Extremely disappointed with Goemans and their absolutely unacceptable customer service. I have never dealt with a company that has made something as simple as purchasing and receiving a washing machine this frustrating. To start, the delivery time was completely unreliable. The delivery kept getting pushed later and later into the day, hours beyond the time window I was given. That alone was incredibly frustrating, but unfortunately, that was only the beginning. We purchased a brand-new washing machine, only to discover that it made an absolutely HORRIBLE noise during the spin cycle. And when I say horrible, I mean you could hear this machine two floors away. It was so loud and obnoxious that there was clearly something wrong with it. I contacted Goemans and was initially told I would have to wait an entire week just to have someone come and look at a brand-new appliance. After multiple phone calls and considerable persistence on my part and my husband, they finally managed to arrange someone to come on the weekend. Three technicians came out. I specifically explained the noise and told them that the problem occurred during the spin cycle. Did they wait for the spin cycle to happen? No. They looked at the machine, let it run to a small spin cycle apparently decided everything was fine, and left. I wish I could say I was surprised. As their vehicle was literally pulling away from my house, the washing machine went straight back into the same obnoxious, ridiculously loud spin cycle. At this point, I called their service number again, expecting someone to actually help resolve the problem. Instead, I was told that they couldn't get in touch with the repair or delivery drivers and that I would have to make ANOTHER appointment for the following week. They also would not pass me along to a supervisor or give a name of a supervisor. Who's running this ridiculousness??? This isn't customer service. This is making the customer do all of the work while Goemans passes the problem from one department to another. The amount of time, effort and frustration I have had to put into resolving a problem with an appliance that should have worked properly when I bought it is completely unacceptable. Goemans needs to seriously reconsider what they consider to be customer service. Because from my experience, it has been some of the worst service I have encountered. I should not have to repeatedly call, chase appointments, explain the same problem over and over, and essentially prove that my brand-new washing machine is defective. If you're considering purchasing from Goemans, think twice about what happens AFTER they take your money. The sale may be easy, but apparently getting help when something goes wrong is an entirely different story. I hate that I have to even give one star. Very disappointed! And really for a savings of $30! read more

Easy to buy from, but customer support is awful. Very limited hours and no care for the customer experience. We even wasted money on the extended warranty. We bought a "top of the line" washing machine and has been nothing but problems literally from day one. Plan on taking multiple days off work for their delivery and repair people to delay, come late, not fix the problem and leave without confirming things work. Why are we dealing with this for a brand new washing machine? We are just trying to return it and get a refund at this point but no luck so far. Be warned! read more

Got a really good deal and the salesman was nice. Got a follow up call after it was delivered, I appreciated that.

Extremely disappointed with your Electrolux wall oven. I spent close to 20k on appliances for my kitchen..........big mistake!!! 4 months into using them the finish on my wall oven is coming off because of the heat the oven produces and lets out in the middle of the appliance, Goemans offered me $100 to go away but I will never buy Electrolux products again or anything from Goemans. You guys need to stand behind your product. The oven lets heat out of the middle of the appliance, the finish came off the wall oven , that is not under my control, your product is flawed. What a shame, asking people to spend their hard earned money for quality appliances yet not standing behind their products, lesson learned. #goemans #Electrolux read more

We recently purchased a floor model dishwasher from the Whitby location. I purchased the unit knowing it was non-refundable, but was covered under the manufacturer's warranty. I also purchased additional warranty coverage. I have no issues with any of the service I received when purchasing the dishwasher. Sales staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. However, when we picked the dishwasher up from their store, their salesman dropped the unit while bringing it to our van. The salesman does not deny the drop. This drop broke the water pump, which we didn't realize until we installed it and tried a test run. Multiple calls to head office have only resulted in the response 'unfortunately you are covered under the manufacturer's warranty only, we cannot allow you to return this as it was final sale". The service from the manufacturer has been slow, resulting in us sitting with an unusable dishwasher since September 4th. Fingers crossed the dishwasher works after the service visit scheduled for this Saturday, October 9th. The integrity of this business is abhorable. Final sale should not apply to an item broken by the store after purchase. A direct quote from their website: "40 years have taught us that great customer service begins and ends with one universal truth - treat customers the way you would like to be treated." does not hold up to how customers are actually treated. Do not waste your money on a company that does not treat customers in a fair and equitable manner. read more

Laziest sales staff. Three sales clerks playing on their phone as we walked in. Not one lifted their head to greet us as we entered. We spent 15 minutes or more in the store looking at the stainless steel ranges and not one got out of their seats to come over to help. As we left, one stared at us but never said a word. Hopefully they have quotas to make so management can see how motivated they are. This is why retail stores are closing down. The hired help they employ are not helpful. Might as well sell beds in this store. That is where you will find the sales people. Asleep. read more

My parents recently bought a washer from this company. They talked with a sales person named Debbie Pearce. She assured my parents that everything would be taken care of and to not worry. On day of delivery two delivery men came and just dropped off the washer with a grunt and made me sign some email. They popped the machine down didn't install the machine and or put it on the pedestal which was also purchased. We called the store and now they want $271 just to put the washer on the pedestal. We are having difficulty lifting the machine and putting it on ourselves. Just goes to show you how the sales people here will say anything just to get a sale... read more

If I can give then less than a star i would have. This is the worst ever appliances store I went to. We went to look at subzero appliance for our new renovation kitchen project. While looking at the appliances a sales person approached us and we we start asking about subzero stove and fridges. The first thing he said " you know that they are expensive" we said yes we know. Then he took us to check one of models, when I started to ask questions He Said again this is expensive piece, which I said again I know that. He kept mentioning expensive several time that I started to get irritated and I Stooped him and said " can you tell us more about the pros, cons and specifications than telling us it is expensive" he started to get mad at us and became rude. I couldn't go any longer neither my husband and we left store very upset with the salesman. No wonder that their reviews are very bad. The management should choose better salesmen than what they currently have if they want to stay in business. Never going to buy anything from Their stores. read more

This is one of the worst possible buying experiences ever. I purchased a dishwasher online, and they told me it was going to be a month for delivery. 2 months later , they finally tell me that it is in store. When I book the pick up , they tell me it is not in their warehouse. I called back to cancel the order , and they tell me that it is in another location. I call them and it wasn't' there either , and that they have 80 people waiting for these model, and that it will not be arriving for another 2 months. Customer service people don't know anything, slow, and can't figure anything out . Even to cancel the order it took me over 30 minutes of my time. They advertise items that they can't sell. Do not buy from this company , Period! read more
