So a guy from the company came out, Renee, to look at the yard while I was at work. He then texted me and asked if I could do $90 for the first cut and $50 every time after. I said no, I can not do that, it's too high of a price for me. And then he offered $80 the first cut, I said, no thank you I'm sorry I can't do h at. My yard isn't huge. And the back has hardly any grass. It's a little high, but being that it really isn't much yard at all AND I used to do lawn maintenance so I know it will only take 10-15 minutes at most. So not 20 minutes after that I get a call from I guess the owner of the company. Saying that "just a heads up, but you should let us know if you're going to hire another company" I said I let Renee know I was price shopping and that price is too high for me. He said "no it's not!" I said umm yes. It is. I said it may not be too high for you but it's too high for me. And he continued to lecture me as it having them out to quote my yard was such an inconvenience. He sure didn't earn my business. However, after they were bought out by a larger national grass care business, the quality of their lawn care became useless. After getting a letter from the HOA about the dead spots in the yard, I realized it was time to find a new company. I decided to give Pestology a try. I spoke with Mr. Joseph Walker. I described the issue and asked if he thought that Pestology could correct it. He drove to my home and assured me they could fix the issue. I also learned that if I set up auto-pay, the first month would be free. They were hired. About a week later, Bryan came to treat the lawn. Bryan is very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He started with the dead spots in the grass. In the problem area, he put a high-quality dirt mix. This was above and beyond what I expected. Bryan treated the problem area and the rest of the yard with a liquid and granual fertilizer. He also treated the weeds that were starting in the dead areas. Bryan followed up 2 weeks after the initial treatment to check the change. The yard looked better than the work the previous company tried for over a year to do. The change has been incredible. At the 2 week recheck, he treated the yard again. In another 2 weeks, we are going to get the regular lawn treatment. The grass is now a dark green color. I can't believe what an improvement there has been with my lawn because of Pestology. I could not recommend them more highly. They fix problems and follow-up!!!

AVOID THESE FOLKS! Treeco destroyed my shed and never even responded to my calls and emails…read more The next door neighbors contracted Treeco to remove their dead sweetgum which hung over the property line and my shed. The crew showed up and were not even told ahead of time the tree was dead and unstable. They dropped a large limb and crushed the shed. The crew cleaned it up as best they could, but Treeco's owner ignored the photos and all of my attempts to follow up. Thank goodness no one was hurt and this was not someone's house. Too small for an insurance claim or small claims court suit, so the owner displayed how much integrity he has by walking away. (Also, the homeowner next door who paid Treeco said they never completed removing all of the trunk and stump pieces, as they had promised.) If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many are two pictures worth?

A few weeks ago, we selected Live Aloha to remove and install three trees on our investment…read moreproperty in St. Augustine. We are disappointed how things turned out. While the trees appear to still be alive and doing satisfactorily, an aspect of the installation did not go as planned. After they work was done, Live Aloha was tasked to make sure that the automatic sprinkler system was properly set. This appears to not have happened. Shortly after installation, we began to get complaints from the HOA that the system was watering multiple times a day and far more times per week than allowed by local statute. It seems that the neighbors were complaining to the HOA about this. We sent our property manager to the location and she confirmed the complaints and the situation with the HOA. Without altering the settings, our property manager was instructed to turn off the system which she did. We then hired an irrigation company to assess the situation without telling them of any prior work. Independently they confirmed that the system had been set improperly both in number of days per week and times per day. We then contacted the neighbors and HOA ourselves and heard multiple reports confirming the situation, indeed, the system had been running far more than needed, so much so that the bill went from about $49 the prior month to approximately $1285! We approached Live Aloha only to be told that they had set the system properly and it must be something else. So far our property manager, the independent contractor and the neighbors' observations contradict that. We have retained a local attorney who is drafting our small claims complaint and is advising us. We encourage Live Aloha to review its response to us. Merced Conference Center
