tried to charge my brother an extra $30 because he had a walker, which fit in the trunk. My brother said keep the walker. I think the driver was the owner, a one man show. I'll never use them again. read more

We are regular Gold and Green taxi users for trips from home to the airport. They accept reservations, and prefer a lead time. They are always a little early, and patient: JJ has reminded us more than once to be sure we have our phones, and saved us great hassle. Their cars are clean, well maintained and comfortable. Best isJJ's , and his colleague 's sunny upbeat attitudes : easing for us what can be a stressful time. Gold and Green: you get our Gold medal! read more

Don't use their online system, because it doesn't work. After filling out their reservation well before my car was needed, I called them 30 minutes before my scheduled pickup and they told me they didn't have a car in my area and that I was supposed to call them. read more

In town for business, asked the hotel to call me a cab to go to Walmart to get a few things for my stay... Driver showed up fast, friendly service, waited at Walmart for me to do my shopping... Not sure how it worked to have driver stay while I went shopping so I gave him a 20$ bill.. He said that wasn't necessary but I insisted. Finished shopping, back to the hotel and the total was just over 22$.. He told me not to worry about the extra and would just use the 20 I already gave him... On that note, he unloaded my stuff and brought it up to my room for me.. I gave him another 20$ for great service... Unknown if all the drivers are like that, but this guy was great... Unfortunately I didn't get his name or cab #.. Will use them again when I come back to Minneapolis... read more

DO NOT USE!! I booked the day before for a trip from Eagan to MSP, and confirmed pick up date, time and location. I even added additional information to ensure they could locate my house. The driver called about 10 minutes before to confirm address, but could not seem to tell me where he was. After 20 minutes of trying to get his location and give directions to my house, the driver yelled at me that he was confused and then hung up on me. I called the dispatch number, only to get a recording telling me no one is in and leave a message. I ended up having to drive myself to the airport, barely making my flight, and had to pay a hefty parking charge. So for your own piece of mind, DO NOT USE this company, they are totally incompetent. Very dissatisfied customer. read more

I called for a taxi at 4:25 PM on a Thursday - peak of rush hour, so I expected to wait. The guy answered his phone, "Hello?" I asked if this was... and he cut me off to say the name of a different company. I had to ask if it was Green & Gold, and he said yes. Then he told me no way, it's rush hour, no taxis available, in a tone that suggested he thought I was crazy for asking. He said they had "black cars only, black cars, but they cost more." (He was referring to their luxury cars and SUV's.) I don't know if he was trying to upsell me or just set me straight about something I already knew. I told him that I wanted a taxi when one becomes available, and if that meant early evening, that was ok. He would not take a reservation. He told me to call back then. I asked him when he might have one available. He said "I should have more this evening." He wouldn't suggest a time to even call to reserve a taxi. He sounded so annoyed with me for trying to do business with his company. He kept saying "Ok?" Like he wanted me to go away. I just wanted a taxi, and I wanted reasonable information. I needed to go 8 miles (google says 7.4, but I rounded up), so not a terribly long trip. Their fare estimator was not working on their website, so he just said "$30." I said again it was less than 8 miles. He said, "Yes. $40. That is our price. $40. Call us back." My comment apparently cost $10. That's $5 per mile. It's been a while since I last paid for a taxi, but that seems a bit steep. I thought about things, and I decided to give only one star. I don't like doing that at all. I think one-star ratings tend to be more emotional than reasonable, but how else can I rate a business whose customer service is so bad that they would neither answer my questions or provide the service they advertise? I had originally posted this review with two stars because nearly every taxi company I've dealt with provides horrible customer service, but I decided that this company, like all others here, should be rated on its own merits, not by the standards of other companies. Since this was such horrible customer service that actually denied me a way to receive the service they sell, I think they are worth zero stars. I don't think that's an option though. The company owners say in their blurb below, "This Apple Valley taxi service makes one of the most reliable taxi or cab service in Eagan that provides round the clock service all seven days a week. We provide taxis in Minneapolis any time you demand our service and it is definitely a door-to door service." That seems an overly optimistic appraisal of their service. read more

Great service and friendly driver! I had a looong ride and the fare was double what i had expected, and the driver said he'd cut me a break if he could wait around for my meeting to be done (1 hr) and drive me back. He charged me $55 each way instead of the meter $75 each way. I'll use them again next trip to MN-St Paul. Great service! read more
