A no-frills produce stand, with a variety of in-season produce. But this place stands out for the friendly shopkeepers and the spice selection is enormous! Literally, an entire corner of the store is dedicated to various seasonings and dried herbs. And, they even pre-mix their own seasoning mixes like Carribean Jerk and Applewood Smoke Rub. Also, if you are looking for specialty items, there is a good chance you could find it here. For instance, I've been hearing a lot about chia seeds, but I had no idea where I could find them. Lo and behold, I got a bag full here, and you can find coconut flakes, various dried fruits and nuts, specialty oils, local honey, salsas, and dressings. Last visit we picked so many that we still have two jars of preserves in our freezer... great flavor on toast, waffles, pancakes. And the strawberries are the most flavorful we've enjoyed. Strawberries so good you'll be tempted to never buy another one at the store ever again... red throughout... so good... and then your wonderful wife and daughter make jars and jars and jars of strawberry jam and you get to enjoy for months to go. Blackberries... so good. Peaches... some picked early for July 4... still good... looking forward to the crop's arrival in a couple weeks. Pick-your-own green beans. And the sunflower patch... thousands of sunflowers... some just a lighter color of yellow; others a deeper combination of oranges and reds... and the bumblebees and butterflies and dragonflies. And pickles... and sweet corn relish... and peach relish... and Caesar's salad dressing and southern peach vinaigrette dressing... and honey and creamed honey... and lettuce. The prices are somewhere between Aldi and Schnucks, depending on the item. The produce was fresh, and some of the brands appear similar to what is in other grocery stores. There is a wide variety of produce, as the name suggests. The workers are friendly, and they take credit. It's great to have another option for fresh fruit and vegetables in Eureka!
