Love this place. My teenage granddaughter wanted to go, and we had a nice time shopping there. Lots of lovely things!

I have no idea what that means, but they have good sandwiches. What to get: A Prosciutto sandwich with Fresh Mozzarella added, maybe What else: Expect an upcharge to add Fresh Mozz How to improve: Don't upcharge so much for Fresh Mozz (sigh) Nick's is a little run-down grocery store which sort-of feels like walking into a check-cashing shop or an urban convenience store that just happens to have a wonderful old-school NY-NJ style Italian deli inside. The deli itself is great, and makes a lot of awesome sandwiches for decent prices. As I said, I don't like the weird upcharges for certain ingredients, but so be it. It makes the prices of a sandwich soar from decent to ridiculous. The sandwiches aren't altogether authentic Italian NY-NJ style, but they are very good. I loved the parts of it that I had fresh, however when I had the rest of the sandwich a little later it had gotten extremely squidgy and soggy because they use a regular loaf of bread rather than anythng hard or Italian. Again, makes it less authentic but still very tasty. Despite these remarks, I haven't had a sandwich this good in the Richmond area before, so you should give it a try. And if it were Niche Produce, then they'd only sell unusual and hard to get hipster vegetables and sandwiches. Whereas if it wer Nix Produce, it would close down soon. And if it were Knickers Produce then I would have torn them down a lot more quickly and intensely than I did in this review.

Many dollars later, we were excited to leave with some amazing "Chillaxing" tea, and bags of fun spices. The staff were super helpful. They approached customers right away. They offered many helpful tips for the types of teas I wanted. I hope that many people come in just to take in the mellow scents and fun spices.

The walk-in was inviting, and the space wasn't a bunch of smells that would you choke. It was clean, staff friendly, and knowledgeable. Staff gave the best suggestions! I ordered the Pineapple Paradise cold to-go and stood at the register to drink it was debating to get another....... my exact order: Pineapple Paradise cold with cane sugar medium ( perfect amount of sweet to not overpower the flavor of the tea. I walked around and was in spice heaven with entree packs. This means that if you wanted to try butter chicken at home, the spice pack had all the things you needed minus the sauce, chicken, and rice.....it will be one of this weeks dinner. Now things I saw, chocolate salt, black salt, various paprika, garlic blends....... You can purchase a bag or bottle, the bottle you can get a refill if you bring it back in, I am sure at a fee. Would I go back absolutely, going tomorrow for the Pineapple Paradise tea, taking babe with me too. Excited!!!!

Oh, and the décor is very nice! I personally really like the Earl Grey Spring & Mulberry date-sweetened chocolate. Of course, the packaging is so pretty it's hard to separate that from the taste and texture, too .... The honeys here are like none other I've had before! The absolute cutest little honey bears I've ever seen! There's one raw honey in a glass jar that's the only chewy honey I've ever tasted -- what a treat to eat a spoonful of that plain, direct from the jar, mmm! (I didn't just eat it for the taste or texture, though -- I started to eat it because I'd read about the great health benefits of honey!) I really really enjoy the smokiness of the Russian Caravan. Plus, it's fun to research, read and find out about such things as how this rather unique tea flavour came about -- that it was the result of actual campfire smoke flavouring the tea in the first place while travelling across Russia way-back-when that is now encapsulated in this oh-so-tasty tea! Tea is a really great gateway to learning about various cultures and world history! Maybe it's his-tea-ry! Persian Rose Garden tea is splendid -- mellow and rich, smooth, calming (I'm not saying it's medicinally calming, but rather that it's evocative of a certain atmosphere that may make you feel a certain way if you tune into it.) Turmeric ginger is very nice, too .... Overall, aesthetically beautiful, palate-pleasing place! Highly recommended!
