I'm a bit of a sucker for a bargain and this place is where bargains live. As it goes with…read morebargains, there's a fair amount of risk involved and this place is no exception to that. Having purchased a few things here over the years however, I've only had one bad experience and it was more to do with a design fault than anything the shop could help with. They did not handle the situation well though and I was left with a series of malfunctioning kettles -- it's the ultimate frustration not being able to boil water for your tea in the morning. That said, all the other appliances I've picked up from here have been ace. And this place will redefine the meaning of cheap. If you're moving house or just need a sexy new matching toaster and kettle set this is the place. Don't expect any kind of service though, they ain't big on that.

If only there was a kitchen fitting store next door to this place, my life would be complete. You…read moresee, my cupboards and kitchen bench tops are bursting full of paraphernalia that I have purchased from (big deep breath) the Breville, Kambrook, Phillips Factory Outlet Store - and I am dearly in need of some new kitchen storage space to put all this wonderful stuff. I probably don't need to explain what they sell here as the name really does say it all. But if you are after any of these brands and more at cheap cheap prices this place is well worth a look. It is a factory outlet - so it is advisable to keep your receipt in case something is faulty. Everything is, of course, tested before it gets to the store so this should never (and never has been for me) be the case. But there is the occasional item that has wonky legs, for example, or has a tiny scratch on it. In my view they are probably going to get all scratched up etc., when I try and shove them into my already overloaded cupboards. Someone please open that kitchen design shop next door!

I was looking for a second TV forth bedroom when I came across Kogan and even though I had my mind…read moreset on a well known brand I decided to give 'the Aussie brand a go' after checking for specs and price. I bought a 32 inch LED TV with PVR and DVD blind (Kogan has no showroom or anywhere where you can see the product before you buy) and it was promptly delivered to me. When I received the TV it came with a damaged stand. I took a picture of the stand and sent it to Kogan who promptly sent me a new stand. I bought the TV in May but last month the picture just died. All I got was awhile flickering screen of which I took a video and sent it off to the Kogan support team. I was asked to try some simple diagnostics which did not work. I was then asked to put the TV back in it's original packing (which by now was recycled) and then have it ready for a courier to pick up. Since I did have any packing and was happy to drive unto 50 ams to hand over the TV I was asked to leave the TV to Kogan's Sydney repairer in Tempe. I dropped the TV off . It's now been 12 days since I handed the TV over and I am still waiting for it to be fixed. Moreover I have had to chase up what's happening instead of Kogan coming back to me. Kogan a good product at a great rate but with a lot to be desired in terms of service.

Yet another place I've been to, whilst on my quest for a new clothes dryer. I was in here…read morerecently, just having a look around. Didn't have to wait long for a staff member to come and ask if I needed any help. He was really quite nice, and when I said that I was just browsing, he left me alone. I like that. I hate pushy sales people. Although I didn't buy my dryer here, the prices looked alright. Not cheap, but not overly expensive. They've got a good range of other appliances, too.

Terrible service, I have had to chase Maria I don't know how many times just for a stupid kettle…read more She claimed my 'sale' from an email query, so that she gets the commission and that nobody else could deal with me, then ignored messages and emails, and worst of all, told lies. I've had to chase literally her the whole way. I had to phone three times, then email again just to place the order. Because nobody else was allowed to 'take her sale'. Really, I should have realised then what I was in for. Being a customer shouldn't be hard work. If the small sale of a ($250) kettle isn't worth your time, let someone else take it, don't hoover up the online contacts. She finally phoned me last week to say it is being sent. Then I find out today, after waiting yet another week before chasing her AGAIN, that it was actually only sent an hour ago. It's now been over a month since I paid for it and it's still not here. She initially said it would be around 10 days. I can't speak for anyone else there, but I definitely would never deal with her again. She is dishonest and I definitely do not recommend buying anything through her. Edit to acknowledge response from owner: Really? So have you seen all the emails. May 21 Send online query as to stock availability. Maria responds by email and leaves voicemail saying can get stock and please call. May 22 Phoned three times. No return call. Staff answering phone 'not allowed' to assist. I email again asking for contact. May 23 Phone order placed. Payment taken. ETA 10 days. May 28 I emailed asking for notification of dispatch with tracking number - IGNORED. June 3 I phoned for update. Promised return call. It never came. June 5 I emailed AGAIN asking for update, questioned lack of response to phone and email. Requested receipt for payment. June 5 reply - Was advised of new ETA the following week. No explanation for lack of response to phone or email messages, and no receipt. June 13 - I email chasing up AGAIN as was end of week and had heard nothing. June 13 reply - Given another new ETA of June 16. June 16 - voicemail from Maria saying it has arrived and will be sent June 17. June 23 I email asking for tracking number seeing as has still not arrived. June 23 - reply with a tracking number revealing that had been only dispatched one hour prior. June 23 I reply very angrily, as it had not even been sent until being chased up AGAIN. Maria responds to email and trips on her lies, saying it didn't come until 18th (see voicemail for June 16). I have had to chase her on no fewer than five occasions. I have been lied to. I still don't have my receipt, nor my kettle. I'm sure even you can see the multitude of failures to deliver customer service here.
