While unfortunately it turns out that German isn't exactly my favourite thing in the world, Lyceum Language School was great. The school is set in a really convenient location for anyone living on the north side of the city. They offer classes at all levels with free trails for beginners at the start of term. Most importantly, class sizes were small (ranging between 4-10 students) so you had plenty of one on one interaction with your teacher. The teachers are all native speakers and it cost $298 for ten 1.5 hour classes. This price is well worth it in return for mastering a new language, or, in my case, realising that your strengths may just lie elsewhere.

Whilst I loved learning a langauge in high school, I sadly gave up learning French until earlier this year. Aiming to complete one of my NYE's resolution, I'm now halfway through my first term of classes at Lyceum Language Centre. I'm enjoying the challenge of French 5 (definitely testing the memory after a four year break!) Judging from my experience so far, Lyceum classes aim to help people learn by speaking the language in class as much as possible. I've been lucky to have a small class size, with only three other students - so lots of personal attention. However, I believe the class size differs from level to level. My teacher, Tifany, is fantastic. Very attentive, patient and happy to revise things if necessary. I found Lyceum to be one of the most affordable language schools around. As an additional bonus, Lyceum have another three locations so I found there were many class times that suited me. The Malvern centre is located upstairs, so keep an eye out of the sign. Whilst I have been very happy at Lyceum so far, I really think it depends on which teacher you have. Bonne chance dans vos études!

It was very informative and you can see what you will expect on the website but it's all in the delivery. The organiser is very well informed about what he teaches and provides a fun, safe and comfortable environment for all who attend. I would recommend all who want to broaden their minds and take a dive into open exploration!

I want expecting to be too into it but ended up learning a lot and appreciated the opportunity to explore subjects like consent and safe touch. As well as the chance to 'play' with some lovely people. These adult only spaces aren't as intimidating as you would think. In fact, it was really relaxed and the facilitators were funny and interesting. I especially liked how queer friendly it was and pro-poly; or whatever relationship style really! If you are a bit more conservative you could go for the heteronormative group events or if you are a 'gender bender' there is a group for you! Couples and singles are welcome as well and as a single female attendee I felt very safe. At the very least, here is an opportunity to spice up your relationship with some new ideas and discussion. Bonus: most classes have a pay as you feel option above the flat rate of about $40

With fast lanes and slower lanes its easy to swim at a comfortable pace without feeling pressured to swim faster than you are comfortable. My kids love the kid pool area and beg to go on the big slide. Can't think of anything else other than: "Hope to see ya here!"

Sizes are varied depending on the intended function, there is a fairly large kiddies pill with two sections, one ankle deep the other varies from able to hip depth and has a slide like a frog, some water sprayers and the like. There is a smaller pool which I see older people lazing in, another fairly shallow pool for kids lessons and a rehab pool for people who seem to have injuries that has a tramp for wheel chair access etc. the main pool it's full size with lanes for fast medium and slow and some lanes for lessons with the balance just to swim. There are life guards on constant lookout and patrol. There is also a huge water slide you can but tickets for when it is operating. All in all an impressive setup. I have seen water aerobics classes going on here also. Lots of parking is available and the place is always busy. They have a cafeteria, lots of change rooms and toilets. Lockers tables and chairs, sports medicine clinic, various exercise classes and a creche. of course there is a gymnasium as well. Do I think the swimming side of things getsa big two thumbs up from me.

What I discovered was missing was the knowledge and the education around how I could have a deeper relationship with myself. Sounds a little cliche right but the truth is, I didn't know how to love me. Growing up in an environment where I had to take care of other peoples needs before my own, no one really taught me that I had myself to take care of too. Coaching and the Coaching Institute helped me re-parent myself. They taught me the manual to my mind, they taught me about my emotions and as a result of bringing unconscious patters of destruction to my conscious awareness, I have no gained more choices and deep sense of strength that I didn't even know could be cultivated within me. The trainers are all so warm, caring and meet me where I am at with no judgement. I've never found a school or tribe who gave so much love and chocolate away and for once in my life I finally feel like I belong and I am home. Thank you TCI for all that you do and helping me deepen my connection with life, with myself and the people I love. I will be forever grateful for the changes I have witnessed within me and I have you to thank you it. We have one life and no one really knows what will happen when we leave this planet so we better make the most of what we have, take responsibility for ourselves and make sure we leave the world a better place when we go. They also offer free counseling. This is something unheard of in the USA -- no wonder people are much happier here in Australia! This is a non-profit center organized by the Uniting Church but you don't have to have any specific religion to take part in the activities and events here. It is located below the YMCA and near the Endeavour Hills library. Yearly fee is only $10 and even cheaper if you are concession (student discount). The only thing I dislike is the office hours are very limited. However, the centre is still open in the evenings for various classes. The woman at the front is extremely helpful, going the extra mile to help me with my questions. Definitely don't take a place like this for granted!
