We are deeply grateful to "21Renovations"…read more Before we found 21Renovations, our home was full of a mess because other irresponsible constructors did poor work on there, broke every promise, and did not finished it for 6 months. So we changed our contractor to 21Renovations, and there's no regret at all. - Sasha, the real professional contractor said that they will complete the work in six weeks, and did it. When there were some problems, he doesn't hide it and makes us know the situation well. And finally, he solves it. - Pamela has positive, bright energy and helped us to make good choices. She catches our preferences well and suggests good ideas. - Dejan and all crews are very reliable, have a friendly manner, and did good quality works. - They wisely solve 'unexpected problems' and clearly make us know what can be done or not in time. It was a great experience working with crews of 21Renovations. The results are amazing! Only one thing we regret is that if we've been working with them since January, we might be able to write this review in March this year. We highly recommend "21Renovations" for people living in Vancouver. Lucas & Luna

Sasha, Juan, and the rest of the team completed a project for us in August-September this year…read more They created a beautiful barrierless shower in a complete bathroom redo, and did some drywall and painting work in the bed room. We found it easy to work with Sasha, from planning to contract to the actual work. Juan did a really amazing job, going above and beyond for us, and the tile teams are real pros. We highly recommend working with 21 Renovations on jobs you want done right with minimal worries.

I initially hired this company to work on my deck and guest bathroom because they offered me a…read morepackage deal, but throughout the job I learned that they could also do some work on the backyard. Before they arrived, it was in a very rough situation being on a hard slope with some uneven ground and just an overall mess. Not only did they do a great job remodeling the inside of the home, but I was also very satisfied with the end result on the landscape side of things. Everything looks clean and presentable at this point which is all I wanted. As far as the patio goes, it couldn't have been done better by my estimation. I got the flooring I've always wanted and the squeaky/shaky stairs have finally been fixed after tormenting us for months. They added a small rock wall and added a whole new patio roof. I'm really loving the end product on all of the projects we had them work on. Had to wait 3 weeks for them to start, and another 2 to finish everything up.

Basically, I had to completely remodel the basement suite and change the kitchen layout upstairs with all new appliances, etc. I was referred to these people by a friend so I had them do the job for one of my properties. All I can say is, wow. What a good job. The outcome looks like something you might see in the magazines; much better than I would've expected for the price. Will consider using them for future projects depending on how my next listing goes, but generally very pleased.

We are very lucky that we stumbled upon Level One on the internet when we were looking for a…read morecontractor to renovate our small condo in Coal Harbour. None of our friends or families had any recent home renovations done so we relied on our own search on the web. I was in town in September 2008 for a week, interviewed a couple on the 2nd day in town and decided on Level One. The owner came to the condo with an assistant for an assessment, listened to what we wanted to have done and offered a few suggestions. I was given a quote within just a couple of days. After agreeing to the contract, the demolition started the following week! Although it was a small one-bedroom condo, we had our kitchen torn out and replaced with new appliances and cabinetry, all the flooring replaced with bamboo flooring, the bedroom closet gutted and rebuilt, half of the bathroom redone. The project was completed in just 2 months. We are very happy with the process and the quality of the work. We were still living in California at the time of the renovation so all communications were done either by email or over the phone. We received email and photo updates weekly if not more frequently. We were sought approvals for any changes to the plans so we were aware of all changes to the costs all the time. When we walked into our condo a few months later when we moved here, it was exactly how it looked in the picture, even better because we could see it in person. There was a slight problem with the bathroom sink a month after we moved in in March 2009. It was a new product so it needed some tweaking. The owner came back numerous times to make sure it worked. Not only that we were not charged for the visits, he gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience caused. We had other renovation projects in the past and Level One is the most reliable contractor we dealt with so far.

Kav, Karim, and the team at Goldcon Construction are absolutely amazing. Words really cannot…read moredescribe how grateful we are to Goldcon - but since this is a Google review, I will try my best to paint a picture of how we worked together. Prior to selecting Goldcon, we had interviewed about 15 contractors. All of them were great sales people, they all sounded like they knew what they were doing, so narrowing it down was difficult. We eventually got it down to 3 companies (Goldcon and 2 others) and signed up to a design document with 1 of them that was not Goldcon. Typically in construction the contractors will charge a "Cost Plus" model or a "Fixed Price". For fixed price, you need to have a perfectly crafted scoping document so you know exactly what you are paying for. For "Cost Plus" you are paying a percentage on top of the cost of the project. Virtually all the contractors wanted to use a Cost Plus Model given all the uncertainties with supplies and labour. I just didn't like this idea because it didn't feel like the contractors would make an effort to negotiate the best price for us. Goldcon was one of the only contractors that was willing to do a fixed price for the build - but they were concerned that we would need to submit a variety of change orders if the supplies that we had chosen were out of stock. So we decided to settle on a fixed management fee and pay Goldcon in installments that were tied to milestones reached. As soon as we signed on the dotted lines, they got to work. And they worked fast. Trades were organized extremely efficiently, one after another. Multiple quotes were presented to us for each trade and they often were able to get their existing partners to match prices of lower price suppliers. Design ideas were brought to the table and discussed at length, but very quickly and efficiently. Communication was effortless, we setup a WhatsApp group and kept a history of all the things we discussed. When we had a difference of opinion, they always reverted back to "It's your house, you have whatever you like, but we just think XYZ would make the most sense". This was reassuring to us and most of the times we ended up going with their suggestions and it paid off. At no point in the process did we feel like we were being bullied into doing something or were we uncomfortable with the process. So overall, there are 100's of reasons to choose Goldcon and ZERO reasons to work with someone else. If you are looking for a builder for a new house or to do a larger renovation, Goldcon is the only company that I would recommend. I would be happy to speak with anyone personally that is interested in hiring them and would be thrilled to be a reference. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
