I cold called around and talked to everyone in the mobile small engine / lawnmower repair game - and honestly, Chieftains was the most responsive, most reasonably priced, and the most pleasant to deal with - just a solid down to earth company. Scheduled everything online! Service tech came out when he said he would and knocked the job out in under a hour with no hassles or issues. Oh, and he didn't try and waste my time upselling me on stuff I didn't need (or in my case probably do need because this mower is old lol) - point being, he did the job I said I wanted without adding pressure to make me spend more money. Super easy going, knowledgeable, experienced, reliable, and kind. I truly cannot recommend Chieftains enough. As a former business owner, I'm always critical of the customer service I receive because I know how important it was to me to give my clients the best experience, but it's getting harder to find companies or contractors that take pride in providing the customer with the best experience. Chieftains really took the time to make sure I was supported and satisfied with their work and my overall experience. So let me save you the hassle of calling around and talking to companies that make you feel like they are reluctantly doing you a favor - this is the company and service you're hoping to find. You'll thank me later and thank you, Chieftains!!!

It was going to cost $12k. I've used Leibrand's in the past and knew they'd give me honest answers. They fixed the cracked head for 1/3 the price of the other shop. They were great and communicated everything I needed. They gave me 3 options to fix it along with reasonable quotes. Since I'm retired and on a fixed income, I chose the cheapest route. They fixed it but I had a related issue that showed up after driving it about 10 miles. I took the car back and left it after-hours along with a phone message explaining the problem. They called the following morning and told me what they found, fixed it and to come get it, no charge. While I may have experienced some inconvenience, I considered it minor and was treated courteously with the utmost respect. I have to say, their technicians are professional and the one who worked on my car explained what he discovered and showed me the part that failed and what I needed to do next, maintenance-wise. The work bays are the cleanest of any shop I've ever seen. I highly recommend Leibrand's, you won't regret it.

Getting the truck back and it repeatedly stalling out over the next two weeks, I called back and asked about their diagnostic and why the issue hadn't been looked into further. They balked and were rude, told me there had been no failure for them to diagnose, told me there was no crystal ball, and that I should expect irregularities in a truck that old. They said that since the truck was mechanical, it showed no codes, and there was nothing to be done. They basically didn't want to work on the truck, more or less didn't, insulted me and wasted my time. I wouldn't give them business unless you had to.
