Lately, I've been really concerned about the fact that Pinoys don't really like vegetables. Every single restaurant I go to, it appears that vegetables are only there as an afterthought, when they technically should occupy half (or more than half) of your plate. Thankfully, Go! Salads in Eastwood is a salad bar that's been gaining popularity in Quezon City by serving up healthy food and pre-packaged salad at affordable price points. Their hummus is really good, but I'm an even bigger fan of their green smoothies. There are few places in the metro that make green smoothies 'accessible,' and Go! Salads actually does a brilliant job of making green smoothies less gross and actually crave-able.
If you're a first-timer, I suggest getting the Guzzler, which has sugar-free peanut butter, banana, coco sugar, spirulina, greens, soy milk and oats in it - reminds me of the peanut butter and banana milkshake from Jonah's in Boracay. Although my personal go-to green smoothie is the Breakfast Smoothie, which has apple, banana, oats, coco sugar, cinnamon, coco sugar, chia seeds, greens and soy milk in it. Yum! read more
