Entertaining a rather unrealistic fantasy of moving to Berlin and just hanging out and being cool, I took a term long German language course at the Lyceum in Fitzroy North.
While unfortunately it turns out that German isn't exactly my favourite thing in the world, Lyceum Language School was great. The school is set in a really convenient location for anyone living on the north side of the city. They offer classes at all levels with free trails for beginners at the start of term.
Most importantly, class sizes were small (ranging between 4-10 students) so you had plenty of one on one interaction with your teacher. The teachers are all native speakers and it cost $298 for ten 1.5 hour classes.
This price is well worth it in return for mastering a new language, or, in my case, realising that your strengths may just lie elsewhere. read more
