I'm sorry to say that Craft Salad located at the food court of SM Aura in Taguig is a good idea that didn't consider their pricing structure too carefully.
I love a good salad, and eating healthy is fine with me. Some will dismiss salads as rabbit food, but no one can deny the health benefits of eating fresh greens.
Craft Salad's salads are too expensive for a food court. Their prices belong more to fine dining restaurants. For samplers, their regular Craft salad goes for P220, Thai crunch at P250, and Craft prawn Caesar at P270.
It may be an unfair comparison, but didn't fastfood joint Wendy's have an assemble your own for around a hundred bucks not too long ago?
Their pasta and rice meals are more realistic, price-wise. Their vegetable buccatini, smoked ham arugula pesto goes for P160, while their stir fried shrimp, asparagus and bell peppers on brown rice is at P200.
I don't consider myself a cheapskate, but I believe in getting good value for money. read more
