Wow the old Red Lobster looks different lol. At $35/a person and only 2 hours to eat till you're good? Count us in. We haven't been to a BBQ place in a while so on a whim we decided to come here. On a Saturday at 6pm it really wasn't busy. We were seated pretty quickly. A server brought us our banchan of kimchi (I asked for extra because it's good for you lol), broccoli, stir-fried veggies, and pickled radishes, along with 3 dips: yum-yum sauce, green tea kosher salt, and soy sauce. For the meats: Premium Beef Belly - the most tender cut they have and highly recommended by our server. we got two rounds of it. Ribeye Bulgogi - pretty good, your standard bbq cut Beef Brisket - didn't expect this to be as tender as it was. definitely a winner Kalbi Steak - delicious Butter Calamari - yeah, I overcooked it so it was rubbery. the pieces were fresh and we got tentacles and the body. Hawaiian Pork Belly - I tried a piece and it was tasty. Cajun Pork Belly - didn't try it, was too fatty for me but my fiance said it was great For the sides: Corn cheese - mine. sweet corn on a single, person-portion size griddle with melted cheese on top. I liked it Crispy calamari - ours. not sure what kind of breading they used but it's not your typical kind. this had seasoning and more flavor to it. very enjoyable Steamed egg - his. not much to say here Stir-fried glass noodles - mine. Complemented the meats very well Garlic noodles - his. he liked them We were full by the hour mark and regretted how hard we went in, however when our server recommended dessert our ears perked up. I got the Creme Brulee Cheesecake and he got the Carrot Cake. Later that night he ate the cake and said it was ok. I ate the cheesecake the following day and I felt the same way. The brulee was very, very light and almost non-existent. Nevertheless, we would come back for dinner. read more

Really enjoyed this place! The sides were really good and the meats delicious. My only complaint was that there wasn't an exhaust directly over the grill plate. This led to a frequent adjustment of the fire when grilling the meats and a constant smoke directed to our faces. read more

We went to this new place for an early Father's Day dinner. It is a remodeled Red Lobster. Place was very clean and the grill unit worked very well. The down draft vacuum system kept the grill smoke out of the room and off our clothes for the most part. Decor was nice with big screen TV's to watch the World Cup matches. The best sides we got were steamed eggs, baby back ribs, coconut shrimp, cheese corn and fried dough. The grilling meats were fresh and very good quality. Raymond our server was helpful and gave us just enough service to not be a nuisance but be there before we needed him. Overall great dining experience at a moderate price. read more

10/10 That's it no review needed lol. Place was absolutely great and SO MUCH FOOD! I didn't take to many photos because it was a lot but man I got full quick. Server was absolutely phenomenal! His name is Zaw and boy was he great! Big shout out to him and others who served some things and popped up to assist as well. Environment was great, the seating was very comfortable and just over all a cozy feel to it. Definitely have to go during the week for the bogo soju. Next time want to try the ramen and seafood. I'm so glad gogi is close by because I'm definitely going to be a regular regular. I suggest giving it a try and if you're new they explain everything and are extremely helpful with understanding the process. read more

Def one of my new favorite kbbq spots in Jax! Not only is the meat high quality, but the variety of different meats and sides you can order in is kind of crazy. Some highlight orders for me are the top blade steak, beef belly, kalbi steak, fish fillets, beef radish soup, and pineapple. Among many other delicious dishes of course. The only thing I wasn't too big of a fan of was the sweet fried dough. I was expecting like condensed milk, but it was the same glaze as the honey emulsion shrimp, so that's all I could taste. The servers are so friendly too, super quick to come around and take your orders so you're never just sitting around waiting. read more

So excited to come here especially being on a carnivore diet! Got their Seoul spicy chicken and they were real deal spicy so highly recommend if you love spicy food. Also got their beef brisket which was overall good. The part of the beef used for the brisket was inconsistent but again overall good. Beef bulgogi was definitely a hit as well! Steamed egg hit the craving (ask for sesame oil to drizzle on top). Our server was brought in from a neighboring restaurant but was very kind the whole time! I honestly just wish they had rice paper for future me not on a diet. But the inside is beautiful and unexpected for the location. read more

