They are closed to dine-in customers currently, but they handle carry-out very well. Just call your order in and pay by phone with your card. Then pick-up your packaged order in the bag with your number on it in their lobby. I actually stay in Story City when in the area and I drive to Eldora from my place of work and then back to Story City to my hotel to enjoy this meal. It is still pretty hot when I get there, but I can always warm it in the microwave if it needs it. That drive tells you something about how much I like their food. I regularly order Hunan Chicken, extra spicy. I have also ordered Chicken with Black Bean sauce also extra spicy, which turns out to be slightly sweet for me, so I think I will stick with the Hunan version. Extra spicy is pleasantly spicy, but not enough for me, so I sprinkle on more crushed red. I cannot get Chinese that I like this well close by me in St Louis. I would eat here weekly if I could. Eldora is fortunate to have this restaurant and I hope it is appreciated. I look forward to being back in the area and will plan my trip to include one meal from Panda One.

However, most of the dishes were lacking flavor and tasted pretty bland. One major downside for me was the ice cream area. The scoops are shared by everyone and are only sitting in a container of water between uses instead of being washed or sanitized. Considering how many people do not wash their hands after using the restroom, I was uncomfortable using a community scoop that everyone touches, so I skipped the ice cream entirely. Overall, it's a decent place to fill up on food, but the flavor and sanitation concerns keep it from being somewhere I would highly recommend.
