I had the pleasure of visiting Leon's Pizza for the first time last night. I will not wait long to try it again. My group and I entered the restaurant around 5 PM and were immediately seated at a table. The first thing that came to mind when viewing the interior was pure nostalgia from my childhood. The restaurant exists within a Time Machine in the best way possible. You don't need frills when the food is this good. Speaking of the food, our group got a sampler platter to start with. I tried a bit of everything. The onion rings and cheese curds both drew rave reviews. The fried sweet corn got a mixed reaction, but I quite enjoyed it. The pizza menu allows for a lot of creative thinking with the different sizes. Most of our group got their own mini pizzas. The three people who tried that reported that they were all delicious and a perfect size for one person. My friend and I decided to split a large pepperoni, sausage and Canadian bacon pizza. It. Was. Amazing! Let's start with the crust. It was thin and had a nice crunch to it. My favorite bites were the ones where the pizza was slightly more done. I loved the thickness of the crust. The sauce was delicious, the pepperoni solid, and the Canadian bacon good. But the real star was the sausage. It had a little bit of a bite, in a spicy way, that was fantastic and left you craving more. We should've had plenty of leftovers, but my friend and I both decided it was too good to not eat the whole thing right then. The wait staff was very attentive and we were even blessed with a visit from the owner to check on how our meal was. A very nice touch. Fantastic little small town pizza shop. SUPER cheap for the quality. I'm not sure what the competition is like in the area, but this pizza would cost A LOT more in Northern Idaho. The only downside (doesn't impact my review) was that the setup was kind of weird. Walking through tables of people eating to pay for your pizza didn't really make sense to me and might not be super enjoyable to eat when they're busy- but maybe they're so cheap for how good they are because they're in a strange building. If I'm hungry when I pass through this town again, I will DEFINITELY stop here. read more

I fly in from california just to eat this pizza. And see the family, but mostly for the pizza.

Leon's has always been the pizza place I dream about. That part of my hometown that I miss more than anything else. Maybe I just had it too high up on a pedestal in my memories. I'm not back in the area often, but when I am, a stop at Leon's is on my list. The last time was in May 2016 It's now a childhood and teenage memory that is fully tarnished. I won't be back to Leon's. The pizza was ok, not as good as it was even 3 years ago. Fewer toppings and not as flavorful as I remember. I'm wishing I'd gone with the chicken this time as it also used to be the broasted chicken of my dreams. My friend tried a pizza burger expecting a burger with pizza toppings. I'd long since forgotten what the pizza burger really was. Pros: The place was as clean. The artwork was amazing. Pizza was decent. Cons: The service was very slow. Unexcusably slow when we watched all of the locals being served quickly while we had a very long wait. There were a lot of flies. The seating setup was odd, I'm not a small person and they had tables set up in front of the door that made it difficult to navigate in and out of the restaurant. A client of mine from work has been imploring me to try Leon's when I go back to my bf's hometown for awhile now, so it was no surprise that I made this one of my first stops while in Webster City, IA. Leon's (like pretty much all places in Webster) is very relaxed and has that small town-everybody knows everybody vibe to it. We were seated immediately and my boyfriend was called by name. I got the broasted fish with broasted potatoes. The fish was very moist and flaky and the breading was perfectly crispy. I liked that there was more fish than breading. The potatoes were probably my favorite part of my food vacation while in Iowa. They were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. They were SO good. The beau got the Farmer burger. It is a hamburger patty topped with a breaded pork loin. OMG! I am glad that I don't know of any places in Denver that serve up this combination as I would be 400 pounds easily. While I did not try their pizza, I hear it is write-home-about quality. I will definitely be making a stop (or twelve) the next time I am in Iowa. I wonder how much they would charge to deliver to Denver? read more

Didn't like the smell of oil ? That leaves on your clothes when you leave there .. it's a great pizza place or Friday night fish but had the spaghetti once and thought I could have made better at home .. hit and miss place. read more

We stopped in Webster city on a road trip for dinner and it was the best meal we had on our trip! The pizza was home style and "real".. Plus they put pickles on their cheeseburger pizza! They also had sandwiches , pasta, etc. The staff was friendly ... My only issue is they talked openly about things that could have offended some people and wasn't very professional . read more

Leon's Pizza has everything you'd one in it. from hand tossed home made pizza, to spaghetti or a burger. Their food isn't to bad, has VERY friendly staff, and even a few video games to keep the kids busy. I'd rate this a 4/5 mainly because the food isn't nearly as good as it should be for the price. thats just my opinion. other then that, if the owner is there (Leon) he'd go around to all the table and ask you how everything is and even talk to you for a while if you want. No where that I've ever been has the owner come by and asked you how everything is going. read more

Having been here and had the pizza twice now, I can certainly say I'm a fan. Is this the end all be all of pies? No...absolutely not....but here is what it is: A good old greasy small town pizza place worth the stop if you are in the area. The decor is quite drab and you may slip on the occasional stray piece of sausage on the floor, but the pies are cheap and good. 'Nuff said. read more

I came from Chandler, AZ and had a family gathering. There were 10 of us, they were very accommodating, the pizza was great, the waitress was incredible and we had a great time. I don't know really what to say other then I came to Webster City with my job not really able to get out and dine I decided to order a pizza was recommended to eat at Leon's decided to order a pizza was told 35 minute wait, no problem 1 hour 45 minutes later I decided to call and ask if there was a problem? The answer I got was sorry sir we got really busy after you called and really not my problem first come first serve general rule. Any way 1 hour 45 minutes later pizza was delivered delivery person says to me I hope you're not as big as an A-- hole as the last person I just delivered too. Wow!!!! Ordered from here tonight, a group of 6 of us staying at a hotel and have had Leon's before so decided we would order again. Went online to look at the menu and decided what we ordered. Called in and they said about 45 minutes, fine we had time. After looking at the price they charged my card, I called back and inquired about the pricing. I told them we had gone back online and the prices didn't add up. It was over $20.00 more than it should be. I was informed by the first girl that the prices online are never right. Then she passed me on to someone else. I explained to them, then was passed on to Leon. He told me that he didn't know where I got the prices, but those were not right. I told him where I got it and he said, whatever just pay what you think it should be. He handed the phone back to his wife and she said, call me back with what you think it should be. I refigured and called back. The wife answered the phone and then handed it to her daughter. I explained to her and she said you can't just google Leon's pizza and take that menu. Google makes up their own menus and prices. Those are not our prices. She asked if I would screenshot what I had and I said yes, she said I will figure up what I come up with. Then I aske her if the card had been charged yet. She said yes, but she was more than happy to credit and cancel the order. I said will you please do that. She said yes, then the mom got on the phone and said I hope you're happy and hung up on me!!! I will NEVER go back there again, or recommend this place to anyone!!!! read more

Pizza was good, but the chicken and Hamburgers were ok, and the beer was warm. Took forever to get our food, must of been over 45 minutes after ordering. Our waitress never refilled our drinks and payed more attention to people she knew. But looking at other reviews online and yelp, I will say it has been clean and kept up.