Honey shrimp, calamari, dumplings, cinnamon pineapple, & that's just some of the sides!! Meats upon meats - way to much to mention!! We tried many of them. This was day 2 of a soft opening. They did a great job! The staff was friendly and had great recommendations. The place was dark and intimate but also had tables for groups and family. I would recommend! read more

This place is so good! We've been at least 3 times already and they've only been open about 2-3 months. All of their meats are marinated so well and there's endless options for your apps and sides that are all included in their all you can eat price. I love the hibachi fried rice as my go to side and no other Korean bbq in Jax has fried rice included so this is a big plus for us! The service is always super fast. Their grills have vents built into them so you don't smell like k bbq when you leave and that's the absolute best because you can go when you're dressed up and not leave smelling like the meats and oils read more

We came in with a party of six and were immediately seated. Shoutout to Andrew our amazing server. Super friendly and outgoing guy, very attentive. We even asked him to put on the World Cup and every tv in sight had it on. The menu had so many options which we really enjoyed. The lamb bulgogi and ribeye bulgogi were delicious. For the side items, i'd recommend the calamari and sweet fried dough! We would definitely come back. read more

There's a kiosk inside by entrance where you input your name, phone and amount of people in your party. The wait was 20 mins (no delay) and we went on Father's Day which we understood it was going to be busy. The server was delayed on the sides that we ordered but again it was a busy day. The food and sides were good, ofc have someone in your group that knows how to cook meats, also on the side of the table there's a knob to control temperature/ turn off when not using it. If you have 6 or more ppl, there'll be a 18% service fee (tip), we still tipped in cash. Do ask to change the grill when getting a new batch of meats... I would come back again. read more

Selina was our server today and definitely took excellent care of our group of four. She was super attentive. Made excellent recommendations and made sure to let us know of the specials served on different days. Safe to say she locked us in as returning customers. Food was super fresh and the K-pop in the background made for awesome ambiance. read more

Gogi Korean BBQ - Korean Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

We arrived on a Sunday evening. There were a couple of people that were sitting when we requested a table for 3, but the wait was about 5 minutes for our table to be ready which is not bad at all. They have an interesting system in place here for kids. If they are under 4ft then it's 1/2 the price, or if they are 3.5ft they are free. Otherwise it's 34.99. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Service was outstanding. I forgot our server's name, but the orders came out very quick. We tried most of the option from the beef and seafood section. The Kalbi "Tender" Steak was ordered twice. Thought it was very good. The fish did not grill very well, but it was tasty. The spicy calamari... I wasn't a fan of. Ventilation for the grill is great. Our clothing was not smokey at all, compared to other KBBQ locations we have been to. As far as sides. We ordered the garlic noodle, steamed egg, fried dough, corn cheese and pineapple. The sides were kind of forgettable, not as good as another AYCE Korean BBQ joint here in Jacksonville. Overall though we enjoyed our meal, and the service. A couple of things that aren't so great but not a dealbreaker is the kid pricing model, soda being flat, and the owner (maybe) offered to grill and cut our proteins but mostly kind of just hovered over the table which made things sort of awkward. I tried to play it off at the end, but next time will kindly decline. read more

We tried garlic beef, three types of pork belly, lamb, chicken thighs. I ate all the pickled radish, we shared, garlic noodles, fried dough, cheese corn and pineapple. We ate it all! It was flavorful, it was a really good experience! We (I) tried the spicy lamb and it was too much for me. The one chilii was too much spice for me, but it was flavorful. The service was impeccable and the manager stopped by several times to check on us. It's a brand new restaurant. It's a great ambiance! read more

