He and his staff have taken the time to sit and really listen to my needs and even took me in for outpatient treatment the very next day after my very first visit. Regular injections from other doctors were extremely painful for me but Dr Aaron made sure that I did not have to go through that pain again and he didn't want me to have to wait in pain for two weeks like other doctors have done. It is difficult to reach this office as they rarely answer the phone, disconnect/drop calls, fail to return calls or speak only Spanish. Jennifer, I believe, is the only English speaking receptionist & while she is very nice in person, either she doesn't return calls or isn't getting messages left for her. That said, DR SERPA IS AMAZING!! Once you meet him, it is obvious why he is one of the best in this field. Confident, Capable, Knowledgeable, Experienced, Caring & Trustworthy are easily associated with him. As one can see from other reviews, they are positive for the doctor however the consensus is that the office staff is the problem; even causing a loss of revenue. My husband has ulcerative colitis, and has been on a biologic medication for years. For those who…read moredo not know, biologic medications cannot have missed doses as the immune system will build tolerance to the med and the medication will no longer work against the disease. We went to the gastro side of the office to get a new prescription as we had just moved to the area. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 11:00am appointment, we were not seen by a doctor until 2:00pm. As someone who works in healthcare, I understand the office can get backed up, but 3 hours late is excessive. I had to ask multiple times after waiting over 2 hours to make sure we would still be seen. The office was completely empty after 12:30pm and we still had to wait over an hour. We were sent a prescription good for a year, the office sent a prior authorization for our insurance for only a month. The office is completely unreachable. After multiple phone calls, I finally got a text that a new prior authorization was sent. The prior authorization was sent to the wrong pharmacy, at this point my husband was 3 days late for his dose... the clock is already ticking as he has 14 days before this medication will not work for him. After calling 6 times, I finally spoke to a representative that sent the prior authorization and called the pharmacy saying I can overnight the medication. We are now at day 10 of a missed dose despite multiple requests for an emergency dose as he now has 4 days left before being unable to take a medication that has worked for YEARS. Anyone that has or understands UC knows that many patients have only 1 or 2 medications work for them. If he is unable to take this medication, he may not have other medications work for him, which can lead to a lifetime (its a lifetime illness!) of illness and serious complications. This is honestly negligence, and we are fearing for my husband's health because a doctor's office cannot coordinate his care. If you are seeking any care, I would stay as far away from this office and seek care elsewhere.

I've learned that it's a journey to find the right health care provider but I'm so happy to have found Julisa. She is the ARNP in Dr. Marika's office. She takes her time to listen to your concerns and preventative healthcare is a priority. The wait time wasn't long, staff was friendly, and I was in and out within an hour for my recent appointment. They were able to accommodate me last year with a virtual/phone call visit but I'm not sure if they still offer that. If you need to get your labs done, they can do them in the office or you can get it done at another lab or Quest Diagnostics.
