They also made sure to make a system to where every time we order, we are guessing because they want us to order a day earlier. Also available: cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, peaches, radishes, cauliflower, plums, celery, cantaloupe, green beans, eggplant, garlic, jalapeno peppers. Much, much more. I don't know any place where you can get half a seedless watermelon. But they had a half ready for my girlfriend -- all wrapped up -- and it was beautiful. It comes from Sikeston. The folks are so friendly and personable, as are the patrons. The address is Delmar, but the open-air market is really behind the shops on Delmar along the huge parking lot that spans east from Cicero's for a couple blocks. It's adjacent to Midtown Farmers Market.

The guys/gals are so helpful and they can be…read morequite humorous and good-natured; very important if you're taking your time looking at all the vegetables and fruits. hey, i take my own pretty time. this last week, i was able to get corn (3 for $1, and apparently passed the mom's test when she tasted them), green peppers (big ones for 2 for $1), rather large bunches of garlic (3 for $1), large cucumbers (2 for $1), and lemons (5 for $1). i was bummed because they sold out of red onions (i went in early Fri. afternoon) and sometimes the chalk writing above the stalls can be too smudged to read; ergo, the 4-star rating. don't worry: i'm sure i'll upgrade to 5 when they ALWAYS have what i need! alerted by one of the guys, they try to buy locally from farmers as best as they can, a (+) for me. suggestion: bring your own reusable bags, so it saves on using the skimpy brown bags provided, it's easier to gather your buys, and it's more gentle on the environment!

There are various vendors that sell locally prepared products and locally grown produce, flowers, mushrooms, and honey. There is often times a food truck/beverage truck as well. I bought some fresh cucumbers, asparagus and granola. The granola was delicious and savory. They offered samples to try before buying. There was a Boba food truck out Boca Boba, it was absolutely delicious and refreshing for this sweltering hot day!

The market had live music, houseplants for sale, fresh produce, jewelry, lotion, art and several ethnic food vendors including vegetarian options. The day we went, we were in the throughs of a heatwave so it was killer but we visited a cute Mexican stand to get an agua fresca and lemonade, along with nachos. They are the only Mexican food stand AND they only take cash, but it was so good. There was also another stand we saw later on that sold lemonades with more flavor options. There were also 3 produce stands, and plant stand, and a catering company. If you have little ones with you, they have a booth for the kids to color and craft. Very cute if you're in the area!

I would've said the same until I realized that the good folks at the Bottleworks allow the farmers to sell their goods indoors during the chillier, off-season months. Having had lovely weather earlier this week, they decided to hold the market outdoors this morning, which, in my opinion, was still a bit too early. Brrrr! But, there was hot coffee and other belly-warming goods on hand, so all was well. Cheery, freshly-cut Spring daffodils waved at us as we checked out the farmers' wares. Farm fresh eggs! Grass-fed beef! Fresh pasta! Amazing goat cheese! Overwintered spinach and fresh arugula and kale! Baked goods, jams & jellies and all sorts of things to make tummies happy! I love farmers markets and the Maplewood one is pretty great. Even better when it's warm and sunny outside, because then the harvest is particularly diverse and bountiful. Once it's growing season and the market is in full-swing, I recommend showing up when the market opens. Lines will already be forming. And I *will* elbow my way through the crowd for a few pints of Biver Farms strawberries.

The supermarket is organized extremely well, and I had no problems finding the sections I wanted to. The selection is fantastic, and I probably found too much haha. The chutney area in general had a very nice selection! The employees were very nice and helpful. I was happy with the couple I talked to, and the transaction at the register went super smoothly. My items were packaged well and well-separated to make the trip home easier (like frozen with frozen, pantry items, etc.) and easier to put them away. Speaking of frozen, I have a list for the next time I come here because so much looks so good! I'm super happy with this supermarket, and I can't wait to come back! There are restaurants in the strip mall too that I MUST try!

The store seems to be a converted grocery store that they are still filling vs most Asian markets are overflowing. A few shelves are still empty, but workers are stocking the shelves on this late Saturday evening. Rice, seasoning, teas and nuts were there, but so was fruit and vegetables. Including a tray of black berries for $0.99. A wall of frozen foods are available behind the produce. This includes frozen snacks for a $1.99 quick grab. I will return.

I do not recommend a field trip here with those big yellow school busses, maybe smaller buses. Parking is very limited and the buses had a hard time navigating tight corners. Price is $13 per peson to enter (which includes a $2 voucher to purchase items). Waivers are required for everyone. The kids had a ball, that's for sure. I will admit, I couldn't help but to compare them to Eckers. They have apple picking and pumpkin patch, hay ride, goat feeding, and mini ziplining. Kids had fun, that I'm happy about. Parents shouldn't have to pay $13 to watch their children play. That's my person opinion. I can understand, paying for the hay ride and other items purchased. On the weekend there's a concession stand. I didn't get to try it. There's also a market. I might stop by just to grab some apple butter one day.