On previous visits, the service has always been great, which makes today's experience even more disappointing. My family and I arrived and were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes. We put our name on the waitlist and sat inside the restaurant to wait. About five minutes later, another family came in and added their name to the waitlist as well. Twenty minutes later, the family that arrived after us was seated while we were still waiting. When I asked the hostess what was going on, she explained that "it's the way the tickets printed" and that their table was ready first. That explanation was completely unacceptable. If there is a waitlist, guests should be seated in the order they arrive unless there is a legitimate reason that is clearly communicated. We've dined here multiple times and have always enjoyed our experiences, but the way this situation was handled was frustrating and disappointing. Unfortunately, because of today's experience, we will not be returning. read more

If you're craving Korean BBQ, this is the real deal. The meats were tender and packed with flavor from the marinades, and everything tasted fresh. Portions were just right--not too much, not too little--so it felt satisfying without being overwhelming (it's all-you-can-eat, so you can always order more). The side dishes were delicious with plenty of choices, including popcorn chicken, garlic noodles, and corn cheese. The dessert was phenomenal--sweet fried dough (a must-try). The pineapple cinnamon is the best way to end your meal--fresh pineapple, not from a can. It's definitely worth your money and a place I'd come back to for a great meal and a fun dining experience. read more

Best Korean BBQ in Jacksonville and its not even close. All you can eat but quality you can taste. Their marinated meats are a step beyond everywhere else. Really great flavor and it has really soaked into the cuts. They have many side dishes that I never had before. Finish off with the pineapple for a refreshing cleanse of those korean flavors. Will repeat again and again to try everytbing. read more

Was good, good service and quality of meat was good. I prefer a bit more traditional but my wife prefers Gogi style, will go again

One of the first KBBQ joints to do it right! Too many self-serve low-quality joints have taken over Jax. Here, you order the portions and they will bring it to your table. Cocktails are excellent! One of the distinguishing bits about Gogi are the grills! They have cast-iron grills, which give your meat a better sear. The vents are also built into the grill and ventilate it right off the grill, instead of being overhead. This means you don't leave smelling like KBBQ! We've already come twice during the soft opening and service has been great both times! They are owned by Cajun Crab next door, which we are regulars at. These folks know how to run a restaurant! read more

Goji BBQ in Jacksonville has very good food and excellent customer service. Best Korean BBQ in town! We have tried a couple of different ones but I highly recommend Gogi!!!

Waited 40 minutes to be seated. Had to let hostess know because other parties were being seated ahead of us. Seated at table and waited 15 minutes before we were acknowledged with drinks and ordering. Meats coming out slower. We ate more sides than meats! Not really going to recommend this establishment. Go to the one off Southside where service is 100% better and better quality food portions. read more

Website states the restaurant closes at 10pm. My family and I arrived at 9:10pm only to be told that last call for service is 9pm. The restaurant had a few table with customers. The Manager was rude, and unapologetic. It appears that the Manager prioritized wanting to close the restaurant rather wanting the business. When asked why they state the restaurant hours was to 10pm, the Manager stated that the customer needed to be seated by 9pm to be served until 10pm. We will never go back or recommend this establishment! read more

Food was excellent & service was top notch! I believe Long was her name, she was very attentive.

I love this place! Their food is super good and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend coming! The vibe is great!

Good! The stand out of this Korean bbq spot is all of the appetizers! There was so many things to try! Some of the meat portions were small but since it's all you can eat, you can just order more! Will have to go again to try other items on the menu. read more

New place. Great staff and the food was off the hook. I will be back. Service was a solid 10.

This was a soft open so there are still kinks need to be worked out. Overall the food was good, place was clean, staff was friendly. It's a bit expensive for luch price $35 AYCE for 2 hours but I may be spoiled a bit. I came for kalbi and they bring you 2 pieces. In Hawaii the kalbi place Camelia had all the meats, veggies, soups, rice, etc on large tables where you go and put on your plate then cook it. Here it's different. Price too high mostly but flavors were good read more
