Now, I was only one person eating at the sushi bar, but my drink and three rolls came out much faster than I expected. My waitress that night was also kind and prompt. I ordered a salmon avocado roll, eel roll, and bulgolgi roll (Google search that one); all were great, but I'm so glad I ventured out and tried the bulgogi. I got the spring rolls (4/5), pho (3.5/5), and banh mi (3/5) to try. The banh mi was a bit non traditional with the sauce they used and was very heavy compared to the fragrant and lighter combination banh mi that is expected. It was missing some of the pickled veggies that you would expect to complement the sandwich. They also didn't use the legit type of deli meat in the combo. The cost per dish was a bit surprisingly high for Shreveport and even for Houston. It's one of the few Vietnamese spots but the bang for the buck proposition was lower than expected.

Pretty full Vietnamese menu and the place is fairly clean, though it's in a casino and so the crowds seem to come in waves. We were there on a Friday night before heading back home to Dallas the next morning. Price is pretty hefty at $23 for a bowl of pho, beef. Though it's a big bowl I just can't imagine the cost of beef and noodles in a soup would be that much. Again, we got a food credit so I didn't have to pay for it and left a $5 tip in their jar to say thanks. You order and pay first and then you can go sit down and wait until they call your name. Definitely had the faint whispers of that soulful soup that some pho places have, but to me a little overdone with scallions and white onions. Portion was pretty good, but the meat was a tad bit rubbery. They did have tripe which I absolutely love as well as the tendons so again it's ok to eat here, especially if it's on a food credit from gambling....where you probably spent more than the cost of the soup just to get the soup free....LOL

The SHRIMP SPRING ROLLS, however, left much to be desired. We unfortunately had to finally break open the spring roll wrap and eat only the shrimp out of it. Way too many noodles and the wrap was so chewy you could barely eat it let alone enjoy it. The WATER BOTTLE is how they serve their water to their guests. The PHO WITH ROUND EYE STEAK AND SOFT TENDON was good. The broth was excellent. The vegetables very fresh. The eye was quite tough, and having soft tendon before, it wasn't soft and sweet as previous establishments have. There were hard pieces and it was quite chewy. As you can see from the pictures, they do not "fancy the plates" with decoration or garnish. Very plain. Overall, it was a good experience. I will go back, but I will definitely not be having the spring rolls. As for the establishment itself, it was clean, but very basic.
