Always bustling on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Fun Day, Pickles has a great staff of friendly, small-town folks. They hustle! Food comes out timely, and is good quality. We had a combo plate with fried mushrooms, pickles, and corn nuggets. It's all frozen stuff, but good quality. My wife had the French Dip sandwich and loved it (although she never dips her sandwich... wtf). I had the Patty Melt. It was cooked well on marble rye and was delicious. Many of the restaurants here in town are closed on Mondays, so we were glad there was a spot open and this place had pretty good reviews. We would've popped for the pizza because it looked amazing, but neither of us can eat such thick crust pizza anymore and not regret it so we went for the Mexican options My husband ordered the super chicken burrito, which basically has two big scoops of chicken and fillings and he said it was very good I just went for a small taco salad with chicken to keep it late tonight. For a small taco salad, there was a lot of food in that bowl. We also appreciate the amazing food and service. Our waitress was friendly and patient as she took and delivered 16 drink orders. The pizza was outstanding. I had both the Taco and the Special. My group and I entered the restaurant around 5 PM and were immediately seated at a table. The first thing that came to mind when viewing the interior was pure nostalgia from my childhood. The restaurant exists within a Time Machine in the best way possible. You don't need frills when the food is this good. Speaking of the food, our group got a sampler platter to start with. I tried a bit of everything. The onion rings and cheese curds both drew rave reviews. The fried sweet corn got a mixed reaction, but I quite enjoyed it. The pizza menu allows for a lot of creative thinking with the different sizes. Most of our group got their own mini pizzas. The three people who tried that reported that they were all delicious and a perfect size for one person. My friend and I decided to split a large pepperoni, sausage and Canadian bacon pizza. It. Was. Amazing! Let's start with the crust. It was thin and had a nice crunch to it. My favorite bites were the ones where the pizza was slightly more done. I loved the thickness of the crust. The sauce was delicious, the pepperoni solid, and the Canadian bacon good. But the real star was the sausage. It had a little bit of a bite, in a spicy way, that was fantastic and left you craving more. We should've had plenty of leftovers, but my friend and I both decided it was too good to not eat the whole thing right then. The wait staff was very attentive and we were even blessed with a visit from the owner to check on how our meal was. A very nice touch.
