I didn't have much of a vision - just wanted the yard to "look nicer" but not break the bank. He was able to help me fill in the details and propose good ideas for how to redo things. He sent over a detailed quote and sketch that matched exactly what we discussed, and he was very communicative all along the way. His team showed up when they said they would, were very unintrusive and kind, and they got the job done efficiently. Overall, very very happy with the entire process, and the results look great! Would definitely recommend and would use again.

Weren't sure exactly what we wanted, but had a vision. Charlie brought in his designer and she worked with us to put our vision on paper. It took a while for us to decide on the right pavers and stones to use since we wanted to include existing limestone rocks so they would match closely to our old home. Charlie was super patient and drove around with us to different stone yards to show us what is available. Charlie was great to work with! His entire team worked tirelessly to turn our blank slate of a house into something out of a design book in about two weeks. Could not recommend Burlap and Bloom enough.

A gentleman from Primm's came out to look at the property and give me an estimate on weeding some…read moreflower beds and trimming some trees. Nice guy. We had a good chat. The estimate came in around 2k. $630 of that was for weeding the beds, which I could do in about an hour by myself. They budgeted 6 hours for it. They also budgeted 6 hours to put mulch on those beds for another $630. I told them that was too high for the work (and that I'd just weed and mulch the beds myself) and asked them to send an estimate for just the tree trimming (which was about $600). I was told that just the tree trimming would not meet their minimum requirement to send out a team. So, $600 for an hour of work for two men was not worth their time. Holy cow is that a bad business model. I was really surprised by that response. If this is the kind of price-gouging and entitled service you can expect from Primm's, steer clear.

I just moved to Mt Juliet from out of state and discovered the home I had bought, and was…read morerehabbing, had a serious drainage problem. I discussed this with my general contractor who suggested an elaborate drainage system. It looked reasonable but was going to cost a fortune so I sought the wisdom of someone who specialized in the subject and found Yaardvark. I met Nick at my site and he explained that his first inclination is to let gravity work for us and take a re-grading approach to make the water go where we needed it to go. Nick was well equipped with a really cool, elevation measuring instrument that provided vital elevation info in a few minutes. He also recommended replacing the downspout drainage system (cheap corrugated) with smooth pipe that doesn't clog up after a few years. Nick showed me the old corrugated piping he replaced which was completely packed with dirt, no drainage happening at all. Nick had the new plan implemented in a couple weeks. It has proven totally effective through recent storms, and at a fraction of the cost and complexity that had been proposed by others. I have appreciated Nick's amicable nature and honest approach to efficient problem solving. My strongest recommendation.

The stones are loose and a trip hazard. Broken stones were installed in the patio. They replaced one but broke another one which has still not been replaced a month later. They used cinder blocks to make a retaining wall and tried to tell me it would be smooth and it would not be obvious it was cinder blocks. However, they cut one so that the hole is in the side of the wall. They have done nothing to "fix" anything as they said they would. When I told Gary, the owner, how unhappy I was with everything, he was genuinely shocked and acted like it was just my opinion. He said anybody else that saw it would think it was a great job. They wanted payment before they were finished and still owe me a refund for overpayment. I've paid them thousands of dollars but will also have to pay somebody else to fix all of their mistakes.

Multiple things went wrong as well as they subcontracted my job out without telling me. Broken pipes. Cut Xfinity cable wiring. Zone coverage issues. Etc.. My project went through 3 contractors during that time. They apologized and told me that was not the way they want to do business. Fast forward one year. Just be careful hiring them for irrigation.

We built our home five years ago and wanted to finally finish the landscaping off our walk out…read morebasement. We also needed to fix landscaping mistakes our builder's landscaper made when the house was constructed (you can see just a few of those in another review I made). We had several landscapers come out to look at the project, but the complexity and scale resulted in most not responding after the initial meeting. We contacted Coyote Creek and Graham (the owner) came out to look at the project. I felt we probably had a good, reputable company when he asked if he could send his designer out to walk the project. That resulted in a professionally done design schematic of various drainage remediation measures, hardscape, and landscaping. Coyote Creek provided me with two hardscape options based on our budget. Once we decided, Coyote Creek began work promptly and I was extremely impressed with their foreman, Nate, and all the workers who transformed our backyard. We live on a steeply sloped property and it was, to put it mildly, a challenging project. Nate was exceptional in transforming a design into reality and making necessary changes to account for geographic realities. For example, the design had a beautiful paver patio off our basement that would segue into grass. The degree of slope prevented that, so Nate recommended a quarter wall to retain the patio's size and shape. Coyote Creek was also very responsive to a few changes and additions we made. Through it all, Coyote Creek held the highest quality standards. No corners were cut, and I believe we have a beautiful hardscape that will stand the test of time. I plan to have Coyote Creek do some additional work around my barn in the near future--their work is that good. Highly recommend!
