I traveled to several repair shops to get some bulbs replaced and didn't have any luck. It seemed like a simple job but just couldn't get any answers until I came here. Alex was in the front and even though he seemed really busy he took the time to come out and look at the car. He was able to change one bulb very easily and quickly. The other bulb required a lot more effort but he was very clear in his explanation and the reasoning behind it. No one else could do that after visiting several other repair shops. I have not used these guys -- yet -- but I most definitely will. My rating is based on the fact that I got some suspiciously expensive recommendations for various car repairs from a local dealer service shop and wanted a second opinion. Long story short, Alex told me that one repair (a thousand-dollar repair) was completely unnecessary (don't get me started about the unethical behavior of the first service shop), and two other repairs weren't needed for a while. So he basically talked himself out of multiple high-dollar sales. (By the way, he told me he used to work for the above-mentioned shop and that their regular tactic is straight-up lying to customers). I am saddened to write this review of Alex at Go Pro. Go Pro was recommended to me by Davis Brothers Tires. My mechanic of many years has passed on and I was looking for a new mechanic. First let me clarify...Jesus is a wonderful mechanic. If you have anything major try to get Jesus, not Alex. Jesus is thorough, patient and takes pride in his work. I have seen Alex work wonderful at little fix it issues. Unfortunately, Alex told me that I needed my engine rebuilt done on my van. I trusted that the work would be done with the excellence I had received in the past from Jesus. Instead my vehicle was serviced by Alex. It took six weeks before I received my vehicle back and as I received it, it was noisy and had low power. When I mentioned this to Alex began to over talk me and stated that he took 25 hours to work on my vehicle even though he had it for six weeks. I tried on two different occasions to resolve this with him both times no success. I took my vehicle to another mechanic, who found my timing belt too tight and work done not skillfully conducted. I pray no one gets treated the way I was treated...it was unfair and demeaning. I take pride in maintaining a good running vehicle Alex has hurt that reputation. read more

I drive from San Fernando Valley just to come here to Go Pros, it is well worth the drive. I've used Alex before and I trust him 100%. He has saved me thousands of dollars going through him. I once brought him my car because of a noise that it was making and within minutes he found my problem. He discovered it was a twig stuck between my tire and fender. Not my most proud moment. I recently blew out my engine and I'm a bit demanding with my car on using original parts especially since it's a collector's and Alex was able to rebuild my engine like new. I wish I could give Alex a 10 stars review because 5 stars is definitely not enough . I could sit here for hours and write in details why I am so satisfied with Alex services and the help of his staff but I am gonna try to keep it as short as possible. I was Refered to Alex by a friend who also own a Mercedes Benz because I told him my car is out of warranty and people trying to rip me off. I knew that for sure because My Brother is a mechanic on the east coast and he told me how much it should cost the fix the problem in my car . So before I went to Alex took my car to the Mercedes dealer for a diagnostic and get a quote from them plus 4 other quotes from 4 different shops and Alex's prices was WAY CHEAPER than all them at least by 50%. So I took my car to him for a power steering pump and a rack.He originally get the pump rebuild but shortly after the pump started to leak again. I called him and without hesitation he ask me to bring the car back. Not only he replaced the pump this time with a BRAND NEW PUMP he did NOT charge any additional fees AND he gave me his car to drive while he had my car. He went above and beyond to make sure I was 1000% satisfied . His mannerism and attitude never changed and I tried to tip him he did not want to take it . He is beyond professional, a beautiful and respectful human being , kind and accommodating. I wish I could find a better word to describe him.If you are a female , want quality work, don't want to get ripped off and you scared to go to a Mecanic because you think they will take advantage of you I GUARANTEE you That you can trust Alex 10000%. I hope my car never give me another problem but if it does I will rest assure that I can take my car back to Alex and will not spend a fortune and would need to shop around for a better quote because he delivers the best work and his prices are the CHEAPEST.
